We have eaten here many, many times over the years. The food is always amazing, Fernando is a superb host who always has a smile and a warm welcome. It’s a lovely relaxed atmosphere, and Fernando always tries to accommodate if he can. Truly great authentic Portuguese food and wines, cant rate it highly enough.

Lovely staff very welcoming nice atmosphere had bread and olive starters very nice seabass olive potatoes and veg and salad for mains cheese and crackers and port for afters very nice would definitely recommend this restaurant lovely food nice evening with friends

The menu is fantastic, particularly the seafood section. The food exceeded expectation and the portions were good. We both had the fish platter, which I can highly recommend. The table next to ours were served steak on a hot stone. It was still cooking, so diners could decide how well they wanted it done. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the live music was a bonus and the atmosphere was vibrant. We will certainly go back for another fantastic meal.

We have been to Porto Douro a number of times, and normally have a fantastic experience. The staff are very welcoming, and the food is always full of flavour, and really good portion sizes. Unfortunately we went last week, and I was disappointed to see Cataplana (FishStew), no problem, I picked another seafood dish (seafood and rice) however it was boiled rice with a few piece of seafood thrown on top, with a water-y sauce. I have spoken to some friends who went the week before, and they were also disappointed with the taste compared to normal meals here. Hope that the menu is addressed soon, as it was a hidden gem before!

Awfull service from the server with raw and cold food. Feeling like i wasn't welcome there and long wait to get served.

It is so nice to experience a quality, independent restaurant that is local to where we live. We visited at lunchtime and found the place to be bright, warm and well appointed. The menu had a variety of dishes on offer at good prices overall. We opted for two different dishes from the fish menu. Both were full of flavour, of large portion size and well presented. While it was being prepared we enjoyed sharing some good, home baked fresh bread and olives A range of different wines were available at varying prices and we chose a very agreeable bottle from the Douro region. To finish, we selected the cheeseboard and Port. Again this was nice and filling, although I thought the volume of Port served was a little small for the amount of cheese. However, we did receive a second, complimentary glass along with a Pasta de Nata each. My espresso coffee seemed rather expensive and linen table cloths would be an improvement on plastic. We would happily return to this restaurant in the future. Thank you for a most enjoyable lunch

Called in for lunch with a friend and had a marvellous time. Delicious cocktail, tasty rissoles starter, and heavenly roboli which I recommend: delicate sea bass fillets in a creamy spinach and mushroom sauce. Even the roasted new potatoes were perfect. The only downside was that we had no room for the fabulous sounding desserts. Excellent service, of course and reasonable price for the quality and quantity of food. I look forward to trying more things on the menu.

Birthday lunch. Everything about this place is truly exceptional. From the service to the food. From the time we entered we were welcomed and from there it just got better and better. Large selection of Drinks, and portion size not usually seen in the UK. Waitress was attentive and friendly. 6 of us (4 adults, one teen and one child). Everyone well fed. What a pleasure and would definitely go again. Dishes: Gizzard, Salmon, Sardines, Cod, Portuguese Sandwich (an experience!) and kids pizza(just ok). Note: parking maybe an issue.

The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The menu had a good mix of traditional Portuguese dishes and grills. Food was tasty: my grilled chops were succulent and tender. The presentation was attractive and appetising. Portions are MORE THAN sufficient, so I had to refuse the complementary pasteis de nata I was offered (but not the port wine!) My first time here but I will be back with friends and family.

We were visiting friends and they brought us here for an evening meal , a great atmosphere and friendly service , the food was excellent two of opted for the seafood seafood platter which was a lovely selection of King prawns ,mussels, clams,crab clawmeat,sardines accompanied by chips bread and olives , a bottle of Rose' wine as a final touch to a lovely meal we will definitely visit again next time we visit our friends

Have been meaning to visit this restaurant for some time, and finally got there last week. We visited early evening and enjoyed a couple of Super Bock beers. A very acceptable bottle of Vinho Verde accompanied a very delicious steak, rice, fries and an egg, also octopus and roast potatoes. All very delicious and very generous portions. Can you believe Octopus in Acocks Green!! Complimentary Portuguese custard tarts and port were offered and enjoyed by us both, although very full!! We will return to sample more delights from their varied menu.

Wow ! Who knew this gem was on my doorstep! Food drinks service and entertainment all top notch … I will be back … we need more like this in Acocks Green. Excellent!
