Great tasty late afternoon breakfast and toasted scones. Friendly service and ambience. The cafe is a family run business and is located off the main square in Beauminster so could easily be missed. It was a Monday and most of the cafes were closed and the few that were open had only cold food so it was great to find somewhere serving warm food. Look for the orange sign on the square or outside the cafe. The cafe has artwork and crafts on display as well as books and is light and bright.

Highly recommend this lovely cafe. Visited on our way home from the coast and was pleasantly surprised by the very pretty garden. Stopped for coffee and cake which was exceptionally good. The service and hospitality very good. Hope to return next time in the area.

If you’re in the area then this is a must visit cafe. The food is superb, the surroundings (both inside and outside in their ornate gardens) quite marvellous, and the service second to none. I visited with my family a few days ago and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thanks so much to the proprietors and staff.

Not being familiar with venues in Beaminster, I brought friends to this cafe solely on the recommendations on the internet. Unfortunately, although the food was acceptable, the service was extremely slow, and I mean very extremely. It was almost as if we were being ignored. I could understand this if the cafe had been very busy, but there were only three other tables occupied when we arrived. When asking for the bill we were told quite brusquely to go to the front counter as if we should have known already that this was the practice. I don’t think I will be returning here any time soon.

Think we went on bad, I mean very bad day. It was clean and airy. Food virtually inedible. Toasted cheese and Tomato sandwich burnt. Mine came out 10 minutes later, panini was very greasy. We both left more than half.

Visited Tangerine on a first trip to Beaminster. Very friendly welcome on a hot day. Asked for an iced tea, and though it wasn't on the menu, the server said she would "see what (she) could do". A few minutes later a freshly made iced tea was delivered and very refreshing.

With an extensive choice of locations to sit, including garden, orangery and snug; the delicious cakes available made a morning coffee visit a true delight. All the staff made you feel very welcome in the spotlessly clean cafe. A slice of Victoria Sponge tasted way beyond what you would normally expect! It was interesting to view the original pictures for sale, with prices as low as £40. Well worth visiting.

A friend and I went to Tangerine Cafe yesterday for afternoon tea. As it was a sunny day we were delighted to be shown into the walled garden where there were a variety of options for seating. We went for the summer house which is newly built - this enabled us to enjoy the peace and beauty of the garden whilst sheltering from the breeze. The owners are a delightful and very interesting couple and the tea and cake were first class. We will be back.

The waitress was really polite and efficient and coped well when somebody is front of me, an impatient and perhaps a little rude customer was speaking. I was impressed. The hot chocolate was good. I went there to meet with a tutor and, although there was a friendly buzz of chatter and sounds, it was quiet enough for me to be able to listen to the tutor. Thank you.

Food was fantastic, freshly cooked and very tasty with fresh herbs. I had the roasted squash salad, my elderly parents had salmon & beetroot salads and my partner had the lamb burger..everyone was very happy. We also found room somehow to try the cakes which were also also great, lemon & blueberry and the orange & almond. Dog friendly too and tables were not crammed together so good if you're dog is a bit nervous like ours. Service was good too, friendly and attentive. Place was relatively quiet on a Monday, and a shame not more of the adjacent craft places are open / occupied.
