The best restaurants in West Midlands

This is a lovely place to stay with very friendly and helpful staff. The range of beers is small but good quality, the rooms are roomy and comfortable, and the breakfast was REALLY good, freshly cooked and tasty. It was a last minute decision to stop here as we had to make our way back from Lancaster after an unplanned stop for one of our party at the hospital! We were made to feel very welcome. On the basis of our experience I have offered to pay for our eldest son to stay here with his wife to experience the atmosphere (and also to use the local italian restaurant that was of similar quality!)

More than a bookshop, this little gem of a place, connecting book lovers with great books, is a cozy, beautifully laid out, and lovingly managed by an amazing team of people! Whatever they do, they always do well and that includes the delicious food and drinks! A place worth visiting!

The best fish and chip shop in the town, by far.

Saw and heard about the restaurant and as we are missing Porto we had to give it a try. It was beyond our expectations - impressive menus wonderful food and service. i was set on the Francesinha but was advised to have a traditional sea food dish which was incredible so i was extremely grateful for the advise! The little touches too were very much appreciated- we can’t wait to return

Myself and my friend visited the Wheatsheaf on Monday to have a drink. On arrival we were immediately greeted by a positive atmosphere. The landlord and landlady greeted us within 30 seconds and were positively polite. The drinks were reasonably priced. The regulars were lovely and made us feel so welcome. We stayed here about an hour and at the end of our visit we were wished a lovely day and told thank you. I would 100% recommend this pub to anyone. It’s very family friendly and I will definitely be visiting again.

I eat here very often because I know that the food is fresh and of the best quality, I don't worry when I give my children an order from this restaurant, I know that the food is carefully selected. Besides all this, the services are very good, both the cook and the waiter are very nice, they always do their best to make you a satisfied customer. The restaurant has a friendly atmosphere which gives you comfort when you dine and you can feel relaxed. I warmly recommend the Cerbul De Aur Restaurant in Birmingham!

Friendly staff and people. We had a bad pint , but was willingly changed so no problem. Good range of beers and good value cheese and onion rolls.
