Zaks Indian Kitchen in North Somerset

Had one of the best Indian meals ever here last night. Food was amazing and beautifully presented. Price did not break the bank either. Will be returning.

It's a being your own bottle restaurant, this could be better advertised, but there's a co op and Tesco express next door. Food was fantastic

Delivery took an hour an a quarter but was completely worth it when it arrived as it is the best curry I have ever had. Best curry in Weston 100%, pricing is amazing and food was still piping hot. Highly recommend!

Mixed review. The pakoras were a generous portion but very greasy. The tandoori chicken was overcooked and very dry and did not come with a salad or raita sauce, which is a first. Disappointing at that price.

Very tasty food, just the right balance of spice. Good menu selection.

Make an order online 35mins wait not too bad. Got there the staff were friendly came to see me straight away waited about 10mins for order to arrive from kitchen. Got home the food was absolutely disgusting my parters meat and curry tasted horrible, my king prawns was rubbery had no taste what so ever. The chips were like cardboard. Only things that were nice was the poppadoms and the nann bread. Wount be returning!!

Food was stone cold and chicken was chewy

Bad quality lamb I don't know whererver it's old meat or cheap meat but smelt bad and tasted bad even told them. Everything else was good just stay clear of lamb dishes. Byo places which is nice

Great food a little cold so bunged in the microwave for a couple of minutes. Booked for 19:00 came at five passed so no complaints 🤩

I’ve bought from here many times but today was not great. Some chicken was a little tough, the Dansak was unrecognisable, and the rice was missing. I know it’s Monday but It looked and tasted like the weekend’s leftovers.

Food arrived half an hour after latest delivery time stated, took 2hours in total to come and wasn’t other it did arrive. Food all nice as usual but just ruined by the fact it was cold and took so long!!

Don’t order from Zak’s anymore since they moved from Worle into town, they are just a bit too far away from us, but fancied trying them again tonight. Just as good if not better than we remember. Full of flavour, better than the place we have been using. Definitely ordering again in future. Forgot one of the mint yoghurt dips but all is forgiven. Will be back - and soon.

Excellent first visit. Only about 15 minutes walk from our hotel on the seafront. It was nice and warm inside 👍. I didn't realise it was a Bring Your Own Drink....not a problem, as there is a CO-OP and a Tesco just a few doors down. The staf were polite and attentive and the food was excellent. The Paneer Dish my wife had looked and tasted yummy. My chicken madras was very nice. Portions are a very good size and the prices were excellent. We had Poppadoms and dips, two main dishes, a rice to share, a portion of Onion Bhaji and a plain nan for £32 👌. I had to drop one star because of the nasty smells in the Gents Toilet.

Food was absolutely great but the original delivery time shown before placing the order was much earlier than the time sent once ordered, can’t fault the food though 👌🏼

Always busy, which is a good sign. Excellent nosh and bring your own booze, which helps keep the costs down too.

We had our first meal from Zak's last night (delivery), and were impressed. As vegans, we really appreciated the great selection of imaginative vegetarian mains instead of just the usual vegetable side dishes made main course size. Vegetables were fresh and chunky and it was all delicious. Great value for money too. Will be our 'go to' from now on. Also, dishes come in foil trays with paper lids rather than plastic containers, another plus 👍

No mint sauce for starter or main and one small salad pot for 3 dishes. Sheek Kerab looked horrible and the chicken tikka was overcooked. Will not order from them again

the chicken was hard, the sause had no flavor to it, it was just like eating vinegar. Wouldn't recommend. I only had this because the better place wasn't taking orders atm

Just had our first curry from Zak’s kitchen. We haven’t lived in Weston for long. Definitely good food but shame they forgot to put in the rice. But that’s not going to stop me ordering again, nice food and arrived on time .

I’ve eaten in Zak’s many times and it’s always been excellent. Sadly the delivery experience wasn’t so good. Most of the food was lukewarm. Chicken tikka main consisted of 4 small chunks and a slither of onion. Zak’s offered a free dish next time.

Food good but delivery time awful. Ordered at 17:50. Was meant to be delivered 19:20. Finally turned up 20:25.

Took well over an hour, food was tepid, quality was poor - two pieces of chicken does not make up a mixed grill! Also delivered the wrong naan bread. Very disappointing from a usually outstanding restaurant.

Absolutely delicious food. Not much meat in our naan bread but all in all it was all delicious. Would definitely order from here again.

What a fantastic Indian restaurant! It is by far the best Indian meal I've ever eaten!!( and I'm 58!) The service was faultless. But it was fairly early in the evening, so was quiet. If only I'd discovered it at the beginning of my little holiday and not the last.

Excellent food very well presented (see the picture of the samosas). Spacious, busy restaurant, bring your own bottle with no corkage fee. A short walk from the sea front, somewhat South of the town centre.

Cold food, salad was brownish and limp. Nan bread cold and uncooked. Main meals not very tasty, a waste of £40 ended up in the bin.

Came down for a couple of days from Birmingham and found a diamond of a curry house. Absolutely brilliant. Will definitely go there again. The service we received from Ali could not have been any better. Everything was perfect, the food, the service and the cleanliness. Can not fault it in any way.

