Kings head inn in Shropshire

4 of us went for sunday lunch. Its very good value for money.

Had the Sunday Lunch which is carvery style. Great value at £9.50. Choice of 4 meats and plenty of different veg. They also do a takeaway version which seemed to be very popular.

Took my Aunt for Sunday lunch today, heard some good reports, all true, superb food, excellent service and very reasonably priced, we will be going again, most enjoyable ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a lovely local pub, everything that pubs used to be. It was a warm welcome with a friendly atmosphere, great selection of drinks, very reasonably priced and although I didn't eat the Sunday carvery looked delicious. I'll be back for sure to try it out .

Very good pub been going there from the time I was able to drink to now even though it has had a few publicans it has always been a pub that you will go back too again and again. If you decide to go you will meet one of the nicest people you could meet which is iain and he will make you feel very welcome and it will be a lovely experience and the food is absolutely beautiful too. Make your own mind up but I bet it will be be worth it

Passed many times first time to go in. In past(probably due to COVID lockdowns and then restrictions) thought it was closed down. Recently realised it was still operational. Pleasant pub welcoming, well maintained and cared. Will definitely use again.

Me and my partner went in for a drink last night, mainly because it was local. Unknowingly to us, it had recently been taken over. The service was second to none, fresh pints and cocktails too. Thoroughly enjoyable night and a brilliant atmosphere too. Keep it up!

Absolutely brilliant service! As we lost our bank card and the bartender struggled get to it but he did, had to take apart the entire bar sofa to get to it. Absolutely amazing atmosphere!

I didn’t hold out much hope for food here, but it actually isn’t bad at all. Good cheap food like all marstons, but usually depends on the cook. Luckily here they actually care.

Food was enjoyable. Nice size portions.

My husband and I booked a table for Sunday lunch. We both ordered the Roast Beef, which was carved beautifully onto our plates accompanied with what appeared as home made Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and gravy. The seperate vegetables were also fresh apart from the peas. Everyone who works there were very pollite and could not do enough for us. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend The Pub for Sunday lunch.

Newly refurbished, good service and great value for money food & drink.

We have known this pub for more than 10 years. It has had a variety of landlords/ladies and we're delighted at the current offering. The pub is warm and welcoming and the food which was priced at budget level (£6.45), included a large chicken breast with chips, salad and mayo was piping hot and delicious. Form an orderly queue because there isn't much room. There are daily specials which we look forward to munching through in the coming weeks.

Definitely could do better both with quality of food and cleanliness of the toilets. Yes, very friendly and pleasant atmosphere but we are not encouraged to return.

Just had a lkovely lasagne and hunters chicken at the Kings head. Great friendly service lovely food and a new management also. Well done and congratulations Sarah and the team ,well done on your new venure.

Just had the mixed grill must say it was perfect and only £8.15 the chef Chad did a fantastic meal all I can say is try it you won't be disappointed and the owners great to talk to.

Stopped by on the way out of Market Drayton...the food was a good price, served well and was hot - rare these days! Friendly welcome and great drinks....

Wednesday night curry night. Excellent food and great value

The King's Head is at the top of our road, and we visit from time to time either as a couple or with our 3 children. Our older boys often pick here if we offer them the chance to go out for tea. The food is always lovely and portions are excellent. We haven't had a single complaint in all the time we've been visiting. Mark is a super landlord, always popping over to talk and have a joke with the children. Always good beer on offer too! We will definitely continue to make it our pub of choice!

We chose this pub for the fact it allows dogs and showed Sky Sports. Very glad we went here as once the telly worked we were able to watch the footie, with our dog and additionally we decided to have some food. There was a good variety on the menu and the Sunday dinner was excellent! Exceptional value for money with loads of vegetables and good service - thanks.

Visited last week & was pleasantly surprised at the great quality of the food. Service was excellent with lovely staff. They recommended the best dishes which were all served very quickly. I will definitely be going again

I have visited this pub(nearest to our house,therefore convenient) on quite a few occasions over the last few years for a meal,either with friends or on our own.Generally it has been quite good,one or two exceptions!.They now have a new "Chef",Sarah,she is highly experienced.(I must now say that she is the mother of 2 of my grandchildren).Having said that,if she produced poor food ,I would be the first to tell her,with no hesitation('cause I know where she lives).We went last night with one of our Grandchildren and the meal was excellent,no issues,well cooked and presented.At the moment,I would certainly recommend the Kings Head to all those who have never tried it.
