We had currently been before during covid, the experience was the worst then we actually walked out, we gave it the benefit of doubt as the staff said the main chief was of ill. Back to tonight, I ordered chicken tika massalla, the chicken was dry and without flavour, the massalla sauce was so sweet and packing the true massalla flavours ( awful). Then my husband had Lamb tika Madras, this was as tough as old boots, basically they've thrown the lamb in the same massalla sauce as the chicken , awful, the madras was none existent just the same dros as dished up with the chicken. No spice in the sauce or flavour to the big lumps of tough lamb. I won't waste my time explaining about the half cooked Nam bread. Cold re heated chips. Enough said, if we had been served this in the restaurant and not had a take away we would have left without paying. Rant over.

I come here every time I fly home. Never disappoints, always fresh and tastes amazing. There was a new server, he was in training, I didn’t take his name but he had an Irish accent. Very helpful and attentive. I ordered Edamame Beans for the first time to try, and chilli mushrooms, we loved them. Also Chicken Raisukaree. My only issue is the door is very draughty if someone opens it too far and it stays open, It’s uncomfortable to sit with a draught, so I always ask away from the door.

Went here on a recommendation and was disappointed tbh. I was expecting afternoon tea and loved the idea of a Halloween theme. Plenty of cake, great presentation and friendly staff albeit we were hovered over throughout our visit which was off putting. Car park was so busy it was hard to park and afternoon tea did not include a pot of tea! In summary, over priced and whilst the food was nice, it was basic and we felt like we were being rushed out from the moment we arrived. Sorry to leave a negative review, it’s a lovely setting and could easily be a much better experience.

Was with a group and had prearranged a meal for 14 prior to watching a show Place very busy I had ordered the pork in cider sauce along with 2 others Dishes that were served were lukewarm and had to be returned The best part fir me is normally the crackling part of the belly pork all 3 portions were without the crackling part Very disjointed service Mediocre at best

Well I don't quite know where to start !! Disappointed and angry doesn't really cut it..... My mum had arranged for us to go to the Bay Horse Pub this afternoon for afternoon tea as it's my birthday tomorrow, I've never been so disgusted, we've been to a few different places for afternoon tea at roughly the same price, 15pp so you sort of know what to expect, but this was shocking it was so bad. They brought out our pot of tea and then we had to wait first of all for 20 minutes until they brought out the food. They shouldn't of bothered!!! The silver tray was rubbish,no napkins or dollies etc..underneath the food and a dust/cobweb/dead spider hanging from it. To look at the food in no way was it pleasing on the eye, there was no " ooh this looks nice, there's lots of choice" it didnt make you look forward to eating it, I was gutted when i first saw it. They brought out the tray and we thought it was for one and they were going to bring another, but no,that's meant to be for two !!! It was so sparce.. 3 fingers sandwiches each, shocking, the bread was doughy where you know its been frozen then defrosted, horrible, The salmon sandwich was cheap, totally different colour salmon around the outside of it, hard and crusty, vile, so none of the awful sandwiches were eaten. The middle tier was even worse !! There was a mini quiche, that had been warmed either in micro or some other contraption, but the fact that a mini quiche was cut in half so half each is terrible !!! A soggy, cheap sausage roll that had been heated up, greasy, horrible, again, nothing on this tray was home-made, all shop bought. The top tier where all the goodies go , well I don't quite know what to say about that. I've never seen such poor desserts on an afternoon tea tray before. A shop bought, small scone, hard, full of bicarb, with a shop bought tub of cream and little pot of jam. ( the jam was the only descent thing) and a shocking small piece of shop bought victoria sponge !!! That was it !!! I spoke to the lady owner and aired my concerns about the cost for this and disappointment at it to be told " We've never had complaints before as that's what we always serve " Really !!!! I somehow doubt that. So she then offered us a pub dessert after if we wanted it, free, ummmm..... My mums a diabetic so she had to eat something as she was feeling a bit off, so she nibbled half the sausage roll, ate 1 piece of the naff quiche, and half of the measly slice of victoria sponge, but that was it, I couldn't touch it, I didn't want too, I was so angry. Angry that my mum was expted to pay £30 for that, angry that I had to send her to the car really upset as she thought I'd be upset as it was for my birthday. So once mum had gone I went and had another word with the lady owner, I told her it wasn't acceptable and how bad the food was, along with the presentation of it. To be asked if we still wanted the free desserts !!!!!! Bloody No !!! So mum ended up still having to pay £15 pound as she nibbled them couple if bits, disgraceful. It felt like they weren't interested as they had paying customers their buying meals, spending more money, so a stupid afternoon tea really didn't matter. So we've came home, mums still upset, I'm still angry 😡😡 we certainly will never go there again , I don't recommend for afternoon tea at all, don't waste your money !!!!!! 😡😡
