One of my favourite places to go for date night or special occasion meal. Excellent Sunday dinner traditional with a twist and something on the menu to please everyone. I love the zombie cocktail 😍 Battered Haddock beautiful Cow and pig burger Another great meal today spot on and thankyou for the extra pea puree love my greens Only empty plates to photo sorry 🤣

The food came very quickly and tasted amazing. Our server Poppy was so lovely and catered all our needs. She was very polite and nothing was too much for her. Thank you Poppy!

Yet another brilliant Paragon restaurant and bar.As you can guess by the name this is one for the meat lovers. Bar and restaurant are to the usual high standard of Paragon premises. Staff friendly and the food was served quickly and extremely delicious. Plenty of parking and the outdoor seating looked good will come back in the summer

The interior of the restaurant and the atmosphere is spot on! Unfortunately the food was not great for my visit. I had a beef brisket which was tasteless and my friend also tried some who stated the same. Due to it being so busy the staff were slightly difficult to get their attention to raise this so that was the reason for the scoring.

The new menu is great, lots to choose from. Always such lovely attentive staff and the food is always lovely and great quality!

A quiet Tuesday night in January (hence the 4 stars for atmosphere), there was only about 3 other tables in. The service was good and the food very good as always. We had the Block & Blue burger, the Mex burger, the When in Rome burger, chicken strips and a ceaser salad followed by a Cookie D’Oreo. All very good!

Had an amazing meal which was coupled with the superb service provided by the staff, in particular Trystan who made sure that all needs were catered for and that our meal was an enjoyable experience.

We have been a few times, the food is always fantastic and there is lots to try. There is a great atmosphere. We were served by Niamh, she was lovely, very helpful and attentive.

Steph was amazing throughout our whole stay! Lovely and bubbly and always kept checking in if we needed anything!

Great staff, great service and lovely food

Amazing. Loved it, the food was amazing, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Good music playing but not too loud. The price was fair for what you get and you could taste it in the quality of the food. I would assume that it gets very busy at the weekend but we went on a Wednesday afternoon and still booked just in case. Plenty of parking. 110% recommend.

Very confusing menu! If you like good, wholesome food that’s simple yet flavourful then don’t book here. The Ceasar salad (which I chose as it was the simplest option) was about 10 lettuce leaves, half an egg and some tiny bits of anchovy for £11. They even add a service charge without asking. It’s lovely inside and the staff are very nice, but it’s very overpriced for what you get.

The restaurant is extremely cozy, clean and a very pleasant atmosphere. We booked for 18:30 and were sat at time and promptly. Amy our server asked for our allergens and dietary requirements. Drinks and food service was quick and prompt. Excellent night out 10/10. Many thanks to Amy, she is a credit to the establishment.

This place is flipping lovely, easy to find, decent parking. The decor is great and really adds to the vibe. Food is delicious, and there is a lot of it, reasonably priced and beer is excellent 👌

Being from west wales and having spent the day at Alton towers i dropped in here with my nieces on our way home for dinner. We all enjoyed the food and it sealed our weekend away with good food before going home. Thanks

I recently visited Blockhouse at the Sheet Anchor, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The service was slow and inattentive, despite the restaurant not being overly busy. The food was overpriced for the quality, with portions that felt underwhelming for the price paid. The atmosphere was also lacking—what could have been a cozy, inviting space felt cold and unwelcoming. To top it off, it seemed that the staff weren’t particularly interested in addressing customer concerns, which left a poor impression. I was really hoping for a better experience, but sadly, I wouldn’t recommend it based on this visit.
