Good place to shop at, the staff have always been able to answer any questions I've had. Often males or masculine workers here but I've (as a female shopper) never felt intimidated, belittled, or unwelcome. Store policies have been clearly signposted or politely explained by staff to me. Staff have always been happy to talk to me about the tech behind the glass. Overall no complaints about CEX :)

Rude staff. Got a phone from there that trkm the beginning there was problems charging. Took it in to store to be told maybe try a different charger. It's temperamental and charges sometimes so clearly there's a fault with the phone but they wouldn't even look

Went to return an item that I bought yesterday that's incredibly slow and not fit for purpose, I was told because it is because it's an older generation model and was refused a refund. In that case, it shouldn't have been purchased by the store in the first place. Store credit isn't a good enough alternative and I'm definitely never buying anything from here again and would advise anyone else to do the same. Just save yourself hassle and buy from Amazon where you have more consumer rights. EDIT: The bottom line is you sold me something that doesn't work then have the nerve to tell me it does and spew out some pathetic excuse for it disguised as a 'policy'. DO NOT buy from this excuse of an electronics 'store', you're a disgrace and the whole chain deserves to go under.

Used to be good when upstairs part of the shop was open aswell,gone down hill since they've closed it also lack of stock. You can order online but costs more money.

Expensive for second hand items

Good variety of consoles plus the older retro consoles such as the Sega mega drive, playstation 1 and 2, Atari lynx and more. Games of all types are available which all are extremely cheap for the 2nd hand games, plus the usual up to date brand new games at retail price. Would highly recommend to all. AAA++⭐⭐

Went here today expecting cash in hand and all I walked out with was disappointment. Blonde haired employee refused to buy anything that I’d brought him even though it was all fully functional, when I asked him why he scoffed and turned around leaving me feeling rather embarrassed.

Bought diablo 4 yesterday, didn't work, to9k it back today. They told me they can only give me store credit. I refused, never buying anything from there ever again. Consumer rights act 2015 specifically says that I can return something that is of unsatisfactory quality within 30 days of purchase. That's what trading standards told me on the phone. But cex don't care about the law. Edit: I don't care what your policy is. That's the law and you're breaking it.

I bought Sonic Adventure DX for GameCube for 40£, when I try to played it, it doesn't work, it was a very very scratched disc

CeX is a 2nd hand shop that buys and sells unwanted electronic goods, including laptops, computer components, games consoles, and more. I have been to a few CeX stores in the past, and I have found that the selection of goods is generally good, but the prices are often steep. I understand that CeX has to make a profit, but I think that their prices are often too high especially when you see the difference that they pay for goods comparing them to their resale price. Overall, I would give CeX a 3-star rating. The selection of items available is good, but the prices are often overpriced. I would only recommend CeX if you are unable to find the item you are looking for elsewhere, or if you are willing to pay a premium for the convenience of buying it in person.

Saw a game in the window. Went 8n to get it. But I was told not compatible with my xbox. And was shown one that was. So win win.

Absolutely atrocious refunds policy. I sold my old graphics card to them in exchange for store credit towards a better card they had in store. The card they sold me WAS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE as it overheated under the slightest use. Was told I couldn't try to fix it myself without voiding the warranty and thus not be able to return it if it was just broken. I decided to be safe and return it but they would not refund me the whole amount due to the portion I bought with store credit. They said they could give me the credit to spend in store but I was uninterested in buying anything else that may be broken. I asked for the cash value of the card I sold instead but they told me they were unable to do this. They also informed me they could not return the card I sold. In the end I had to use the credit to partly buy back my old card and then sell it again, leaving me with a whopping £24 profit that day and at a net loss with the original card. TL;DR I was sold a faulty upgrade to my PC and was not allowed to get my old part back, leaving me £100 worse off

I've never been in one yet that gad prompt service nor one that looks like the have a cleaner. I've never sold here so can't comment upon that. Sales team though could do better. Not specific to one branch all of them I've been in

Went in with a faulty wii controller. Initially told that they couldn't take it because the serial number was different and I'd have to bring the whole console back. Explained my situation and they decided to exchange it. Did the right thing and gave good customer service. Guys working 25/3/23 in weston deserve recognition

Great helpfull staff and the occasional good buy. But want to give you next to nothing for expensive gear and sell you sell it back to you for an over inflated price but I suppose that's the nature of most business.

It's a good size shop and has lots of option's for games such as PS5, Xbox etc. They also sell DVDS and you can also sell items as well.

I like this place right in the heart of the town centre and on Weston High Street. It has some good dvds, mobiles and tablets to offer and at reasonable prices to fit any pocket.

Really not much going for it, only popped in to see what they had and was extremely underwhelmed. I doubt it'll be there this time next year. Better off buying online.

Huge choice of pre-owned electronics, but what I bought was rubbish. They refunded me readily enough, but I remain unimpressed. I couple of the staff appeared a bit clueless.

Cex is a cool shop but it didn't have what we wanted this time, but it wouldn't stop me going in there again because they usually have good bargains!

Didn't feel there was much to look at in there, the up stairs was closed off so was downstairs only but prices seemed reasonable.

Only seem to sell 3 brands of mobile phones - would like to see more variety. Staff are really helpful & surprisingly most have a sense of humour, yay! Considering the trade-in price for dvds I feel that perhaps they could charge a tad less or have some offers running? Maybe give more than a Diddy penny for films handed in.

This shop has a myriad of interesting things to look at managed to get the leaves I needed without feeling as if I was a old age pensioner and didn't know the Tech they made me feel very comfortable and they were very patient

They buy and sell a wide range of reconditioned CDs, DVDs, and computer games. Also used and guaranteed mobile phones, memory cards, consoles and accessories, tablets laptops, and memory boards. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable. The store has disabled access, and is on ground level.

The W-s-M store is acceptable the staff is amazing , helpful and fun , too bad they do not have more products , but the online store is more than full.

Yes, you can browse for hours in this treasure trove, this goldmine of techi "stuff"! Once again my granddaughter found a retro game she had been searching for, it seemed forever! She was so delighted and so were we to see her so happy! Such a thrill to discover something you've wished for! Highly recommended!

My 14 year old son and his freind went here on Saturday while having a day out in town. When they came in they were presented with a range full of dvds to choose from. My son ( who is 14 years old) picked up the classic film jaws (which is rated a 12) and walked over to pay he held out his card ready and they asked for ID he told them that he is 14 and over the age of 12 but they still proceeded to ask for his ID so he held out his card and said that you have to over twelve to even have a card yet still again said that they needed ID his freind chimed in to explain they are in year 9 and that he obviously looks over 12 but they said very sternly and almost shouted that they are causing trouble so my son said he is not going to be shopping here again. So Cex maybe try to employe the right staff

Great place for pre-loved electronics. The watch that I bought however wasn't charged which would have put my mind at ease when purchasing. Maybe incentivise all sellers to supply the box and instructions.

Wow, we were thrilled when my granddaughter found an outdated or retro Animal Crossing game she had long been searching for. And it was only ten quid! Wow! To say she was thrilled was an understatement - she was ecstatic, and of course this made us happy to see her so over the moon! Such a wonderful place for a browse and buy for all you techies and gamers.
