The best restaurants in Northam Torridge South West

Memories is a great restaurant, the food is amazing, always fresh and delicious. The service is also great, friendly and helpful without any faff. We have been several times with friends who live locally and know that they have to book months in advance. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for any occasion.

Told there was a small wait approximately 35 - 40 mins, in which we were fine with. The lady who seemed to be in charge of the kitchen seemed to shrug us off with an excuse, which instantly left a bad vibe. 1 hour and 20 mins later still waiting and no communication from ANY of the staff while waiting inside the hallway for our order. During that time we had seen a few other people arrive, verbally order and pay for pizza and receive their food before us. Numerous food deliveries going out. Absolutely ridiculous service and I was fuming. My poor son waiting ages for his pizza and we drove 25 miles to eat there and watch the sunset over Lundy. We enjoyed a previous visit over a year ago, but it was dead quiet when visiting that time. Never again after this visit being bumped down the list and others being catered for before us, the pizzas were shockingly thin and tasteless, totally wasn’t worth the journey or wait at all. Do not recommend.

The food was excellent, We had the Scallops with parsnip puree and crisps which were delicious, followed by the fillet steak and short rib beef cottage pie, which was excellent, had pudding, which in my opinion was not so good.but did not detract from the above. we stayed the night and the breakfast was really good, the waitress at breakfast was friendly, and although the restaurant was full, we didn't have to wait to be served, there is a good choice of breakfasts.

Great first visit to The Kingsley for their Karaoke night. We will be back.

This is the best chinese in the bideford area.. Mister ho! Does not meet the standards of this place. I ordered a chicken and beef curry.. lots of meat..full of flavour. 100% recommend

The van runs a generator all day to power the van, noisy and polluting. must be a greener way to run a business.

2 night stay ... Fabulous Location for exploring other Places ,Room was outstanding and Well Decorated and spotless ,Staff were just so Friendly and Helpful ..Breakfast was superb ..Smiley Faces all Round ,Free car park a Bonus ...Look out for Ginger cat who pops by ,the local celebrity we understand !! 😆

My daughter and I booked dinner at The Olive Tree Restaurant in The Durrant House Hotel in Bideford. When we arrived the restaurant was very busy and our table was in the bar instead, which suited us both better to be honest. We were served by John-Paul for the whole time we were there and he was so friendly and helpful and we cannot speak highly enough about him. Nothing was too much trouble and he kept us informed about each course while we were there. We both ate from the Specials Menu which was dinner and dessert for £14.50. Our roast dinners were delicious and so were our puddings. We had a great time and will definitely be booking again very soon.

Helpful friendly staff; in fact they went out of there way to help families with very small toddlers. Food sandwiches and chips] were super and arrived extremely quickly; chips red hot and tasty. Delightful cafe and well sited! Highly recommend.
