A lovely little café, had the Bacon, Brie and Cranberry Panini, which was amazing, if only I'd ordered a second!
Coffee was also lovely, though a little frothy for a latte.
The entire time I was there (about an hour) they played exclusively ABBA music on the radio, I sincerely approve of this decision-
Came as part of a group so had a booked table slot. Had never heard of this place as it was booked by a friend but so pleased we came!
Situated in the lovely Great Western Arcade, this lovely little venue has a long list of great cocktails, good atmosphere and pleasant staff. Started off with our table upstairs and then moved downstairs to a seat by the door which was great for people watching!
Definitely recommend and would visit again.
What a great Pub, steeped in history and tradition with a fire place to die for. We had the Sunday roast and it’s quite possibly the best I’ve had. Very cosy and Friendly service. Can’t wait to go back.
Not been here for a while, think it was closed for sometime due to flooding? Visited today was same as remembered. Reception was good greated by a friendly hello. Parking good(two bikes took 1 car space with room for more bikes to park if required) still pleanty of spaces available.
Food was lush, best sausage Bacon and egg sarnie I've tasted in long time! Coffee was good too. Worth the ride over just for these. (Obviously roads surrounding are perfect for bikes). 2 sarnies tea and a coffee well under £20
I don’t normally do reviews but can I just say this food was lush was recommended by a friend and I don’t normally try new places because I’m so fussy I don’t normally risk it but I took the risk tonight and order via and deliveroo and it arrived warm quick and tasted lush! I had the tikka paneer wrap which was very tasty and I took a risk with the Hakka noodles and there the best noodles I’ve had from a take away ever!! As a fussy eater from a takeaway take the risk people!!! Trust me
Their choice of halal meat options is limited to some of the chicken only. But otherwise the food is generally interesting and tasty and unusual - being a mixture of Hong Kong and Malaysian cuisine.
The atmosphere is homely and customers are from the food region which is always a good sign because it means they trust and rate the standard of the food.
A wider variety of halal would make things much better and it would maybe widen the customer base; (presuming they even want to do so).
Parking in the evening is easy ...as there is a parking lane off King's Heath high street.
Love this vibrant pub. Plenty of entertainment on weekly and monthly. Clean and presentable, lovely enclosed beer garden with heaters. Lots of parking available.
I had a meat Balti which was lovely but the look on my wife’s face told me something was wrong she Three pices of chicken in a very watery soup which didn’t Taste of anything The Pilau Rice was lovely and the popudums . My Garlic Nan was red in colour and a bit burnt in places but was ok Taste . Unfortunately my wife’s meal Chicken Balti was awful . i would have complained if we weren’t in a bit of a hurry.
The best Indian food in Shrewsbury. Me and my partner have been going here for years and we've never been disappointed. Absolutely amazing food for a very reasonable price. Especially if you collect as they give you a discount with other freebies including salad, yoghurt, poppadoms and the best veggie spring rolls you'll ever taste. I love it here so much that a sit down Indian in a restaurant doesn't compare. I 100% recommend this establishment to anyone and the owner is such a kind gentleman too.
