The Station Hotel & Banqueting in Dudley

Value for money hotel. I was in Dudley for a conference and I didn't spend too much time in the room but I was pleased with what I got. Clean room, warm and friendly receptionist. If you're looking for something super comfortable this probably isn't the place for you.

Well what can I say we arrived at the hotel and spoke to the man at reception checked got our keys however there was an early feeling in there also there was a paranormal team there searching out the noises that are happening in the building...there was no bar no restaurant open.. Absolute false advertising.shame on you.

They always look after us when we visit.Lots of us are deaf and the staff ensure we are safe and look after us excellently.The team are like a family -happy staff- happy hotel. Its so clean and well looked after it is a home from home very comfy. I cannot praise the staff enough.

Hotel staff are friendly by no choice...privacy is non existent - gossip alot behind customers backs - staff are not used to multi-cultural communities so be aware... Asked for room service from Daniel at reception (as room service is not routine...). Room service is not credible here. Changed bed sheets and had to ask for hoover doing 3 hours after asking prior, cleaners gone home and had to request room service again! Happened on more than one occasion with the same guy on reception. Also Daniel stole a game I had in the room for my child. Pathetic human being. Top points - Area is nice as you have dudley zoo view from windows. Rooms nice & spacious, as long as you keep them clean and tidy yourself. Self contained rooms with kitchen and toilet. Bad points - certain reception staff are rude and condescending, some even reluctant to communicate. Disrespect of staff clearly visible by how they treat you and others differently. Room service no good

Beautiful place..lovely staff..

We are a big family and didn’t want to have room cars apart so they ensured we had interconnecting rooms, upon arriving at the hotel the receptionist jack was lovely he made conversation straight away and made us feel so welcome, he went above and beyond with things we needed help with such as the cot he never made it feel like any thing was a problem! The rooms were very clean and big. And our children were happy they could see the animals from the window. Staff and other guests were lovely at the bar too. You will be seeing us again very soon

Partner and I stayed for 2 nights We both enjoyed our stay ,the rooms and hotel are very well kept ,there is a games room with pool tables ,which are free to use . bar and resteraunt onsite were very nice and served very nice food and cocktails . The owner made us feel very welcome and staff were very friendly . We will definitely go back and stay again despite the 3 and a half hour drive from Kent Thankyou

My son (21st birthday) and I stayed in room 214 and it was brilliant ,he chose the location because of the hauntings an really wanted to experience it , we had the best time and staff were absolutely lovely especially the lady at reception (didn't get a name unfortunately) , we're definitely going to be back for room 217

Really Pleased with our stay at the Station Hotel based in Dudley as always , We love this place! Staff are always really freindly and helpful. We've stayed in both room 217 and 214 on a few occasions and both were clean and well presented. If your looking to stay here then this is a great hotel i wouid recommend! Also if your paranormal freaks like myself and team then these two rooms ive mentioned are disgustingly Haunted with Room 214 more so out of the 2, thankyou for a great stay as always

Very clean and friendly, good prices for the rooms of which ours had a little hob as well as a micro wave and fridge so possible to cook your own food if necessary.Only negative is I didn't see a ghost, better luck next time.

Very characterful classic hotel in a great part of the world.

Great potential let down by major issues. Lovely size room, clean smelling hotel, and a great kitchenette. Unfortunately, the extreme heat meant we couldn't sleep properly. We turned off the radiator, opened both windows as far as possible, and even opened the door for a while. Though it was -1C outside the large hot pipes in the room kept it too warm all night. The fake double didn't help either, there really is enough space for a full size double. All rooms should also have a hairdryer. The restaurant next door is also a huge negative. The staff smoke in the entryway and swear around children. Perhaps instead of sitting around they should spend more time cleaning the tables. Since it took 5 staff members 40 minutes to get an ice cream sundae we didn't even bother buying breakfast there. Overall for £100 for a room and no breakfast I'd expect better.

