Sunday Lunch review - The food was Ok , I'm not going to tear it apart but for £45 it was a bit of a rip off . What was fabulous was the service , there is a lack of good service staff anywhere these days and the team here were so friendly and attentive without being over familiar or overbearing . Venue and ambience also lovely - we will be back but more likely for cocktails in the garden and definitely not a very strict set Sunday lunch . Small request PLEASE stop putting oil in everything , starter and pudding all contained lots of oil ! Again excellent service really happy to pay the service charge for once!

Good Chinese food can often be a hit-or-miss. It turns out that a little take-out only Chinese restaurant called Victoria House in Tisbury gets it tasty right. Orders are freshly made within a short waiting time and the flavors are very authentic. Be careful when ordering a spicy dish, the ones with a spicy red chili next to it. Brits love their spicy curries and Asian food. At Victoria House, spicy is definitely spicy-hot so you might want to asked them to toned it down. Other than that, really good Chinese food and friendly service.

In short, a lovely pub let down by poor service and food. Visited 1pm on a Tuesday. Service was very poor, we had to tell the servers three times we were ready to order over a 15min period. When it came to paying the bill, it was the same, we had to keep asking. Servers were not busy, the place only had about 20 people in including our party, they were chatting to each other rather than looking after their customers. They left the card reader with us and never came back ... so we took our card and left. Food was mediocre at best. Two of our party had steaks, and both we overdone (my rare was medium/done). The cheesecake was the worst I've had, three of us couldn't eat it, taste and more so the texture were just off ... the base was fine. I've never left a poor review before, but this place, on that day, deserved it.

The options for lunch was I dismal winter soup or a sausage roll. £30 we had the worst sausage roll I have ever tasted. What a waste.

As a bit of a treat after cooking everyday we thought we would try this takeaway service. It's only open a couple of days a week, and social media made it look great. The food was delivered by a nice lady. That is pretty much where the positive ends!! We had a chicken kebab with jerk and oragono. At nearly £13 for one, we were expecting great things. But no, dry overcook chicken. Loads of leaves to fill the box. lack of flavour unless you like salt, there was plenty of salt!! We then had the vegan brownie, well i was nearly sick! It was a dry brown brick.. and tiny! So disappointed! Avoid at all costs!!
