Costa Coffee in Dudley

Clearly the older lady behind the counter did not want me to serve me or for me to stay - entered the shop at 1630 hoping to get a cheese toastie and coffee before my class at 5pm. I was told I couldn't have one of the 2 remaining mozzarella melts as she had to turn the grill off to 'deep clean' it at 1630 - the only savoury thing left was a meat sandwich and I'm vegetarian - there was nobody in the shop customer wise and 2 younger girls none of them were busy doing 'deep cleaning' so I am now sat in an independent eatery having said cheese toastie and a drink before my class at 5pm, which is cheaper and nice food - so cheers lady in Costa who doesn't want customers to eat in - may I suggest you change your closing time to 1630

Elegante and great place for a relaxed hot chocolate drink. The smell of the entire shop is priceless

I walked in the store and ordered a large latte to the counter and the billing staff was good with me after the billing. I was waiting for my coffee. One of the staff (Lisa) placed that coffee on the service counter without any greeting. When I picked the coffee, I saw an opened big jar of chocolate powder on the service counter, which was for customers' use. I wanted to add a spoon of that chocolate powder in my coffee, As I reached my hand to the jar, Lesa (Staff of costa coffee) quickly covered the jar with her hand and said, "This is only for hot chocolate." (Even at that time, she didn't use polite language.) I felt blank at that moment. I said, "Okay, it’s for hot chocolate," and then I walked away. That situation was very embarrassing for me in front of other customers. I didn't even go to work. She ruined my day. Time and Date : 12Feb2025 Aprox 01:43pm

Excellent we go every week on a Thursday it’s always a pleasure staff are extremely willing and helpful my dad who is 84 looks forward to our visit every week Thanku for making us feel so welcome

All the Costas near where I travelled from (Manchester) are dog friendly. This one is the complete opposite. Which is a shame as I chose Costa for the familiarity after a long journey. I managed to walk the distance from the door to the counter, Pick 2 sandwich’s, place my order, pay AND find a seat before coming back for my drinks and pretty much being shouted at that “you can’t bring dogs in here” in the middle of the store. A good while after entering with my dog who’s well trained. The store should communicate this on the door and the staff had the chance to tell me at multiple chances. I was offered to sit outside, and that I was still welcome to take my food away or have a refund. I took the refund and After this experience no Costa anywhere will be seeing a penny from me. Don’t be a chain if everything isn’t consistent.

Not too noisy today, service was decent.

Popped in to an empty Costa at 7am with a well trained dog for takeaway coffee. Every costa so far we have had no issues. "Up to the managers discretion and we don't allow dogs" Wife grabbed the coffee and it was bad.

Bad service, they treated me and my daughter rude today because we had a puppy in a pram. We only wanted to order and go but they threw us outside, and it’s minus temperature today.. and then we only get half cup of coffee do almost £5. So rude .. :( No information on the entrance that it is not a pet friendly place…

I walked in and ordered a hot chocolate. Finished it, and came back a few minutes later. After resting for a while, a lady walked up to me and said, "Are you buying? If you are not buying, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave." I left immediately and probably never coming back. This is not the kind of hostility I expect from a Costa cofee, but then, it may be person dependent.

Popped in on Friday and it was as if the place was being run by children. The staff were trying to wipe things of their hands onto each others faces while shouting, "that's disgusting". I'm not sure what it was but beings as they were coming from the back room, where I assume food is prepared, I'm very happy I only had a coffee. Will not return!

While admittedly i like to make my own coffee and watch the tv in my own time, i sometimes like to go out. Maybe not everyday because alas this is the uk.. and weather is not our forte. This place isnt my first choice despite some early promise. It doesnt feel cosy or upbeat. Maybe superior to some drive throughs though. I also would add starbucks and smaller places are usually better all rounders if not maybe cheaper.

Came in today for a coffee after my nail appointment with my little brother. He is five and was desperate for the toilet therefore i asked the woman if i could get the code for the toilet as the little one needed it and said that i would be buying a drink after he had been. They refused to give me the code for the toilet for a child despite me buying drinks and food after! I think it is ridiculous that you refuse a child needing the toilet! Also the staff seemed rude and like they couldn’t be bothered.

We had amazing cuppa when we visited. Service was amazing. Food was hot and my chai latte was made perfect. We will 100% go again.

Costa, Churchill centre Dudley, never again,the manager has an attitude problem, he would only let me have one milk, the only Costa I've been to where you are limited to milk.

the heat of the coffee could be a little hotter as its been lukwarm a couple of times now but aparts from that its spot on couldnt fault it

I went with my support worker to try one of the Christmas specialities and chose the Gingerbread Latte (with cream).

4 staff on all chatting. No interest in customers. Everything seemed such an effort too busy talking about their night out or where they were going. Too many staff on in the morning. When I asked where sugar was for My guest. Just gotta attitude err there! Not good enough

as someone who goes here weekly this is store is going down hill, it seems like one of the female employees doesn’t know what she’s doing and is also rude about

Great to see the winter range of special drinks back at Costa. Dudley is a nice branch with quite a bit of space, clean, atmospheric and always very good coffee. Particularly good service today from Zoe.

Practically an empty wrap for £5.00 which is also more expensive than the surrounding branches.