This place is a DUMP!!! No hot water over the weekend and no discount. Rooms are dirty as is the whole hotel. Don’t stay here.

Short stay. Was ok everything needed in room. Bar was quiet but still a decent atmosphere. Must admit dark fruit cider was flat which is why I went to cocktails which were nice. Let down with breakfast. Got to reception to find out your ment to order the night before although it was the same lady on reception that had checked us in, this information wasn't given to us 🤷🏾‍♀️ trip to McDonald's it was.... not good

Great place to stay. The food is good to. Only a short walk across the road to dudley zoo. And the black country museum is only five minutes away.

Love this place, love the 'tastefully' done Peaky Blinders theme the rooms have a cooker fridge microwave and a lovely bathroom. I WILL BE BACK!!!!

Could do with a hairdryer and would be better checking out at 12 not 11 besides that everything was good

The room wasn't that great but the bar and restaurant was fantastic with the peaky blinders theme, Tony and his wife made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, fantastic with our children, the food was out of this world all home cooked, Tony's staff all friendly and happy, they even waved us off as we left to go home, we will definitely be returning soon.

The beds were comfortable and the room was generally well equipped. I wasn't expecting a small kitchen in the room which was a pleasant surprise. However, my guest and I both had to wash from the sink as the shower had zero pressure when the temperature was turned up. The water literally dribbled out.

First the hotel and restaurant are separately run. Hotel room was great with interesting extras. My room had a toaster and a multi-oven/grill. Plates cups frying pan and fridge so you could self cater! The staff in both places were very nice. The restaurant was peeky-blinders themed, food well cooked and good value, decent range of choices . The real surprise was both the real ales on tap were very well kept and served. Very tasty. Looking forward to going okay I went back it was brilliant I will return

I hate having to give a Bad review but apart from it's location this place was awful. Stayed in room 114, the dribbling water took 14 minutes 58 seconds to warm up both times I showered and when it was mentioned to staff they gave absolutely no ***ks infact the lady suggested that me taking the filter off should assist with the pressure and heat???!!! The rooms were clean but that is the only good thing I will say about this place.

Couldn't fault it, clean and efficient, perfect for a working week just to lay your head, especially if alone as single room is more like a bedsit with proper kitchen sink, work surfaces and cooking facilities, also take advantage of 3 communal washing machines ! It really is a decent little bedsit type room - if you insist on finding a fault...then I'd go maybe better windows required for what traffic you do hear (on a main road in Dudley), but even that's not overly distracting - all in all, a very acceptable place to stay

The bar/pub area looked fun, the check in area looked nice, staircases were pretty but the rooms....omg the rooms...so, we paid for an apartment suite but there was no lounge area, no communal sofa's, just a table and chairs squeezed into a small kitchen area in which the 2 oven tops took 25 minutes to cook an egg. The sink for the bathroom was in the hallway, not in the bathroom itself, literally in the hallway. The furniture was cheap, the stools in the rooms...yes stools, looked like they weren't strong enough to hold the weight of a toddler never mind an adult, the mattresses were hard as rock and we all complained about having no sleep and bad backs the next morning. The TV's were apparently new and weren't connected to the wifi and didn't have freeview, even the employee didn't know what to do when we asked for help. The rooms were absolutely freezing and the radiators were tiny, no where near big or strong enough to heat the rooms. The suites themselves need some major transformations, seems most effort was plowed into the bar area downstairs. Overall disappointed with the rooms/suites tbh :(

Me and my friend used this hotel overnight stay being a show we were attending. This place is full of history and Peaky being highlighted throughout was amazing and a must to see. The manager and all the staff made us fully welcome to result in a very late evening in there Bar with entertainment etc. We felt as if we were part of a big family joining in with locals etc being a well warm welcome to all. It was great all round and I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel and facilities. Geoff Wells

This is a 'proppa' Black Country pub with the best Peaky Blinders theme inside I have seen! The staff dress up as Peaky's and are really Bostin friendly and willing to have photos taken with anyone who wants one! I had my surprise 70th there, it was totally, purely Bostin. I can recommend this place for almost any event you are looking for, especially if you're a Peaky Blinders fan!!

