Gem of a place in Market Drayton. Traditional tea room in a historic tudor building. Family friendly and warm welcoming atmosphere. Food is home cooked with a wide choice. We always go for the fabulous Full English!

Great little personal cafe in an old Victorian building, coffee to sit in or go. Home made cakes and great breakfasts for veggies. Highly recommended if in the area. You won’t regret it.

Popped in for a cup of tea and stayed for the all day breakfast! Delicious food, great prices and excellent service. This quaint cafe is a real find and John, the owner, made us feel like regulars. We will definitely be back for a piece of the delicious looking home made cakes.

What a little gem of a place. Hidden away in a beautiful Tudor oak frame building is an amazing tea room cafe. The owner John is a super host and the food is fresh home cooked and wonderful. A great place to visit.

You get a very warm and friendly welcome at this fantastic little place. It has a lovely atmosphere. There is a very good and varied menu, with everything freshly cooked and nicely presented. Good range of plant based options and special diets are catered for. Spotlessly clean. The friendly owner makes a real effort to ensure that everything runs smoothly and the service is excellent. The prices are very reasonable as well. It is a lovely little place and more than a tea room, although it does of course serve some lovely teas.

We were looking for somewhere to have a spot of brunch and passed The Little Tea Room. It really is easy to miss and if it wasn’t for the fact we saw the board advertising it we probably would have done, however it is a fantastic place and I would strongly recommend anybody visiting Market Drayton to call into this lovely Tudor building. The service from John was fantastic, he was very welcoming and attentive, all of the items on the menu are very well priced and it is apparent they get regulars, the quality of the food and cooking made it all great value for money. We are vegetarian so ordered two vegetarian breakfasts and they were excellent, the whole experience was great, they also had freshly baked cakes and scones, I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

I visited here with my mother in law a few days ago on a sunny but very cold afternoon and we just wanted a coffee somewhere. We were walking by here and it looked lovely, so in we went. We had a lovely warm welcome from John the owner and sat at the table in the window, which was decorated with a small Christmas tree and has a lovely view over the other lovely Tudor buildings which line this street. We ordered coffee for two, then we saw the scones, so we had one each served with jam and clotted cream. The total cost was £7.50 We happily sat there for 45 minutes chatting away and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. John was chatty and nothing was too much trouble. The cafe itself is a small Tudor building which is warm and cosy. It has a handful of tables and a small counter area. The menu is a traditional English mixture of breakfasts, sandwiches, toasties, oatcakes, soups, salads, baked potatoes, afternoon teas and a range of hot drinks. All this is homemade and served on lovely traditional china. It has a lovely warm friendly atmosphere and we will definitely be returning.

Called in today for a nice lunch, but very dark and uninviting, could it be closed ? Once we were inside we were informed that only coffee was available, no food whatsoever. Having looked at Facebook reviews this place looked great but it turned out to be a waste of a journey so we spent our money elsewhere and will not try again. Very disappointing.

Tonight Tim brought us the Pork special in breadcrumbs with veg, a bacon and mushroom risotto ,bolognaise and piquant prawn starters with a delicious creamy rice pudding for afters. All were hot and delicious. What a treat to have a home delivery and be able to enjoy food without the washing up.Highly recommended if you live in or near Ludlow. Thanks to Chef Nick, the lovely Deborah and of course, Tim.

We came for the 12 wines of Christmas on Saturday and had a great time! Rachel who ran the event was knowledgeable and friendly plus the drinks were obviously great! If it hadn’t cost us as much as the event in taxi fees we would be there regularly! Can’t wait to visit the pub in Audlem next given it’s much closer!
