Top notch food, if you have the patience to wait to be served. Very poorly managed chippy, with great food. You'll wait to be served after the person in front of you receives their food. This place could make 3x the business if they took your order whilst you're waiting! It was so frustrating, I'd be so disappointed if I were the owner.

So fresh, so good and served with great service. They even gave our dog a sausage on the house! Definitely worth a visit, you won't be disappointed!

Food was average, service was pants. Soon as we inquired about gluten free, the waitresses face dropped. Was told there would be no table service, which we didn’t mind in the least. Weirdly though, all other tables had table service. For a seaside town chippy, one would expect a little more enthusiasm.

Visit this place while on holiday by the sea. Such a shame the food and customer service was not up to standards really poor. Rude staff. Being by the sea fish and chips should be a massive hit. Waste of money. Needs massive improvement.

Best fish and chips we had in Ilfracombe. Ordered plaice which was super fresh and well cooked. Portions were large and really good value.

Had a great experience. Great service from the staff. And the fish and chips were lovely. Crispy batter, chips were really tasty. Would definitely recommend and retun.

I believe in giving credit where credit is due. The girls running this place are doing an excellent job. The gluten-free option offered to me was the best I've ever had from a fish and chip shop.

A lovely place to come on a cold December lunch time, really friendly and welcoming staff and allowed dogs on leads. The food was brilliant with some of the best chippy chips I’ve had in ages, as well as battered sausage and nuggets- as well as an amazing battered mars bar, something we don’t get very often near where we live so made a great holiday treat

During our holiday we both ate in and had food to take away. The quality of the food is good but when we ate in it felt like the floors needed a mop as they were quite slippy leading to a sensation that perhaps they were greasy. That could simply be a perception but as I say the food was good.

Soggy and chewy fish!! Restaurant was shut so we had to eat outside with the seagulls.

No wonder Dolly’s cafe was full and this place empty! Rude staff, like they didn’t want to serve us at all. After waiting 10mins for them to clear a table they started to slowly fill in the sauce dispensers one by one and not offer us a table despite the tables being clear and the place empty. Glad I took the decision to walk to Dolly’s where the food is much cheaper!

Probably the best fish most of us have ever had before. Chips were good but fish and batter were phenomenal.

Popped in for lunch on a Sunday. Plenty of seats available,clean and tidy. Wonderful, freshly cooked food,delicious. Would definitely recommend. Have visited a few times and will be back.

Stopped by while in Ilfracombe. Not dissapointed, fish was delicious and the chips were cooked to perfection. Easily one of the best portions of Fish & Chips I have had.

Freshly cooked, good quality food, in sizeable portions served by lovely staff, at an affordable price!!!! Cannot recommend more! Such lovely takeaway boxes too!! Don't forget to grab your classic wooden chip forks!! Edit: I went back again, and it wasn't a fluke. Lovely place, lovely staff, lovely food.

it was just extremely average, there's definitely better around. the fish was really nice but was ruined by the chips. they tasted and had the texture of cardboard. I'd still recommend it though but maybe try a different side instead of chips :)

Fitted eight of us on a wet Tuesday, friendly and welcoming staff, food cooked fresh to order, everyone should try the pea fritter. Fish was lovely in a light batter can recommend the haddock, will definitely be using this restaurant again.

Husband just picked up chips for dinner here and bought them back to the campsite and they are absolutely disgusting! Not cooked and greasy chips. Avoid!!

Excellent fish and chips but what a shame they don't do cheaper, smaller portions in these times of low fish stocks and high inflation.

I thought it was a bit pricey when I looked at the menu, I chose the fisherman special, it was gorgeous and cooked to perfection 👍 PS you don't need bread and butter . I love cod chips and mushy peas ,I travel all over the UK on caravan hols and this chippy is definitely TOP of the list .

A little gem of a place! Stopped for a fish and chip supper on our day trip to Ifracombe 12.10.21. Great setting, friendly and attentive staff, simple fare, cooked to perfection. Really reasonably priced, clean and welcoming. Lots of happy customers leaving absolutely stuffed! Would definitely recommend.

Excellent food, huge cod fillet, beautifully cooked, delicious scampi, covid regulations in place, hand sanitising on entry, track and trace system in operation, very clean premise.treat yourself to wonderful fish n chips.(varied menu also).

Visited today with my family and I have to say the food was outstanding, batter on the fish was perfect, not greasy, very fresh fish, the portion size was huge, fantastic value for money, staff were great, 5 Stars Plus

Amazing! Best chips I’ve ever had from a chip shop. They were so crisp and yet fluffy on the inside. The fish was crisp and the chicken nuggets were delicious! Highly recommend.

Pie was ok, someone needs to retrain on how to cook chips, truly dreadful.

Completely ignored by staff for well over 5 minutes despite it not being that busy. Rude. I won't be trying there again. Maddy's a couple of minutes walk away were far friendlier, the food was good & it was cheaper.

Best fish and chips we have had in a long time. They even grilled our friends fish as she can't have the batter and it was delicious. Very good value and lovely bonus a pot of tea too.

Some of the best fish and chips we've had for a while but don't expect speedy or enthusiastic service, probably worth the wait though. Second visit, young lads were still there but a lady in charge of serving, still great fish and chips but good service as well.

Food is freshly cooked and staff are very friendly and helpful. Wide range of food available. Dogs are welcome.

OK fish and chip shop/restaurant, good location, but there are better in Ilfracombe.

Fresh and tasty well worth a visit

On busy times be prepared to wait, not too long. Once seated you browse through the menu and within no time your order is taken. Everything is prepared to order so don't tuck too quick, even the gulls on the takeaway would think twice. Staff are warm and friendly and the service too. If you are a fish lover, I would recommend the Fisherman's meal deal, a choice of Cod or Haddock, chips, mushy peas and a pot of tea. All other meals are served with chips. Can't wait for next time.

One star is a generous score, having stood in the queue for well over forty minutes, the chips were actually rather mediocre. The fact that there were six people working made absolutely no difference to the speed of service

Been here twice now, second time was for the great food and also to be served by the awesome staff, I thought the first time was maybe a fluke , but no! service was second to none, nothing was too much trouble for them, always a smile and friendly welcome. False advertising with there products. They got our order wrong then blamed us for the error even though a random customer confirmed she heard my order and they got it wrong not me. We were greeted with rude unapologetic staff which were more confrontational than help full. Wouldnt dare go here again!!
