Oh you have to go here!! The fish is just cooked right, chips are home cut, and the curry sauce is yum yum...price not bad at all!!!

I've been looking for a decent fish & chip shop close to central Birmingham for over a decade, and finally I've found it! From the moment I walked through the door I was impressed. The owner was friendly and welcoming (not just to me, his interaction with other customers in the shop was also friendly & professional) and the shop was spotlessly clean (I can see that the numerous hygiene awards hanging on the wall are well deserved). Of course, courteous staff and hygienic environment would count for nothing if the food doesn't live up to it, but I am glad to say I wasn't disappointed. I ordered a large doner kebab and chips and what I received was delicious. The chips were hot and fresh despite me arriving in a non-peak period, and the portion size was both extremely generous and surprisingly cheap. The server who prepared my doner kebab didn't just slap everything in the pitta, they actually took time to ask me how I wanted it prepared - and not just what sauce I wanted, but also WHERE I wanted it and how I wanted my salad topping done (content and amount). The resultant kebab was absolutely delicious. As a final plus, I was even asked how far I had to travel to get home and when I informed them it was over 10 minutes away they took time to triple-wrap my meal to try and keep it hotter for the journey home. As a summary, I was completely blown away by the standards of cleanliness, staff professionalism, food preparation and taste from Bobbo's Fish Bar. I can now declare myself a regular customer after just one visit. Well done Bobbo's! :)

Fully refurbished chip shop - great for the area. There is a great variety of take away foods available which is always fresh and nicely presented. The staff are pleasant and friendly - nothing too much trouble, just ask!

I use Bobbo's at least once a week. Bobbo is always welcoming and cheerful and the food is great and reasonably priced. The battered cod in particular is delicious.

Beautiful Fish and Chips. Lovely to have battered fish that's white in colour instead of the rubbish most chip shop sell nowadays. Staff very friendly, shop very clean. Definitely visit again. Pity shop owner thinks TripAdvisor is better than Google. He's loosing out.