Great food but extremely disappointed with how late our order was! I had to chase restaurant and suddenly our delivery time went from 7:20pm to 7:40pm when I chased at 7:33pm! very disappointing and will have to consider whether we order from them again to be honest!

When ordering delivery time 60-80 minutes, once ordered it was estimated at 80-100 Didn’t arrive after 105 mins so messaged and then changed to another 35 mins despite it saying on the tracking it was on its way! Ordered 6:14pm, arrived 8:43pm!

very poor quality curry’s, pathia was just a basic curry with red food colouring in it, dhansak was a bhuna with a few lentils in it chicken tikka was cubes with red food colouring wont be ordering again , buyers beware

The food is top notch, but if it arrives on time is another story. I dont mind waiting, but when I come to collect my food at the time stated, I don't expect to arrive just to sit and wait for an extra 25 mins. I also didn't appreciate the attitude over the phone. Ask one question about your order and you're suddenly made to feel like you're wasting their time. But the food is very good.

I’ve ordered from Zaks many times and this is the first disappointing one. I received a wrong item (so no rice!), no salad with starter, plus half of the chicken tikka was gristly. Even the poppadoms were greasy! The food was lukewarm, and I wouldn’t mind so much if the everything else was good.

Food was nice, I'd give it another shot. Don't serve alcohol but you can take your own in.

Placed order at 8pm on a Saturday night to be told it would be half an hour and agreed to this, rang up at 9pm to be told food was already out for delivery, a mother half hour had past still no delivery, rang up again to be told food was just getting packed up and would be the next order to leave, when I said I was told it would be 8:30 I was told that it was me that must have got this information wrong, shocking!!!!! Don’t order from here, or do but ring up the day before. Absolutely dreadful, they need to give their heads a wobble.

I'm in Weston-super-Mare for the weekend with my sis and decided to order a delivery from Zaks' kitchen. Oh my goodness I'm so glad we stumbled across this gem of an eatery. We ordered a delivery and I can honestly say it was the most delicious Indian food I've ever eaten. The service was excellent and I will definitely order from here whenever I'm back in the area. Had a takeaway sensory overload, spices unbelievable, tastebud explosion absolutely delicious, very good value for money will definitely order again would highly recommend 5 +++++

I do not like leaving poor reviews however on this occasion I have to. The plus - Plenty of food, the poppadoms with the onions etc were lovely. The meat portions on the dishes I ordered were plentiful. The rice dish was lovely as was the Potato dish. So what went wrong? I ordered Lamb Tikka Masala and to ensure there was enough meat, I ordered a separate dish of Lamb Tikka. I have to say, the Lamb was AWFUL. It was the most driest, toughest meat I have ever had. I tried to persevere chewing away at it, however it was just too tough. Considering the price, the quality was just not there. Tough as old boots comes to mind. Every piece of Lamb was totally inedible and I ended up throwing it away. I will order again from here, the same dish but chicken not Lamb!

Indian food is something I shy away from after some bad experiences ,but the meal I had was excellent

Food was great but we waited 2.5 hours! I phoned 1.5 hours after ordering to be told it was on its way. It was then a further 1 hour before it arrive. Clearly they had forgotten our order, cooked it after I called and then delivered it asap. Frustrating as such great food!

Ordered lamb biryani, we all enjoyed it immensely. freshly cooked & piping hot. delivery time was on the dot.

No alcohol is served but you can take your own. We did seem to wait a while to be served but the food was amazing. It was busy and loud but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The food is all freshly cooked, it's not a place to go for a quick meal as its a very relaxed atmosphere but we had a nice evening.

Went here for Father’s Day. Will never go again! Fantastic restaurant when it was in Worle and we were regulars. Had to wait 1 1/2 hours for our starters to come out so we left before our mains. We’re told numerous times food was on its way. When we left , we were told it was because they were busy because of takeaway orders! Surely you look after your restaurant business first. A real let for our table of 6 especially for my 84 year old father.

Ordered a delivery for the first time since Zaks moved to Whitecross Road . The food arrived in good time and was hot. It was all well cooked but a little sweet for my taste. Could have also been a tiny bit spicier too. Prices are the same as other Indian take aways. Good selection of dishes available on their menu.

On a recommendation from neighbour, took their advice and ordered a small meal last night for a delivery out to the outskirts of Bleadon and Weston. Result: excellent - so pleased with it, definitely the best home delivered meal ever!

Highly recommended! Amazing authentic indian food. Great choice of dishes on the menu menu . Great portions with extra side dishes if required. New venue, only been open 4 months. It's a little away from Weston-Super-Mare city centre, but well worth it. It's tucked in a sort of residential area, 5 mins drive from city centre, 10 mins walk from the station, 6 mins from the beach. Atmosphere was a little quiet at times with the music not loud enough to drown out other people talking, it's a long venue, currently with limited decor. But evolving. I will definitely go again and look forward to the decorations and food. Service was good, and you can bring your own alcohol.
