Was always great food, hope to see you guys again!

Had the pleasure of eating Press De Cuba at a local street food market, mouthwatering food and really stood out as something different to what you usually see in the UK! Following along on socials to see what they do next, best of luck to them in whatever direction they take😊

So gutted to hear this is “no longer there” - brilliant food, fab local business. Can’t wait to see what they will do next and where they might pop up. Try whenever and wherever you can!

Wow as a qualified chef who has been lucky enough to eat some great food all over the world, I can tell you this food is amazing, great taste well presented and cooked to perfection And it’s only in Shrewsbury well worth the drive of over an hour Thankyou

Someone has told us about the Cuban sandwiches here, so we finally got round to calling in. My gosh, one of the best sandwiches I’ve had for a very long time. Bear in mind the amazing loaded fries are big portions, so, if you’re having them with the sandwiches, maybe share one unless you have a big appetite. In addition, they had a great beer selection; I had the Joules Stone Ale IPA which was one of the nicest pints I’ve had in a long time. Would definitely recommend though if I go back I’ll order at the bar not from the QR code on the tables. Was too much of a rigmarole for me.

I never write reviews but - WOW - what a meal 👏 Thank you so much Press De Cuba 😊 My partner & I ate here tonight after seeing the food on a previous visit. I had the “El Jefe” & my partner had the “El Asado”plus we shared “XL cheesy fries”. It was honestly 1 of the nicest, tastiest meals we’ve had in a long, long time. The bread was AMAZING, the meat was super tender and the flavours were just out of this world 🌎 . The chips were some of the best we’ve EVER tasted too. It’s obvious the chef cares about his food. We couldn’t finish it all as the portions were decent, especially for the price, so the chef offered to wrap it up for us to take away as we just couldn’t bear the thought of wasting such nice food! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone. If you want great, tasty, flavoursome food that’s fairly priced try PDC!!

Really good food, worth the short walk out of town.

The team catered for one of our events and the food and service was incredible. Plus the variety on offer was hugely helpful to guests with different requirements, will definitely be using again in the future.

Popped in for what I thought would be Traditional Sunday Lunch and Surprised by Cuban food menu . Was looking for roast beef Sunday lunch , but pleasantly Surprised .

i had the El Jefe Especialle, and cheesy cuban fries. Quite literally the best thing I've eaten in a long while 🤤🤤 If I wasn't on holiday here I'd be back regularly. My Mrs was very, very happy with her Vegan choice 😁 Which is nice to see as Vegan food is often hit and miss for her. This place has put as much love into both the meaty and the veggie options. A*

Eaten at the Dolphin a few times and it's been excellent. Just had delivery. Really great also, well packaged and hot. Loads of flavours and very filling. Looking forward to next time.

I’d walk miles to eat this food. Best sandwich I’ve ever had - Cuban or else. Ate their food first when they went to the RAD pub and then followed them to The Dolphin. Absolutely incredible food for any occasion! Count me in for the foreseeable future.

Can't comment as it was closed the day we popped in to the Dolphin for a drink.

Oh my gosh!! The most flavoursome punchy meal out in a VERY long time!! Blown away by the superb flavour combinations. Absolutely delicious! Look forward to stopping in again. Can't recommend highly enough!

Great place, really nice looking, friendly, it is a pub together with a restaurant which is a great combination, especially cause the sandwiches they serve are delicious 😋 we tried press de cuba sandwiches on shrewsbury food festival for the first time and they were perfect, that made us become a regular visitors of this place whenever we are looking for something nice to eat :) highly recommended!

Great food ! Really filling and different!

Press De Cuba do the best "sandwiches" in town by a country mile. (To call them just sandwiches does them a diservice) Delicious, different and to die for food that always arrives piping hot with their sensational fries!! Deceptively filling and always just the right amount , these guys have hit the proverbial nail on the head. These are simply our go to take out 👌🏻

Always excellent food with great vegetarian options. Love their Cuban fries and the sides too.

The El Cubano is a seriously great sandwich - excellent bread, very moist pork… a totally perfect flavour combination. I have eaten iconic sandwiches all over the world, and this is right up there. Can’t wait to eat another!

If God made sandwiches this is how I suspect they would taste. Very filling too, good value.

The cubanos have great mixed fillings, meat, vegetarian or vegan, all full of flavour. Tried the loaded fries tonight for the first time, awesome!

Nothing else like this in Shrewsbury. Easily up there with one of my favourite take aways. Standard is always so strong. Would highly recommend.

Have been to the Dolphin many times, but missed the Press De Cuba food nights the few times we’ve been there and hungry. Tonight we scored. Tried a selection of the sides and some of the pressed sandwiches. All of it was very tasty and we’re looking forward to coming back again! Highly recommend!

Absolutely Love Press De Cuba - Always on point, cooked fresh and always tastier than I remembered! The Dolphin is a great little pub too! Got in the habit of a weekly visit - it is too good to miss!

Love Joules pubs but arrived knowing nothing about the kitchen and wow. I knew nothing about Cuban street food but I'm a massive fan now. The flavour combinations were exceptional and the slow-cooked meats were so tender. Really fresh cooking served in pretty funky way. Portions were huge and had to ask for a doggy bag. Great value and will definitely be back!

Fantastic food, I ordered El Jefe Especial, beef super tender full of flavor, slightly hot for my hubby but nor for me!! And we were full!! Totally recommend it!

I was way too busy stuffing the remains of the food into my mouth to be able to respond to the staff when asked how the food was. If I had had a chance to come up for air I would have kissed him then shook his hand. The food is amazing!! If you have a chance, take it with both hands and don't look back, you'll be visiting again.

Amazing food with great vegetarian options. Food is as fresh through the Zoom delivery app as it is in house. Great value too as the sandwiches as packed full. Number 1 take away in Shrewsbury.

We visited the Dolphin in Shrewsbury and had various Cuban sandwiches and sides from Press de Cuba. The food is amazing. We ended up ordering take out for the next day. The service was spot on and all of the staff are very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed cubanos it was tasty with a touch of the practical. Joey Tribianni was right if you can't put it in a sandwich it's not worth eating. OK he might not have said that but you want to give your taste buds a trip to casa de sabor get down to the dolphin with good beer and inexpensive. We'll be back.
