Eureka- we found it - one of the best Sunday lunches ever- Nice welcome, nice pint, nice good quality house wine (glass or bottle) excellent staff and service. The tables were not on top of each other as we now find post Covid, but spacious yet retaining a cosy atmosphere. The meal, and we had a mixture of meats between us, both in quality and quantity was excellent- We shall return! - and soon hopefully on our next visit to see family nearby.

Two couples went for afternoon tea at this lovely location and setting. Incredibly it’s close to the M4 but in a secluded and quiet village. We had a drink in the bar pre our afternoon tea, which is pleasantly furnished with comfortable seating. The afternoon tea was excellent……… Freshly made sandwiches, good range of cakes and last, but not least warm scones with more than adequate cream and jam portions. Lastly, the Staff were very friendly and helpful and extremely efficient. The lady manning the Bar, and the gentleman on Reception and serving the table were really ‘on the ball’ and made our afternoon very special.

Really wonderful and incredibly friendly independent café/wine bar; very accommodating with a great array of coffees, teas and hot chocolate that can made according to dietary requirements and restrictions. Alcohol is served from 12 with a good range from old and new wine and beer. Thoroughly recommend The Cellar; it is a hidden gem! and will definitely be revisiting!

My other half took me here as he has been singing it's graces for a long time. I am from east Sussex and came to visit him and he said we had to go here. I am blown away by how good the burger was. What a burger! Happily will return next time I see him, so we can chow down to this tasty grub again.

We stopped in Chippenham on our way south after a day trip and were tempted by the look of this Italian restaurant. We had no booking but were shown to an upper room, which was empty, but soon filled up with other diners. After ten minutes we were able to place our order. Then we waited, and waited some more. Others around us were served, and we still waited, until the waiter came and apologised that our order had been mislaid! We had to place our order again, and now it was 40 minutes since we had arrived. Another 25 minutes we finally got our meals and more apologies from the waiters. The food was average at best and combined with the long wait, we were not entirely happy when we left. They had indicated that we would get a discount, but I only saw that we had not been charged for just one £4.70 side salad. Never mind. We are not often in Cirencester and unlikely to be back.

On a bitterly cold winter night we were so lucky to find ourselves in this warm and delightful restaurant. It was early evening and the owner was busy making the temperature warm but so was her welcome. Just arriving was a pleasure compounded by the excellent meal that followed. The food was delicious and the service very friendly and fun. Highly recommended.

Visited for lunch with a family member who lives close by. Fantastic village pub, really friendly staff, welcoming and really attentive, really lovely honest Sunday lunch, we had pork and beef between us, nice to see such a great Sunday lunch with really nicely cooked veg, we won the cleanest plate award of the day, but that was just because the food was so good, great dessert offerings and drinks. We all enjoyed it and will be back.

We visited today for lunch. The pub was very busy and we asked to be moved from the table that had been reserved for us as the area was so noisy. The person we spoke to was really helpful and moved us to another area straight away, without making us feel we were being annoying! Excellent service and food.

Had lunch here because we use its sister pub, The Langley Tap, and were hoping for a similar experience. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Food was disappointing, I had a chicken satay dish to start with, which was a couple of strips of chicken on a lettice bad with a very watery peanut sauce on the side. Chicken pie was all mush inside, and the veg was cold. Service was slow, and the restaurant was very noisy. Quite a shame.
