I attended a workshop in Beaminster and at lunch time and although we were given many options for food outlets, me and 2 other participants decided on the Trading Post and I am so pleased we did. All 3 of us had soup and it possibly was the most delicious soup I have ever had the pleasure to taste. I would go back to Beaminster just to go to this cafe. It was an absolute joy from start to finish, the service, the food and the venue were all delightful. Thank you Trading post I will be back x

Great tasty late afternoon breakfast and toasted scones. Friendly service and ambience. The cafe is a family run business and is located off the main square in Beauminster so could easily be missed. It was a Monday and most of the cafes were closed and the few that were open had only cold food so it was great to find somewhere serving warm food. Look for the orange sign on the square or outside the cafe. The cafe has artwork and crafts on display as well as books and is light and bright.

What a find! Beautiful restaurant, we had such a great dinner we returned for breakfast! Staff were really friendly and welcoming.Food was lovely, we all had steaks cooked to perfection whilst also enjoying some cocktails and locally brewed ciders. Would highly recommend and will hopefully get the chance to return.

Oh dear, we must have hit a bad day. We had chosen Brassica for a family get together lunch as we had read so many rave reviews. Three of us chose the pasta based autumn special, while the fourth wanted only a salad. The paste was very undercooked, and I do know the difference between al dente and being hardly able to get a fork into it and the whole dish tasting of raw flour. We pointed out the problem and the plates were returned to the kitchen. When they came back to the table the food was hotter but the pasta remained unchanged. One of the group was so hungry she ate it anyway, but the other two found it inedible. The salad was quite nice, but at £12 for a small bowl of dressed leaves with slices of orange and a few walnuts I thought it overpriced. The staff were very good and some money was taken off the bill for the uneaten food, but that was hardly the point, we had gone expecting a lovely lunch on one of the rare times we could all be together and instead left still hungry and deeply disappointed

Good home cooked food and plenty of it. Prices are very reasonable and the beer was excellent. Pity I was driving or would have had another few pints! I chose the turkey and ham pice which was very tasty loads of succulent turkey and great gravy.

Wow what a little hidden gem! We arrived Friday evening at our lake cabin at willow farm we was recommended to try the new inn which was in walking distance, we arrived and we was welcomed by Kirsty who was so friendly. There were locals in the pub but that didn’t stop Kirsty and the locals being so friendly and welcoming. We had dinner which was lovely and it was just needed after a long drive. On Sunday we decided to have a walk to the pub again for the Sunday roast wow - amazing!! And the chocolate brownie absolutely delicious!! Definitely the best village pub we have ever been to! We couldn’t recommend enough!

Its such a shame this been our preferred family breakfast meet up for ages. but …. standards are slipping guys!! Change in management showing unfriendliness, chatotic service and mistakes. last 3 visits- off milk, egg shell in persian eggs, forgot to put order through You have a gem of a place needs the efficiency and friendliness of the old manager though!

Just occasionally, you find somewhere that has absolutely everything absolutely right. Lovely rustic setting, at the rear of the shop, with additional tables outside. Welcome and service good. We ordered toasties and tap water. The latter came in a bottle, with iced glasses - always a plus. Toasties were excellent. So many places fail on them but these were very, very good indeed. Delicious bread, no skimping on the fillings and a small bottle of dressing supplied to go with the small side salad. All remarkably good value for such quality.

I don't often write reviews. But after this experience I've got to. I can honestly say that this is the worst Indian restaurant that I have ever visited in my lifetime. The food was totally disgusting I'm sorry I didn't take a photo. After 10 minutes after the food arrived we couldn't believe it. We asked to speak to the manager or the chef and we told them what we thought about the food which I couldn't say on here. We refused to eat it and decided to leave.when we were leaving my wife decided she needed to use the ladies.when she came out she said she couldn't use it because the toilet bowl was absolutely disgusting plus the was used toilet paper all over the floor. I am that furious about this place I've decided to report them to the local health authority. Please do not visit this place. It's absolutely disgusting . How they haven't been closed down is unbelievable. Avoid at all cost believe me. Go to Bridport that's we done and had a beautiful meal

The Red Lion pub is a fantastic find. The owner is so friendly and welcoming, the food looks and tastes really good and they stock Powderkeg gluten free beer alongside beers from the brewery . This visit we had cheesy chips - best cheesy chips ever.

Visited this great pub twice while we were on holiday for a week in the area. So pleased we did, the food was excellent. The portions are very generous. The staff so friendly. We will definitely call in again when we are in beautiful Dorset.
