Jaipur Restaurant in Shropshire

Came here for a meal with family for a birthday last night (25/10/24). The food was fantastic, full of flavour and fresh, but the service, lacks severely. It took nigh on 15 minutes to present us with the bill, to which we reviewed and found they had added £10+. We looked at the menu we were presented with when entering and found that they had increased each meal we had by £2. Yes, £2 isn't too much of an increase, but it is the principal of it. Without any prior notice, they had increased the prices without changing it on the menu we were handed. They also said the card machine was not working, even though we saw a customer (who happened to be my uncle) come in and pay on card (via contactless) as he had no cash. It's such a shame to be honest. The food itself as aforementioned is brilliant, but the service from the 'manager' is disappointing and very poor. He did not even apologise for trying to pull the wool over our eyes with the prices. Check your final bill when it comes to the table and make sure nothing has been added on.

On a drive by coming back from Wem to home. I love finding market town restaurants and this one is excellent. Two chapattis, garlic chilli chicken and mushroom rice. Magic, just what I wanted asked for it to be a little bit more spicy, madras hot. Just delicious, friendly welcome and we enjoyed a great chat with the manager. I had mongoose lager and wife had the cobra. Places to park just around the corner. Overall, great experience, good service and food came out promptly. Reasonable prices too. Little Jaipur is a fab find, at the home of the gingerbread man.

A group of 4 , we all had different dishes and were all very tasty , excellent service too , wouldn't hesitate to go back again 😋

Very good food, good presentation. Not too much sauce in our dishes and they were just the right amount. Very little left. The poppadoms were really good as were the dips.

A last minute visit on a Saturday, surprised we could get a table during a busy Saturday night. Food was superb, served pretty fast and friendly service. A place with lots of choice. Would recommend

Went for family meal, 8 people,very pleased with food, and very friendly atmosphere.

Had starter and main for 2 and we had a couple of cokes food was OK but did come to just shy of £80 found it quite expensive

I ordered a vegetarian Thali takeaway tonight. It was so tasty. 7 containers of lovely dishes Inc rice. Plus Salad, popudom and sauces. And a nan bread. Cooked by the Owner due to lockdown & best one out of 15 I've had. Many thanks. Robin

I always use to go to Jaipur but had not been for a long time...went last weekend and the food and service was brilliant. It was the nicest curry I have had in a long time. I will definitely be going back and will recommend it to others. Thanks for a lovely evening.

I have had the delight of visiting this restaurant multiple times and the food has always been excellent! I would claim it is the best in the area. My mum and I always eat off the vegetarian menu and I have tried the veg thali (very big, quite delicious!) and most of the side accompaniments (they're very good value for the amount of food). I had a birthday super here a week ago and everyone present commented on the great food. The portions are generous so don't make our mistake in over ordering - it adds up quickly (oops!). I also cannot say enough how funny and charming the owner of the establishment is, always welcoming whether we dine in or take away.

booked a table for 2 . was put on a table for 4 with 2 strangers. when we complained we were told tough. waiter was rude and agressive. told them to stick it and went to the oruna up the road. much better service
