The staff were very rude, will not be returning. We were waiting for coffees the cakes we ordered were on the counter. We were told abruptly to take the cakes , by a member of staff . She said l need to serve the next person.
Llamamos aquí para un desayuno ligero. Es una zona amplia y bien equipada dentro de la librería. Tuvimos té y tostadas para el desayuno a precios razonables. El personal era amable.
Lovely cafe we come to regularly - always a warm welcome. Delicious lunch of ham sandwich, salad and chips today. Really good range of drinks for all year round and ice cream now it is getting warmer. We all enjoy the cakes - tasty options that aren’t run of the mill. Favourite of our daughter at the moment is the ramblejack in the photo! Easy to access with a wheelchair too which is great.
Me and my partner ordered for collection was prompt, plentiful portions and was hot and delicious. We look forward to coming again and trying some different flavours next time! ☺️
A high standard pub with a nice interior and wood and glass dining room extension filled with natural light. Large garden with lots of tables. Tasty food that was far more adventurous than standard pub fare. Right next door to Thatchers Brewery. Quiet on a Monday lunchtime. Would happily return
An enjoyable Saturday birthday lunch for a large family group (7 adults, 1 child) in comfortable surroundings. Service was attentive without being over bearing and food was hot and fresh. The menu isn’t the most adventurous - lamb shank, rotisserie chicken, fish & chips, burgers and pizzas- but it’s done well. We enjoyed 4 of the ‘small plates’ to share for starters which were a bit more adventurous with spicy brisket bao buns and interesting chicken wings. They were happy to provide a small jug of gravy to go with the child’s sausage and mash which was appreciated. With 4 x Peronis, 1 x cocktail, 1x mocktail, 1 x non alcoholic beer and 3 x cokes, couple of coffees, the small plates, 7 mains and I child meal with 3 x puds, it came in just shy of £300 including 10% service which doesn’t seem to bad. We also had a free bottle of Prosecco with a voucher which was a big saving as the Prosecco is very marked up at £35.
Pleasant place to eat with period surroundings. Food is averagely priced & is par for the course. Very varied interesting menu. Staff friendly & obliging. Would make it a regular... Like.
This place is by far the nicest coffee place I’ve ever been in. Great coffee, thoroughly charming staff, and hugely efficient when busy. Love the place and wouldn’t go anywhere else now. And the cakes are to die for!
