Great staff good food relaxed and friendly pub, child friendly with caring but not overfamiliar approach. Home cooked food which tasted amazing

This was the best steak and ale pie we have ever had. Packed with tender beef in a rich gravy. A vibrant atmosphere and staff always so welcoming and friendly.

It's a lovely pub and the food was nice, however the service was pretty terrible. When the waitress actually turned up she was very pleasant, but overall it was very 'inattentive' had to keep going to get someone to order a drink, we got our own menus in the end, and had to chase up for coffees. When we wanted to split the bill (just between two) the waitress actually rolled her eyes!

We wnt in with no intention of eati g but once we smelt and saw the Sunday 3 meat carvery we couldn't resist. The food was great as was the service but best of the pricing is great comparred to other pubs in the local area. We will be back soon and I advise anyone else to get down before word gets out and it s too busy to get in!

Visited for our daughter’s birthday meal with the whole family. Food was incredible, could tell it was homemade with a lot of love and care put in. Service was also very good. I wish I’d got the name of the gent behind the bar as he was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Well deffo be coming back! Had a fantastic evening.
