Sofi's Cafe in Dudley

I have been going to this Fish and Chip shop since I was in year 7 and it is still the BEST TO THIS DAY. Everyone I knew were very upset because a bus ran into this shop and its amazing that they have managed to rebuild very quickly and be able to serve as soon as they could. If you are looking for a good ol' fashioned orange battered fish and chips, this is the place to get it. It is amazing, the portion isn't bad either.

Came here last year and LOVED the battered chips. I have been dreaming of them since 🥴🥴. Came to Sofi’s with my kids in their double stroller and even though I wasn’t able to get the stroller through the door. I was still able to be serviced from the outside. Food tasted better than in my dreams! We love you guys!!!!!

Taken to Lunch by an elderly friend here. We both really enjoyed the food, pipping hot excellent service unlike others in the area. We felt welcome and taken care of.

Ordered breakfast, quick service with friendly staff. Reasonable price.nice to call in after shopping.

Wasn't exactly the cafe but the chippy next door but couldn't find that on here. Service brilliant, food great (halloumi, chips and salad) and definitely a revisit next time in Dudley.

Excellent fish and chips, give your taste buds a treat, you won't be disappointed, best chips around for miles.

Had large mixed kebab meat and chips paid £6.50... for the amount I got is not worth it was nice tho

Had chips from the chip shop. As always excellent. So glad they are back in business. Please visit when in town. You won't regret it.

Possibly the best Chippy in Dudley. The chips from here are amazingly good. Very big portions compared to other chippies. Very friendly staff who always greet you with a smile. Would highly recommend if you're ever in Dudley or fancy trying a new place.

Absolutely disappointing that I have to say this... I love this chippy as the food is amazing and the staff are lovely but once again for the 5th time I have had food poisoning after going here... I wouldnt recommend getting chips from here as that is the main problem...

Large Cod keeps decreasing in size, chips are too greasy.. The man he's so grumpy.

Best chips I've ever had in a cafe/ chip shop. Fish was crispy and flakey. The ladies who servered were lovely. Great cup of tea too

I always buy mixed kebab from here, the meat taste good sometimes and absolutely horrible other times, there is visibile poor hygiene due to how they store the food and most of all the staff behavior... I've seen the manager touching his nose with his finger o outing in inappropriate place and then going straight to the Preparation of the food... Also they don't put care and love in what they do, the wrap is alway very very rough... The onions and the tomatoes are not chopped properly and they are never spread properly but they in one bite of the wrap. Same thing with the sauce, don't expect your sauce evenly spreaded, it will be all in one place,... So everytime i get the wrap before eating it I open it and rearrange it properly, this sounds a bit unacceptable as I am paying for it.

Food is always great from here. Quick service and very tasty

We're sure we got food poisoning off theese, it's the only thing we ate and all been sick a day after !!

I had some Chips which made Me feel ill for 2 Days from here!, also the Man is a bit Grumpy although the Lady was Friendly & Personable!.

Best chippy in Dudley. Clean, good food and nice staff. Its not open late and can get very busy at times but good things are worth the wait.

Had fish & chips here 9pm 30.12.17 chips cold, curry sauce cold, sausage cold fish ok .... very disappointed, only drove less than 1/4 mile (the ruins) to eat them so not as if they’d had time to go cold!!!

Brought fish a chips with curry sauce, got back home and my pet gold fish was bigger than my fish, the chips are pukka, curry sauce I can spit more.

I've always liked the place until what I saw recently. The owner was serving chips and he RUBS the paper which he was going to place the chips on, on his clearly dirty shirt. Why?

My Dad always use to take my Mom to this chip shop when he visited Dudley. Now I try to take Mom there as well great golden chips with fish you just can't beat it. 5 star for me.

Disappointed. Have always liked this place but recently you are always waiting for the chips to be done. Ordered a mixed kebab meat and chips with salad. Got home and it was just dry donner meat and that salad was brown also had the hard lettuce stalk in it.

Very very good fish and chips. I have had the fish and chips 20 years ago while I was lived in town. After 20 years another visit. Same boss, same warm greeting, Same recipe, same taste, same everything as 20 years ago. Crispy chips with tasty butter wrapped. Soft fish just well cooked.
