The food here is really nice I was passing by because I was visiting my grandmother. I would recommend the rice with chicken and a milkshake
the prices are great and the deserts are so nice if you are passing Stratford road with a empty stomach I would recommend.

A fantastic experience in a very cosy cafe. The food was excellent, the service was excellent and it was surprisingly well priced. Looking forward to visiting again soon
Chutney Indian Restaurant Sutton Coldfield
First time at Chutney’s with three friends and a very good evening it was too. (Formerly called Ariana)
We started at 5.30pm on a Monday evening and had poppadum’s with chutney, followed by vegetable palak, samosa’s and lamb kebabs. The mains included tasty machli salmon, chicken jalfrezi, Rajasthani chicken, an excellent Kukkar Marhani (chicken in yoghurt and tangy honey sauce) & a chicken & chips. With rice and naan bread.
For deserts there were three lovely fantastica (had to wait some minutes whilst they defrosted) and a Ferrero Rocha ice cream. We had a bottle of the house rose wine which has low alcohol content at 5.5% and a coke. The service was good and knowledgeable and the bill for the five of us came to £110.00. They also have a meal deal of £11.95 between Sundays to Thursdays. We finished at 8pm and it is worth noting that we had parked over in the Tesco car park and walked across to the restaurant, and there is 3 hours free parking before your car would be recorded on the cameras. Can’t thank you enough for the cock inn for there hospitality, especially as we traveled from Kent to watch our beloved
Gillingham, what more do you want from a pub that is friendly, cooks you up food for free and what an excellent service if I lived in this town I would appreciate
This pub, staff can’t do enough for you, definitely one off the best pubs I’ve been in, within 20 years of travelling away with my football team! You’re pub is superb and keep up the good work look forward to come back again
Unfortunately unable to sample the food as this business is locked firmly in the 1950's and is cash only.
Drag yourselves into the 21st century and zi'll give it a go
Very disappointing.
We waiting half an hour for the drinks and the food didn’t arrive until almost an hour after we ordered it. The place was empty bar another table so we were confused what was taking so long.
We ordered four toasties, Mac and Cheese, and some pastries. Two of the toasties hadn’t been toasted - so they were just cheese and bacon sandwiches!! We were so hungry at this point that we didn’t bother sending it back, worried it would take another hour before we got the food we ordered. The Mac and Cheese was just some pasta with grated cheese on top (no white sauce used). The pastries were nice enough but nothing wow.
Overall we left dissatisfied and felt like it was £60 not worth spending. Won’t be visiting again.
Excellent Sunday lunch at this pub! Glad we phoned to book as they only had one slot left. Staff very pleasant and welcoming. Dog friendly. Nothing we couldn’t eat, even the roasties were good (and they are always my go to when rating a roast dinner cooked in a restaurant kitchen). The beer was excellent and well kept according to my husband; the red wine came in small bottles which guarantees it’s not going to have been opened a while and have a hint (or more) of turning to sherry, it was good. Having said nothing we couldn’t eat……the roast was so filling we had to give dessert a miss, certainly going back as we’re here for a week, so a smaller meal followed by dessert defo on the cards.
Lovely day shopping in Birmingham with the family only to be spoiled by the terrible attitude of a member of staff, asked for thee glasses of tap water to go with the cappuccino ordered, only to be told to pay 40p per plastic cup!!!! Or if you prefer bring your own cups next time. Face like thunder, obviously having a bad day or in desperate need of a customer service course. If this is the first impression visitors to Birmingham get coming to brum, I pity them
