The best restaurants in Ilfracombe Central North Devon South West

Stumbled across the cafe when we arrived in Ilfracombe and needed coffee. Quaint and characterful and clearly has it's regular customers. Coffee was good and hot but the homemade Eccles cake was amazing! The other treats looked good too. Coming across The Naked Cake cafe was the best thing about Ilfracombe which was otherwise, tatty and very down at heel.

I am coeliac and have to eat gluten free so I had looked online to find the Pasty Bakehouse. My pasty was lovely and the pastry was amazing.

First time been in here since the new ownership! we stayed and my friend sang on karoke. Friendly staff and relaxing pub.

We went on a hunt for icecream and stumbled across this brightly decorated cafe and just had to go in! My son and I chose milkshakes and my husband had a huge freakshake. It looked incredible! There are also paninis, baguettes and jacket potatoes on offer if you wanted to pop in for lunch and a massive selection of retro sweets to buy and take home. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!

We stopped here for lunch. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the cafe had a really good vibe. The food was delicious and very well presented. The satay chicken sandwich with Mexican salsa, avocado and cheese was delicious and came with crisps and salad. We also asked for a plain sandwich with no extras which was made off menu and equally delicious. Coffee was also very good. This cafe is highly recommended when in town.

We both ordered a lobster salad and shared prawns and crayfish. They are all magnificent. Simply the best seafood!

Starters cold , main mega spicy and lots of raw onions ,service good but even though quiet and language barrier, nice rice, fresh nann , it won't be a retun to for us

We enjoyed our meals here. The servers were welcoming and pleasant. Very good portions we struggled and didn’t manage to finish all our meals.

Top notch food, if you have the patience to wait to be served. Very poorly managed chippy, with great food. You'll wait to be served after the person in front of you receives their food. This place could make 3x the business if they took your order whilst you're waiting! It was so frustrating, I'd be so disappointed if I were the owner.

Nice little spot to stop and have lunch. Dog friendly and homely feel in the garden. There are plenty of small cheeky birds looking for crumbs and just a nice atmosphere all around. The menu is basic and affordable, and the welcome was a warm one. Overall, a nice spot for lunch.

Had food from here delivered twice whilst we were staying in Hele Bay last week. Absolutely delicious, both times.

Quite empty tbh and although service was excellent, just felt like a motorway service station

The pub and staff are a credit to the manager.

After have a walk around the harbour we decided to pop in for lunch The food served was delicious The staff really helpful and polite Food ,freshly cooked