Bed was too hard. Room was a bit basic. It's on a busy road with no double glazing. I know it's an old building but still. No hairdryer. Probably a good place to visit if you are into Peaky Blinders but it wasn't for us.

The room looked like it had been updated in the past year. Trouble is it was very stark. Brilliant white walls, ceiling, cabinets and bedding and one single, very bright cool white light on the ceiling. No bedside lamps so it was mega bright or nothing. No hot water. There were signs telling us to let it run but there was no hot water. Turning the mixer to the hot position just stopped the water flow. No hair drier. Noisy because the windows are single glazed, old sash windows and te roads are busy. Matress rock hard. On the plus side there's a basic kitchenette with fridge, toaster, kettle hob and a few utensils. The electric shower was good. I would have mentioned the issues to reception but it was deserted at 9.30am when we left. Better options nearby I feel

Lovely Peaky Blinders Theme at the hotel. It has very unique canvases and statues. Worth visiting if you're nearby. The parking is free. You just have to register your number plate when you come in.

Liked the new decor. My stay was short but nice. Sat and had a drink and spoke to the own about the peaky blinders. I would go back.

Unique hotel that has amazing friendly staff. Breakfast in the Peaky blinder restaurant amazing value and cooked very fresh. All main attractions the Zoo and black country museum a few mins walk. Tony the owner great cook and made us feel very welcome. Front of house staff a great midlands welcome and were quick to sort out any tiny issues.

Way too hot food was way too late for a wedding

Absolutly appalling customer services. Cancelled my booking of 6 people staying. Only compensation is that 4 people can stay and what will cost even more. No email/call to even let me know the cancellation had accrued only way I found out was because I had called to pay for the booking. Manager rude and was not willing to compensate from last minute cancellation and even tried to say it’s “not the hotels fault” my booking got cancelled 😡

Awful customer service. Booked a room for an anniversary months in advance. Was told they would add extra touches to the room due to the special occasion. On the day of the booking (after check in time) I called to check the extra touches had been done, was told that our booking has been cancelled. They gave multiple different excuses and couldn’t stick to the same one. Person on the phone then hung up the phone on me.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. An interesting historic building. Extremely lovely and friendly staff.

I have given this location 5 stars. Because I have visited often to eat not resident. But obviously not for 2 yrs (covid) but I made contact again to see if they were open and were things the same. New owners they were very helpful and curteous. And assured me service as usual if my previous experience is anything to go by excellent. I will be checking it out soon.

This place was a pleasure, modern but also steeped in history of the stars that used to perform at the hipperdrome across the road. The peaky blinders theme in the office bar was a nice touch as well. The rooms were clean and modern, complete with fridge, small cooker and microwave. The bed was very comfortable and a good night's sleep was welcomed after a hard day. Would recommend.

Nice hotel, I've heard its haunted ?

My overall experience was great, I was there for a wedding. The staff are friendly and helpful, the room was nice for its price, the shower was warm and bathroom was clean and tidy, breakfast was one of the best I have had in a hotel. The car park is big and bar is open til late. Would reccomend for a quiet evening out.

One night stay here our first for a couple of years. The hotel has been refurbished to a decent standard with rooms having a little kitchenette fitted. The staff seem pleasant enough although didn't see that much of them. We had a decent nights sleep but, the hotel is situated on a main road with major roadworks going on at the moment so, some except some noise if your room is situated at the front of the hotel.

First time I've been since re furbishment and new owners. Great room (single) with a decent kitchenette with hot plate, fridge and microwave etc. Good newly fitted bathroom. All clean. I'm not connected to the owners but when places are good I say so.

