Bella Italia in Shropshire

Bella Italia Market Drayton. What a fantastic little authentic Italian restaurant and a great addition to Market Drayton's culinary offerings, complementing the already excellent nearby Foodshion (oriental) and Pickles (Indian). The fact that it is fairly small, 4 tables of 4 and a table for 6 gives it a really cosy and intimate vibe but with plenty of space between tables to afford privacy. The decor and lighting is quirky and has been really well thought out to provide a great experience for those seeking either a romantic atmosphere or somewhere different for a small celebration with family and friends. The background music was perfect. The menu is an Italian foodies' delight with a great range of beautifully prepared and presented pasta dishes along with a wide selection of meat dishes all at an excellent price. Thankfully not a pizza in sight! We were a party of 5 and shared the house antipasti (a large selection of cured meats, cheeses, olives and bruschetta) followed by various pasta dishes, Tiramisu or coffee all for less than £25 per head! They have a selection of soft drinks including zero alcohol beer, wine and fizz, or you can take your own alcohol. The service was top notch, attentive but not intrusive. This is definitely our new favourite local restaurant and will return very soon.

A Christmas Feast to Remember! Our Christmas party meal was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we walked in, the festive atmosphere was warm and inviting, with twinkling lights and tasteful holiday decor setting the perfect tone for our celebration. The staff was exceptionally attentive and friendly, making us feel truly welcome throughout the evening. Every detail, from the table settings to the personalized service, reflected their commitment to excellence. And then came the food – a culinary masterpiece! The Christmas menu was thoughtfully curated, offering a delightful mix of traditional holiday favorites and innovative dishes. Each course was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The roast turkey was succulent, the sides were expertly seasoned, and the desserts – especially the decadent Christmas pudding – were a sweet finale that left everyone raving. Whether you're planning a festive gathering, a romantic dinner, or simply craving an exceptional dining experience . Bella Italia is the place to be. We left with full stomachs, happy hearts, and wonderful memories – already looking forward to next year’s celebration!

The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, making us feel right at home. The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious – every bite was a delight! small Italian restaurant, had the place to ourselves as England were playing but suspect you usually need to book. food was very reasonable price and tasty. came to £62 for 2 x 3 courses (no alcohol). Did not see any parking, we found street parking a very short distance away

Our first time here and will be returning! Lovely food, intimate surroundings and great service from Mario. Excellent value as you BYO drink. Book early as limited covers. When we were in there were several ‘regulars’ which is always a good sign. MD is luckyr to have this restaurant.

Oh my...couldn't fault the place. Been wanting to come here since it opened and finally got a table tonight. We had the antipasta and prawn thingy to start I had the traditional Lasagne and my husband had something with mussels in. The food was out if this world. I can't wait go back! It's very intimate and you have take your own alcohol if you want a drink. However they do offer alcohol free. Very reasonable priced too in fact I think its too cheap for how tasty it is. Round of applause for everybody involved. 👏

Since our first visit to Bella Italia me and my partner have been coming back more and more often! The food is excellent, and so far we haven't managed to find a dish we haven't enjoyed. The prawn starter especially for me is simple but delicious! The food is also very reasonably priced, and you can have a very enjoyable 3 course meal for £30 or less a head, while being full at the end of a lovely evening. The service is also excellent. The gentleman who runs front of house is always very friendly and accommodating, and goes the extra mile to try and make each visit better than the last. Service is prompt and effective but never feels over bearing. It is definitely our go to place to eat out, and I always take anyone visiting me here for dinner as it is a great restaurant that only Drayton has. It is a small place so you may need to book, but that does make for a very cosy and intimate atmosphere that I enjoy greatly. It is also worth mentioning that they are not licensed, but are very accommodating of customers bringing their own alcohol. There is no parking for the restaurant but the car park only a minutes walk away is free after 6pm so that is no issue!

Been for the first time tonight although it was nice both my starter and main was quite dry and bland I had a steak dish there wasn't any extra sauces available to purchase to I had it dry my wife had a pasta dish she said that was lovely so we may go back and have pasta

Walked in to a very classy room, crystal glasses, black and gold decor - very smart all round. Our meals were all lovely, with lovely fresh ingredients, tasty and colourful starter, main pasta dish was very good value and tasted amazing. No room for a desert (but those who did said they were lovely!). Thank you, we’ll be back!

Had a lovely romantic meal for 2 here tonight. We were both impressed with both starter and main. Packed full of flavour and plenty of it too. You can tell this is a family run restaurant and not a chain. Compliments to the chef as well as front of house. We hope to visit again very soon.

Lovely family run business not to be confused with the Bella Italia chain. Excellent meal, enjoyed by all. Authentic Italian cuisine. Excellent quality food, reasonable prices. BYO alcoholic drinks. Will definitely be going again, thoroughly recommend a visit if you haven't already done so.

Booked a table a few weeks ago as we are in the area for the Easter weekend. Arrived this evening to a notice on the door saying closed for a week. No call or prior message Very poor.

Went there last night, a group of 4, the meal was lovely and the service excellent. Only one small point that the main course was brought to the table when one of our group was still eating their starter. Understandable as there is only one person waiting on.

Only downside was sitting next to door ona cold night

6 of us ate at Bella Italia this evening. It was lovely. 3 courses plus coffee all enjoyed with our BYO wine. Very good value for the quality of the food. Will definitely be back.

Myself and some friends came for a meal, it was our first visit! The service was excellent, the main meals were excellent followed by an lovely pudding. The only thing we found was the starter was too salty which I couldn’t eat, but other than that it was a lovely meal .
