We have had lovely lunches here previously so went with high expectations. The ciabattas are delicious & come with some salad, coleslaw & crisps. Sadly the salad bowl, as a main option, was expensive for what it was & extremely disappointing. Lettuce (Iceberg & way too much), cucumber, red pepper (way too much), celery, tomato & onion. So boring & unimaginative & a very poor option for vegans & vegetarian. I ate my husband’s crisps which helped. I love salad and eat it every day for lunch, but this defeated me when it could have been livened up quite easily - even some coleslaw would have helped.

Visited Jones's for a meal with my partner and as usual it was very good. The welcome was friendly, service very good and food, getting even better since we last booked. It is not a large menu compared to some other Italian restaurants(I think that is not a bad thing because one can spend too much time making a choice and then,no I think I will have that or shall I have that or no that looks good, all the time whilst the waiter is visibly ageing) but it does give a quality choice of diiferent foods which are well presented and well cooked.During the daytime it is a coffee shop but on Thur,Fri and Sat evenings,it opens with retaurant facilities. If you are visiting Market Drayton,I would certainly recommend this venue but I would certainly book a table prior to visiting

Booked a table for two last Saturday and had a lovely meal paired with a very good wine. I had the Spanish pizza with chorizo and red peppers (with added pepperoni that I asked for) and it was so good. My girlfriend had the lasagne with fresh tomatoes and basil and we chose a bottle of Pinot Grigio to accompany the food. The service was excellent and the food was fresh and very tasty. Well worth trying but book in advance as it is popular here and very a very intimate dining experience.

Nine of us called into Jones's for a lunchtime snack. Most of the group enjoyed a speciality coffee and cake, whilst others, including myself, were tempted by the home-made minted pea and ham soup. Very clean, good service and lovely food. What more need l say?!

Ten of us descended for lunch, very warm welcome from the friendly staff. We had a mixture of toasties and jacket spuds - the food was beautifully presented with gorgeous home-made coleslaw and lots of filling. We had 4 kids with us and the staff served them first, which was great! Lunch and drinks for 10 was only about £75, excellent value for money. Can't recommend enough!

Popped in for an early lunch today and we both really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is lovely,we were greeted with a very warm welcome and had a choice of tables to sit at. The coffee and teas were lovely - lots of choice if you like coffee. The food was yummy,we both went for the panini option and the portion sizes were very generous. Staff were very friendly! All in all a wonderful coffee house and will definitely be returning!!

Visited with family during the week for dinner. Food was excellent. I had the special of the day (Pene Vodka). The chef recommended it and I was not disappointed. The service was also very good. Definitely would recommend. It is worth a visit if you are in the area!

We had our works Christmas do here for 30+ people and we stayed the night. Front of house staff were lovely and welcoming, but that is all I can really say nice about our stay. Our room was like something out of the 70/80s very twee and old-fashioned. Quilt cover had a rip in it. Bath looked old, faint smell of cigarette smoke. No soap, shower gel etc in the bathroom - to help save the planet apparently - you could request some at reception. We were woken about 6am by what I assume was some kind of water cistern behind one of the bedroom walls that sounded like a plane going over head. The party. Arrival time was stated as 7pm and most (about 180) turned up about then. We were all crowded into the bar which wasn't big enough and soon warmed up to a very uncomfortable temperature. They eventually let us in at 8pm. Drinks were astronomically expensive - £7.50 for a pint £8.20 for a Baileys or a large glass of wine (£25+ by the bottle) and £7.20 for a pint of coke!!!. The main course wasn't served until after 9pm and my beef was dry and tasteless, though others who had the turkey said it wasn't bad. And my Xmas pudding was dry too. All in all not somewhere I would ever go again and certainly don't know where it gets it 4 star rating from. I did voice most of my complaints to reception before leaving.

The service was friendly and the food absolutely first-rate. Can recommend the Ploughman’s which is loaded with cheese, really top notch ham, and lovely crusty bread. Would have loved to stay for cake but we were all too full.
