Superb food on a broad menu that came with 8 types of vegetables. Also cheery service and atmospheric seating in the thatched cottage and the attractive garden.

Staff nice, nice garden, pleasant. Let down by the food. £50 gets you i pint of cider half pint larger, peas undercooked and definitely from a freezer bag, 2 x chips also freezer bag, scampi again from the freezer as we're 2 portions of onion rings. 2 halves of cheap tasteless tomato's and a sirloin steak medium rare almost impossible to eat so chewy, suggests the cheapest cut they could find. Extremely disappointing even the measly two sachets of sause were cheap vinegary options no heinz here, always a sign of someone cutting costs to maximise profits. Needless to say we won't return despite the warm welcome. I know the trade is difficult these days but no excuse to rip people off. I'd rather pay a bit more and get quality than pay almost as much and get cheap freezer rubbish.

Excellent Lamb rib ,excellent Pork,excellent Steak and ale pie . Roast lamb spoilt the full house . Staff were fantastic , drinks good . I particularly like the Rhubarb and Ginger Ice cream . All in all a great 18th Birtgday lunch for my Granddaughter

Grumpy grandba Have used this chippy over many years, not a local but worked the area this was my most disappointing visit , I hate giving any little business's a poor review ,but when the shop opens 15 min late ok only 12.15 then you get plentyfull but re heated chip's for lunch greasy stale and bitty not recomendable ,suggest they cut back on choices till they master basic quality

Had a lovely lunch at the fox and goose, food was lovely fresh and hot, staff were also very friendly and attentive, will definitely be returning

The breakfast and coffee order was absolutely fine, I would say Lacking in customer service, a simple hello I’ll be with you shortly when I arrived would be nice, when my breakfast arrived I was told the Cuttery was back at the counter, now I know it’s a café but perhaps they could supply cutlery at the same time as my breakfast?,

I highly recommend the friendly staff were great and the food was exceptional be careful as portions are massive and delicious

Lovely "pie of the day" (steak and mushroom) and delicious handmade burger. Sat in the dining room which was spacious and comfy. The delightful young woman who served us was helpful and attentive. Brilliant lunch all round.

Visited for our daughter’s birthday meal with the whole family. Food was incredible, could tell it was homemade with a lot of love and care put in. Service was also very good. I wish I’d got the name of the gent behind the bar as he was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Well deffo be coming back! Had a fantastic evening.

Self service push-button coffee machine. No easily accessible wheelchair seating. Very limited food and drink options. Go to the main hospital canteen (Springs) instead.