Had a table booked on a sunday, staff where friendly although service at the bar was very slow as one staff member behind the bar with a fair few customers! Also only able to have a carvary on a sunday even for childern (idea for non fussy eaters) I think this should be mentioned on booking. However food was nice.

Stayed in the haunted rooms for my daughter’s 18th amazing!! had a evening meal In The bar excellent food and service then went to the games room and played pool before returning to our rooms which are lovely clean and tidy down for breakfast which we were a little late for but the owner and staff couldn’t do enough for us such great service and the most friendly of people made to feel very welcome indeed

Stayed here for my 40th Birthday it was fantastic. Clean, friendly staff and couldn’t be more helpful. Free gym and games room if your at a loose end. Situated in a great area zoo , castle across the road, living museum just up road. Just down road there is a centre with everything you need bars, restaurants, bowling etc. The office bar and banqueting down stairs with a peaky blinder’s theme absolutely lovely and food is amazing. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be going back soon. Thank you so much for making us feel at home and we will see you soon.

We really wanted to stay here and check out one of the famous haunted rooms. We were really disappointed because we were charged well above the standard room charge of £40 and paid £120 for the privilege of staying in room 214. We thought because the price was so high there would be some reference to the famously haunted room/hotel but just got plain white walls with no frills. Breakfast wasn't even included for that price! The room did have a hob cooker and microwave so was well equipped but we weren't there for that. There was so much noise outside from traffic, which of course can't be helped by the hotel but charging triple the price for just a standard room with no frills was bitterly disappointing and purely taking advantage of us in my opinion. Oh and needless to say, there was no spooky going ons what so ever.

We stayed here for a peaky blinders night at near by black country museum. It was literally a 10 minute walk away. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and comfortable. The office bar was also excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Will be going back soon.

Very well equipped room (with hob, microwave and kettle) for a solo traveller. A very interesting grand old building with a pub on the ground floor and other facilities on the upper floors. A very quiet, restful stay.

When I arrived early I was taken straight toy room the staff are pleasant helpful and refreshing, the room was amazing with a double bed, the kitchen had all eating utensils, microwave, hob cooking utensils, fridge, toaster, kettle and everything to make tea coffee and hot chocolate, the bathroom was well equipped with all needed, I am more than happy with the station hotel and banqueting, I will be staying here regularly I give it 5 stars personally.

Cheap. So for a fair price you only can expect fair facilities. Shower was not the best, tv had no signal, room was bit smelly. You get what you pay for to be honest. We only paid £45/night which is really cheap . This price included the usage of their gym which I didn't use. The room had microwave, hob to warm food up or to cook, cutleries, plenty biscuits, tea, coffee, hot chocolate. So all overall for the price we paid for it was ok with its flaws.

The rooms are lovely layout with brilliant amenities, however they have a heating problem and our rooms were freezing and at one point didn't have hot showering water. Had to have a sink wash the whole time I was there and that's not great for females at a particular time😞. It was a real shame they didn't sort this out during our stay as apart from that, it's a lovely lovely hotel. Clean worth extremely friendly staff and reasonable bar prices. Would stay again only if their plumbing was totally sorted.

This hotel is absolutely stunning . Love that they’ve kept the old features but modernised the guest rooms beautifully . Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming such an amazing atmosphere from the moment you enter. after years of hearing about this place I finally booked a room with my friend and so glad i did. will be returning many times in the future . Experienced some ghost activity which is why I booked a room and talking to some of the staff they’ve experienced similar things. the whole experience was amazing! . Food at the office bar was delicious aswell . Throat hurts from so much laughing and talking with staff and other guests . Highly recommend :) Thankyou for an amazing break ! Keep up the good work !

I stayed for three nights and everything was really nice very friendly staff. Clean love the fact it has a kitchen in the room. Be back next week for work and so on love the peaky blinders theme bar really lot of time and effort gone in to it.

Not worth at all the stay no help no proper facilities loud and staff not helpful at all. The hotel is not very nice. First and last the place is a hoax and its atmosphere ambience HAUNTED.
