We have a narrowboat on the canal system. It is moored at Stone. Whenever we go though Pembridge we are so pleased as we can visit Jaspers. The cakes and rolls are delicious. I can honestly say that we have never bought any item and been disappointed. The staff are patient and more than willing to please. We cannot wait till the next time....next week I hope. Oh, there is one issue....they do not open on a Sunday!!!! Only kidding, the staff deserve a rest.

I had the meat and potatoe pie, my husband the steak and kidney, I had no meat no meat tasty gravy but no meat. My husband not a lot of meat but tasty. I can’t believe we had meat pies but very little or no meat!!! But egg custard was lovely 😳

We visited today whilst on a trip from Liverpool to a different local business. We asked for somewhere local that he would recommend for a sandwich. All I can say is that it was worth the 10 minute queue to get in. Amazing food, sandwiches, pastries, cakes, bread( all baked daily on site). Went in for a quick takeaway and came home with enough delights to last for days. The lady that served us was amazing and so friendly and could tell that the other staff were the same, despite the huge queue. I googled the business and felt I had to write a review as the 4.5 stars doesn’t do it justice and is only downgraded from 5 stars due to a few Karen’s complaining about having to pay with cash and lack of covid restrictions ( hopefully they feel different now). Keep up the good work Jaspers and we will definitely be back, if anywhere remotely near the area.

popped in for a sandwich and came away with a bag full of things that I didn't know I needed. Excellent choice of freshly baked goods. The ham quiche was soooo good that I wish we lived closer. Recipe page please!

Last there 5 years ago when visiting village. So good I want to eat the whole shop contents. Fair prices and great baking.. Love the place

What sort of business doesn't take card in this day and age? Jasper is definitely on a tax dodge! I'll be using Warren's Bistro from now on.

Popped in for a breakfast butty, which I will add was delicious, but ended up getting lunch and cakes for the rest of the day. Beef salad sandwich baton and an Eccles cake (which should be enjoyed with a piece of cheese!) Freshly prepared to order and everything was tasty!

Have visited this small shop in central Penkridge about 4 times now and found the food always fresh and tasty (though cobs etc come with unseasoned salad to suit all people). It is very popular especially with working people collecting their take away lunch. The service is both very friendly and very efficient with usually 4 ladies behind the counter.

We went to visit the antique shop and wanted some lunch...we saw a queue and looked where and why people were queueing ...And we honestly knew why ,when we went into this gem of a bakery. We just loved the selection,Quality,prices and fast service ,plenty of staff. We had ham salad cobs ,a cake and quiche ,ate it I. The little memorial garden across the road. We the then went back in for crusty loaf and more items to take home 🏡. This really is an excellent bakery not been to one like this for years ,and that was in Helmsley in York . We will be back to jaspers bakery most definitely ....those who are nearby are very lucky and blessed to have such an excellent one at hand. Thank you for our lovely food...so tasty and good prices and all fresh.

WOW. We use Jaspers whenever we pass through Penkridge. The food is really tasty and generous portions. When you enter the shop it is like a scene from Willy Wonka's - scrumptious tasty inviting food everywhere. All of the staff are super friendly. The kids think the food is fantablious. The shops only small, which I get can't be helped, but they have a max occupancy of 4 people, to which I was still asked to enter the shop with 4 already in it as there was a large queue outside (~20 minutes on this day). They also have a sign stating masks are COMPULSORY, but yet one person inside wasn't in a mask which wasn't challenged, and then whilst I was in there 2 walked in without masks as well, to which they were challenged granted, but when they said they didn't have masks, they were still allowed to order, with 6 of us being in the shop at that time. I don't understand what the point is in having these rules posted on the door claiming it's compulsory when it's clearly not, and even when challenged you can still order as normal, I felt anxious and nervous the whole time I was there, and to top it off they didn't put all the food we ordered onto the bag, which we didn't notice until getting home, meaning we didn't even get the food we'd ordered and paid for. Such a shame as I've always enjoyed coming here, but under the pandemic and social distancing guidelines, I cannot deal with another unsafe experience like that.

We used to love coming here, and the food and fresh cakes are lovely but we have stopped coming since COVID-19, I hope the owners are reading and taking note!!!... We popped in and could clearly see the staff were serving people cakes and sandwiches occasionally using the plastic bag to pick up the items but many times using there hands, which we noticed they were then handling money, dirty money! They have never had a card machine, and yes to some cash is king but we are living through a pandemic and the government actually advise the use of card machines, for everyone’s health and safety we wouldn’t even have to put our pin in this day an age it’s just a swipe of the card, come on jaspers get with the times!

Words cant describe how much I love Jaspers! I'm always there for fresh sandwiches and their cakes are to die for! They are just the best! There is always a queue outside, so just goes to show you how popular it is.

I pop to Jaspers on my lunch break regularly and work 7 miles away. It’s worth every inch of the journey. Their sandwiches are the highlight of my year. The king of all bakeries.

This place is amazing, everything is freshly baked and delicious. Belgium Buns to die for! They do everything you could possibly want and more, sandwiches, rolls, cakes, sausage rolls, bread. They will tailor make a sandwich and add mayo/salad cream. There's always a queue but they have plenty of lovely staff so the queue goes down quickly. Can't recommend highly enough

What a great bakery. It tells you when there's a que out the door it must be good, the smell of the bread is mouthwatering. The bread, cakes and rolls are all great.

Lovely food here always very busy you have to cue to get served but well worth it. This place is in Penkridge and is a lovely little village to have a cuppa and walk aronud good market too

Really love Jaspers. Always fresh crusty cobs that never disappoint. Wide range of savouries to cakes all of which look delish. Keep up the good work guys

Home cooked bread, cakes, pastries and sandwiches, from this local bakery, always has a queue but this demonstrates in itself the quality on offer.

Excellent service we needed 47 salad rolls made up for 9.30am and they were delicious and made up for us to collect for our picnic coach journey. All the stops pulled out for us.
