Ariana in Birmingham

Chutney Indian Restaurant Sutton Coldfield First time at Chutney’s with three friends and a very good evening it was too. (Formerly called Ariana) We started at 5.30pm on a Monday evening and had poppadum’s with chutney, followed by vegetable palak, samosa’s and lamb kebabs. The mains included tasty machli salmon, chicken jalfrezi, Rajasthani chicken, an excellent Kukkar Marhani (chicken in yoghurt and tangy honey sauce) & a chicken & chips. With rice and naan bread. For deserts there were three lovely fantastica (had to wait some minutes whilst they defrosted) and a Ferrero Rocha ice cream. We had a bottle of the house rose wine which has low alcohol content at 5.5% and a coke. The service was good and knowledgeable and the bill for the five of us came to £110.00. They also have a meal deal of £11.95 between Sundays to Thursdays. We finished at 8pm and it is worth noting that we had parked over in the Tesco car park and walked across to the restaurant, and there is 3 hours free parking before your car would be recorded on the cameras. This is our local Indian restaurant where we have had many wonderful takeaways from. We decided to go into the restaurant to eat last night & it was lovely 😊 Beautiful home cooked food & great service! Thank you Guys

We have take aways from here most weeks and have visited the restaurant as well. The food is really lovely and is always delivered quickly. The restaurant is only small but the service is fab and we always leave happy and full. You can take your own alcohol so it becomes a cheap night out. I always order a chilli dip to go with the poppadoms, its spicy but delicious. The garlic naan is also lovely. I would recommend this place highly.

We are regulars but tonight was first class. Each dish was significantly different and lots of chicken etc. Couldn’t fault it. Thanks

This is now called Chutney - same staff and quality food. Highly recommend whether eating in or take always.

I have been going here for 20 years under its' various names (btw it is now Chutney). The staff have always been excellent, the food is really good and it is good value for money. I would recommend you take your own wine or beer (plenty of shops nearby), as their choice is poor. I can never understand why it is not more popular, but that suits me when I have forgotten to book. Looking forward to the next visit.

As we told on arrival they have not changed their name yet from Arianas to Chutney but this will be done very soon. The staff were very polite and very welcoming. As we were recommended this restaurant and it was local we thought we'd give it a go...and we were not disappointed. The King Prawn Puree starter was very tasty and I asked 4 it a little more spicier..it was delicious...the main course Chicken Tawa was very morish and tasty yet again..I even finished it all (i never finish a main meal hvng had a starter aswell)..the portions were decent and the chicken pieces were bigger than ive ever seen in a curry dish! Very good value 4 money...i would definately recommend this place...give it a go.

I have visited this Indian restaurant on many occasions and have had a delicious meal each and every time. I have also had multiple takeaways/deliveries which are always as good as eating in which is a difficult thing to find for many Indian takeaways. The staff are always very friendly and remember us each time we go in. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very relaxed and it is always spotless. I have taken many friends and relatives here and they always give rave reviews afterwards. I would highly recommend this restaurant and can safely say it is one of the best in its cuisine in the Sutton Coldfield area.

We always enjoy the food and the welcome that we receive. Full marks guys! But...we chose to leave this evening after our poppadums - purely because a lady sat down, with a horrible cough (wish her better soon, but couldn't she have had a take-away?). When her partner joined her, it was like feeding time at the zoo!! Not restaurant's fault - food fab, when enjoyed at home. We will continue to visit. We think food and service are consistently above average - do go.

This was our first night out for a while as we have a newborn daughter so we were really looking forward to it, and being just up the road it seemed perfect. We eat Indian food a lot and have eaten in most of the restaurants in the area, although it was our first time here. The food was lovely at the time, however it wasn't as lovely when we both saw it again at 4am. Both of us were severely ill all weekend and all I could smell for 2 days was prawns. We were unable to look after our own children and it's put me off ordering prawns EVER again, anywhere. The staff are nice enough, however I would never eat here again and would never recommend to anyone.

We have been using here for quite she time now. We did have a favourite curry house but after trying here we were won over! The flavour of their dishes are just amazing! Excellent portions, superb taste and fabulous service. The Mili Juli is my face dish & there is so much meat I usually end up packing half of it back up to finish another day. The taste & flavours of their dishes is just lovely! Decent prices & excellent food. Keep it up!

Have been here many times and have never been disappointed. Top quality food some great dishes that you don't normally find. Sunny is a gentleman who always makes you feel welcome. If you are ever in the area try it. It may not look much on the outside but when you get inside you will be pleasantly surprised.

If you beleive great things come in small packages then restaurant is for you. We had a take away and every thing we ordered was excellent, especially the byriani, which was perfect, and not dry like many i have tried. The Chicken Balti and Lamb Madras that we had also went down extremely well, with clean plates all round. We're so impressed that we have already booked a table for our next curry night, when we aim to try some of the chef's specials Highly reccommended

Had a takeaway this evening after work and it was exactly what i needed! I'm not local to Sutton Coldfield but I'll definitely be having another meal from the Ariana!

After attempting Miller & Carter and being told no food was being served out day was saved by this little curry heaven. Good portion sizes, friendly staff and decent price. Would definitely recommend :)

Volé diezmo inicio Reino Unido por Navidad y nos juntamos con amigos y familiares para la cena y bebidas aquí ya que siempre vienen aquí cuando se llamaba La MAA. Basta con decir que bien, la comida era increíble, el servicio era bueno, pero no podía creer ... El viernes mejores Navidades y que ni siquiera tenían agua con gas para mi hija aun por cervezas, vino para nosotros? ¿Qué tipo de lugar o debería decir gestión no puedo plan para Navidad? No me sorprende había una falta de gente allí? El MAA estaba siempre lleno!

Very good food only people eating in there but steady stream of takeaways kept place ticking over waiter very assertive you can tell customer service trained price and drinks all great all in all a nice place to visit

Ariana is our favourite Indian restaurant. The food is of high quality and the service is superb. Very friendly. There is a licensed bar but you can take your own alcoholic drinks if you wish. We love it...

Food tasted fantastic arrived piping hot and just on time and no waiting around. Really enjoyed the food there will definitely be eating there again soon.Will highly recommend to everyone.

I came in and the place looked fantastic the service was great so kind and friendly. I ordered a chicken tikka masala I tasted it and I thought I died and went to food heaven. I will always be coming here I highly recommend Ariana, Tasting is believing you know!!!!

We went to visit Ariana as it had just opened following a refurb from the resturant it used to be that had always got good reviews.The resturant is nicley done out and the staff were friendly and helpful.This was one of the nicest indian meals I have had for a long time and I will be going back there.Been on teh main Chester road some people may be put off thinking there is no parking but parking is not a problem as there is always plenty of spaces either across the road in the Tesco car park or on the road by Lidl (Where the resturant actually has a rear enterance for customers as well)To sum up, we had a really good meal here at good prices.I would recommend trying this resturant if you are in the area, as I think this may become my new local indian resturant if every meal is as good as my first here.
