The best restaurants in Loggerheads and Whitmore Newcastle-under-Lyme West Midlands

We have lived in this area for 15 years and passed the Whitmore Tea Rooms many times. Today we stopped and visited the tearooms for lunch. I was very impressed with the ambience of the place, lovely bone china on the table. The good was absolutely first class and plentiful. A good selection of beverages both alcoholic and non- alcoholic were available. The staff were very friendly and courteous and the bill I thought was very reasonable for what we had for go our lunch. We will definitely be returning soon !

What a little gem in Shropshire and well worth a visit. Don't let the outside put you off, the Inside is a treasure of fine Thai food that is hard to beat and unforgettable.

My first time here after my daughter recommended the place after she had been. Beautiful and quirky private room with a warm welcome. Menu was interesting with lots to choose from including a lot of game. Starters were out of this world!! Salt and chilli beef strips - absolutely the best thing I have tasted! Honey sausages - beautiful, squid - not my cup of tea but reported to be spot on and everyone enjoyed their starters. Mains again didn’t disappoint. Everyone joked that the fish and chips was the size of a whale! Green curry was the best they had ever had. Steak was beautiful. My main was the burger with smoked cheese. Delicious chutney and chips were delicious. We can’t comment on the puddings as we couldn’t eat another thing!! The staff were so welcoming and kind and I am beyond impressed and will most definitely come back again. Nothing was too much trouble for them and service with a smile. Thank you to everyone. Lovely restaurant with super staff. Excellent meal. Absolutely the best curry that I have ever had. Popadoms and dips very fresh. Delicious Chicken Tikka Korai with pilau rice and garlic naan. Extremely good value for money with wine very reasonably priced. Shall definitely return.

Fantastic food, atmosphere & service. Good prices & beer choices, really enjoyed our visit. We have a medium and spicy dish and both didn’t disappoint. Possibly the best Thai food I’ve ever had.

Absolutely lovely food, (with enough spare for a portion for someone tomorrow), a five star hygiene rating and friendly staff. What is not to love. Thank you for the little bag of chips “to munch” on the way home - what a lovely idea. Mandalay also does Chinese, pizza and fish and chips so perfect for a family who want different things.

Easy to book. Nicely appointed interior. Warm friendly staff and such a tasty meal prepared with some imagination. We hadn't expected such a great experience tbh so thanks. My steak was superb.

Amazing food and great service from poppy

Always choose the Swan with two Necks when we celebrate. The whole team go out of there way to treat you as a special customer.

This is our favourite place for coffee and cakes. Emma's cakes are the best and there is always a great selection. The coffee is also excellent with Emma ensuring all of the staff are trained in using the barista machine to perfection. It can be busy at peak time so best to book. Dogs are always very welcome.

Wow this place is not only beautiful it the food is amazing. I believe it has had quite a refurb and the owners have done an amazing job. Staff were so friendly and accommodating, I would highly recommend here to any families or couples

Fantastic small plates meal whilst listening to a fabulous acoustic singer. What a lovely night. Can’t wait to come back again! Such a cozy pub.
