The Good Place in Birmingham

Very disappointing. We waiting half an hour for the drinks and the food didn’t arrive until almost an hour after we ordered it. The place was empty bar another table so we were confused what was taking so long. We ordered four toasties, Mac and Cheese, and some pastries. Two of the toasties hadn’t been toasted - so they were just cheese and bacon sandwiches!! We were so hungry at this point that we didn’t bother sending it back, worried it would take another hour before we got the food we ordered. The Mac and Cheese was just some pasta with grated cheese on top (no white sauce used). The pastries were nice enough but nothing wow. Overall we left dissatisfied and felt like it was £60 not worth spending. Won’t be visiting again.

I have been visiting here since it opened. Great foot for breakfast, brunch, lunch. Can accommodate any requests. I have just moved work offices to the town centre and I will eat here at least once a week. Fresh delicious food always!

Overpriced & underwhelming. Not much effort or love put into the food. The counter tops are sticky so makes you feel quite icky sitting at them and there’s not much choice to sit else where. Music was too heavy for a dreary Saturday morning when all you’re after is a good brekkie to cure your hangover. At least the weak cappuccino was hot. Might as well stop at the bottom of the road & go into spoons, at least you get what you pay for there.

Great place to pop in to grab something quick. Hot Chocolate and an almond croissant - delicious 😋! Great decor and service. Well worth a visit.

Just visited ‘The Good Place’, food so fresh, with so much choice on the menu, reasonably priced. Left feeling relaxed, such a nice happy vibe. Spotlessly clean and staff very friendly. Nice drinks selection too. Alcohol served too, if fancy a beverage.

This evening I was at a private event here. My first time at the cafe and it will now be one of my regular haunts. Gemma could not have been more welcoming and made everyone feel at home. The food was fresh and tasty with excellent service. The venue itself is homely and warm, perfect on your own, with friends , or for a group event. Very importantly for me, this is a very welcoming and safe space for anyone from the lgbtqia+ community. It is worth taking a few steps off your usual route to visit.

This cafe may have a small footprint but the staff are really friendly and helpful. We arrived just before they were due to close but were served cheerfully and efficiently. Having been warned upfront that there was only oat milk available, we decided to go ahead with our coffees and they were delicious. Can't wait to go back again and try some sandwiches and cakes!

I booked The Good Place as a venue to celebrate an achievement with our company employees. The atmosphere was amazing and Gemma went to so much trouble to make sure everyone had a great time. The buffet was amazing and is still being spoken about in work almost a month later. I would thoroughly recommend The Good Place if you are looking for an intimate and fun venue for a business or personal event.

The most boujee cafe / bar in town. Amazing coffee and the food is sublime. Pick and mix salads to suit everyone’s taste. Freshly made sandwiches and rolls. Breakfast. Lunch. Cocktails. This place has it all. Super friendly staff and awesome art work. 100% recommended.

I absolutely love it in here. I have never felt comfortable eating solo but I really do here. Food is lovely, atmosphere brilliant and the staff absolutely amazing.
