Great pub , fantastic managers / landlords and bar staff . Made to feel really welcome , a real homely feel to the pub . Fab DJ on Saturday keeping everyone entertained . Great range of drinks , we will be back.

Came back in for Carnival, despite being busy the staff were friendly, fast and efficient. Even called us through to the back bar to reduce wait times. Also the perfect place to watch the carnival!

Quite possibly the worst pub I have ever visited. Barmaid didn't know what a hand pump beer was. Despite advertising 'traditional ales' there was only one overchilled bitter on offer. Customer sat at the bar farting loudly and others swearing at the top of their voice. I'm no prude but there's a time and a place. People smoking in the porch. Avoid like the plague!

Walked in at 8.40pm and was told were closed, states on website its open until 11 pm, maybe they should change the closing times to 8.30pm closed

Quick trip to see family were treated to a visit to the best pub in town. Great service lovely food the whole family including kids were made to feel really welcome. Shame we couldn't stay for Sunday Roast apparently its great.

This is a proper town pub, cosy, busy, with great beer at great prices and great company from the locals. The home cooked food is a great addition and it is a great place to get started before a wander down to the Angel on...

Friendly enough place serving a decent pint. The music playing as we arrived was a bit loud (and not really our taste) but as we ordered another track started to play that was a much nicer blues track. The landlady apologised for the music saying it was on random and promptly switched to something even worse! Perhaps not assume the music isn't everyone's taste just because it's not yours?

Not very nice. Full of kids and dogs. Smells of stale dog urine and food is "beige"at it's best. WALK ON TO THE NEXT PUB!

Lovely pub the bar staff are very friendly, Paul and Kat do the food Paul is a fabulous chef who makes restaurant style food at low price. He even came in the following morning to especially do us a breakfast. We will definitely be back. Paul even cooked the dog a sausage
