The best restaurants in St Thomas's Dudley West Midlands

I have been going to this Fish and Chip shop since I was in year 7 and it is still the BEST TO THIS DAY. Everyone I knew were very upset because a bus ran into this shop and its amazing that they have managed to rebuild very quickly and be able to serve as soon as they could. If you are looking for a good ol' fashioned orange battered fish and chips, this is the place to get it. It is amazing, the portion isn't bad either.

I was following the apps time and went to collect my food when it said nearly arrived. Only to find the delivery driver walking around the hospital trying to locate me. All totally unavoidable if the app was more accurate on times it says..

Come here for the 5th time Saturday around 430pm just me and my daughter with additional needs. She was having a bad day and we had to be relocated once which I always get anxious about asking for and causing inconvenience. I can’t remember the waitresses name but she sat us by the window had blonde/ brown hair. She was amazing, so helpful with everything, as a mum who struggles often in restaurants it’s rare to find someone with the patience and understanding. My daughter is obsessed with the robots, part of her autism is fixation and the time we sat down she shouted about 40 times for the cat robot and the waitress ( sorry I don’t remember your name ) sent the cat to our table and honestly you saved my sanity and probably everyone else around my table lol! Then sending the robot back over with our food you really made her day, plus the help with the ice cream and understanding what she wanted when so many people struggle to grasp what she is communicating. She was over the moon she got to do it by herself and it was nice as a mom to actually see someone take time to understand and communicate it was honestly so so amazing to see. We live over 100 miles away and when we stay down Birmingham to visit family we stay around Coventry road but this Bella Italia has always stuck out to us for the food ( of course that’s amazing and fresh to) But mostly for the superb, kind, patient staff you have, the girl who served us honestly deserves some serious recognition, I’ve left restaurants in tears before because of how we’ve been treated pushed aside and even had staff stare at my daughter but this one in particular couldn’t be more opposite! Thank you again for the amazing experience we can’t wait to visit again hopefully when we visit Birmingham again in May!

I've used this takeaway for 40 years and never had a problem. Closed on Mondays except bank hols.

Horrible food, horrible service requested cutlery didn't even give that and did not give a straw with my drink very disappointed.

Always a favourite local Indian takeaway. Consistently on time with delivery, always polite and food piping hot both times I've recently ordered. Tropical Chicken was delicious! Highly recommend and will use again.

Went here recently for a meal with friends. It's a nice enough pub with ample parking although we walked on this occasion. I was disappointed that although Greene King are the brewers of Abbot Ale, they did not have this available at the bar....why not? Wetherspoons maybe get it all? It's not as good as it used to be, like a lot of beers, but Wetherspoons usually have it so it's strange that it wasn't available at a Greene King pub. There was a selection of the usual overpriced lagers, but I decided on a bottled beer. The pub had got 2 glasses of prosecco for £6, I'm not really convinced this was good value. The girl at the bar was not very accurate with the 125ml...i.e. a bit short! The meals were ok and the service was good. Meals are pretty similar to other pubs in the area belonging to large brewers such as Marstons and M&B. Pretty tasty, but hardly generous portions. Overall it was ok, but why can Wetherspoons undercut these larger chain pubs when surely it should be the other way round?

Constant banging noise all night from the outdated sash windows meant I was unable to sleep as it sounded like someone was banging on the window constantly. Would not stay again.

Had breakfast, the service was excellent I notice him check the cutlery before bringing it to the table, attention to detail, the food well cooked and presented. Value for money. Great place would definitely recommend 5 stars

The steak was beautiful cooked to perfection best food I've had in a while. Presented and served perfect amount. Top marks to the chef, my partner enjoyed his ribs aswell.

Absolutely unreal pizza!! Don't read negative reviews just try a pizza there are better than anything else out there in my opinion. Will definitely be back 👌

Disappointing Experience – Burnt Pizza & Bad Service I had high hopes for this place, but I was really disappointed. The pizza was completely burnt, making it almost inedible. On top of that, the customer service was terrible—staff were rude and unhelpful when I raised the issue. I expected much better for the price. Definitely won’t be ordering again!
