The best restaurants in West Selkley Wiltshire South West

Have ordered pizza on a Friday night a few times from Dylan, when I have been down visiting family near Marlborough, I opt to collect as I am outside the delivery area, but they do local delivery (you just need to check your postcode with them). If I make it back without having a cheeky bite - it's a rare occasion. It smells so good, I can't resist. The classic Margherita is my fave, but my fiancé loves the Nduja sausage :-) We love the garlic bread too, really buttery and actually tastes of real garlic! From his Baking Shed, Dylan also does Bread on a pre-order basis - so we buy a loaf and collect it with our Pizza! Win! Win! - saves me going out on Saturday morning.

I'd say this is probably vying with Dan's for the best place to eat in Marlborough. We had our Valentine's dinner here and whole experience was just superb. It's a very characterful pub with lots of dining rooms feeding off the main entrance, so a great mix of busy/bustling, cosy and yet still intimate. They've just got a new chef but considering it was his first night running the kitchen you'd never know, all our food was perfectly cooked and very well presented. Great to see them employing some younger people for serving, some of them clearly still learning but all with a great "customer-centric" attitude. Finally the bill was half the price of somewhere like Rick Stein's. Couldn't really fault it at all.

Went for Sunday lunch at 3pm, so not the best time. Very noisy, bad acoustics. They had run out of several things on menu. Food was good though. Staff not very attentive. Not expensive.

Hidden gem, can't believe I've never been here before. The food was spectacular, including the vegan options. The staff were so attentive and friendly, it was like being waited on by family. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be going back

Thomas Frake created a celebration evening and wine tasting from All Angels on Friday a black treacle cured venison and a bread and butter pudding with thee most delicious brown butter ice cream . Thomas has an exquisite flavour palette and the menu he created was delicious

My wife and I decided to have a Xmas lunch out this year, choosing The Crown Inn, with a drink bought, we were shown to our table, with a carvery my wife went up to place the meat , vegetables and gravy on our plates. With our lunch a small bottle each of Procecco to compliment the meal. The meal was absolutely superb with lots of taste, the range of different puddings was amazing which we both enjoyed, traditional Xmas pudding with brandy sauce, and an Irish liqueur cheesecake with ice cream ,we both enjoyed the puddings, so then after we both had a coffee to finish off this lovely meal. We will certainly come back to enjoy another meal but I would think in the New Year. I would like to thank all the staff for their hard work in making ours and the other customers Xmas lunch a lovely day, so Merry Christmas and a Happy new year to The Crown Inn.

Very friendly staff where nothing is too much trouble We meet once a month fora ladies club. The restaurant is always busy and the food that is served is second none. We are always made welcome. The staff are excellent at looking after people and this is a little gem in a Neolithic world heritage site

Wonderful goats, fun to look at. Nice goats to look at and enjoy looking at. I love goats.. this is the place for me.. I look at goats

We popped in for dinner as we were staying locally and were so impressed we ended up coming back the following night. Everything we ate was delicious, and the kids chicken nuggets might be the best we've ever eaten!

A wonderfull place to rast and sleep

Had a lovely lunch. Generous portions. Very nice fish and chips and schnitzel and before all a very nice atmosphere and lovely hosts.

Spur of the moment drop in, smashing chap on the bar, great food but the wine glass was a little foggy...the wine was fine though!

Lovely old stone pub on the A4, freshly decorated but retaining the original character. The GF fish was moist and crisp, the chips also crisp and fluffy, the pie excellent. Local ales were good, too. Busy but friendly and efficient staff

Arrived expecting to find a pub and found it had changed hands two weeks earlier and reopened as an Indian restaurant - we were obviously among the very first customers! We were given a warm welcome, the food was absolutely excellent and the service attentive. I would highly recommend the Goan fish curry, mild and deliciously seasoned.