I come here very often as a local student, often served very nicely, i’ve had the pleasure to meet probably all of the staff here. The majority - faultless - nothing to complain about. Food is nice, drinks are nice and generally enjoyable atmosphere. All but one, assuming the manager. I’ve been reading some reviews and a fair few of them are about her. Not a very good attitude towards customers. Just generally quite rude and gave me a telling off as if she was my superior. Not happy, i’ve given the same review before on a surgery a year back - nothings really changed.. Thanks to Zoe and Manda though for always serving with a smile and being so polite ☺️ appreciate it!

It was okay but i realised that you can only use the toilet if you purchase something as the toilet door has a code on and the only way you can get the code is on the receipt. I think this is absolutely unacceptable as it’s taking away a basic human right to use a toilet. Have contacted higher authority’s however and said it will be dealt with. Horrible thing to do, putting a code on a toilet.

Been a costa customer since 80s. Never been made feel so awkward. I was with a colleague and a friend. There was a long queue at the till so we decided to sit until the people in the queue was served so we sat down. A staff (possibly the manager) approached and said "you can only sit here if you buy something" it's not what she said, it's how she said and approached us. There were others sitting there without any food or drinks on the table but we were the only ones approached and we were the only COLOURED PEOPLE there so. I do understand sometimes you can be made to feel differently if you look differently but I thought that times got better. It was clearly a slap with a smile and technically she was just doing her job. Thank you Costa, never walking in again

I regularly visit Costa particfularly the Dudley branch. Everytime I visit I am always met by friendly staff and a nice environment to relax in. However today has been an exception to my norm where I was met by an extremely rude member of staff with an appalling attitude. He was a young lad with curly hair and did not show any care for anyone in the store. Hopefully on my next visit I receive the great service I am use to receiving and know this team usually deliver.

Enjoyed my caramel latta and sitting down in the comfortable sofa.

Clean, comfortable and spacious. Not many choices of sandwiches. About 3 table were occupied, it was Wednesday noon, a mom and 2 kids were ahead of me in the queue. Asked for a large iced oat latte. It came hot, so told the lady I asked for ice latte in a takeaway cup, she checked the receipt and turned away from me without saying anything. Saw she made a new one, this time she was mumbling about oat milk. So I reckoned she made with cow milk earlier. She gave me in a takeaway cup, again hot not ice. Told her again she was just u didnt say ice, nothing say ice on the receipt. Oh well…just have a day off already.

Nice decor compared to other costas. Large floor plan, friendly lady who took our order. Although massively let down by state of toilet- had to queue with young children . Only one unisex toilet for such a big coffee shop? I understand they have to restrict use by getting customers to use a code to access toilet. But this is impractical when you are with your kids? Toilet facilities dirty, and leaking toilet. Surely Costa such provide better facilities for the prices they charge?

Cake was very dry around the edges. Staff rude talking while serving took 10 minutes to make iced coffee due to them chatting. Always thought customer service came first.

I always love coming in costa for my breakfast. My favourite staff member is Zoe. She's so lovely and very quick at everything. Always a pleasure to see her. Love all the other staff too. My favourite Costa by far!!!

Wrong companies food was delivered totally wrong items store didn’t care driver said not his problem

Ordered for delivery wrong order from wrong company arrived Called store was met with a rude manager who said it’s not our problem we just leave the food on a table for the drivers to collect. Not sure how there safe given all the issues with allergies and food tampering

It's a very nice place and brilliant seating area. Food is standard what you get in every Costa store. Most of the staff members are busy with their work but otherwise if u want a quiet place to come and sit down and do your work and perhaps get a coffee as brain booster then yeah it's a good place to come

Costa in the centre of Dudley but don't think anything but quality coffee, quality service. Staff were friendly and the coffe was as you would expect, really nice. Defenatly be going back next time in Dudley.

Excellent range of hot and cold drinks, coffee and latte, and delicious food. Busy at times but I've never been disappointed with the service.

Absolutely brilliant staff in this Costa. Visited with 7 young people with learning and life disabilities and they couldn't have been more friendly and more helpful. Best service in a Costa I have ever recieved...we will definitely be returning.

I would like to send a special thanks to an amazing, polite and patient customer service Amanda; she was patient to answer all my questions as this was the first time I visit main Costa shop. One of the team does not have any patience to give a good direction or answerd to a new customer. Unfortunately, I drink my Latte coffee without my chocolate powder, they suppose to put the chocolate shaker next to the sugar.

Staff are always friendly and helpful! They get your order to you relatively fast (wait times are a little longer if they are busy but that's a given), tables are lovely and clean and it's always nice and warm inside in the winter and cool in the summer. 😊

Food that arrived was lovely, tea was good, but just checked my order as I was sure I had ordered a cake for my supper, when I finished shift very shortly and I did but one wasn’t delivered it was a mince pie £2.85

They are racist and have been racist to me everytime i come here with anyone brown and they told me i can’t eat anyone else’s food here even when someone else bought food from costa.

The best costa and the cleanest and friendliest

Terrible. Ordered £27 worth of things and received a breakfast deal in a small bag. How could you not tell the difference between a large order and a small order just by the size? Can’t contact the restaurant. Hope whoever’s had a large order has enjoyed it because I won’t be refunded for it.
