Lovely delicious carvery and happy staff

What a fantastic pub! On holiday and staying close by. Great beer. Good selection of ales. Excellent Guinness. Really friendly bar staff and locals. Pool, 4 dart boards, skittles, dominoes, cards.... Music was also superb! Highly recommended.

The carvery was excellent and if we are in the area again we will definitely come back.

Real traditional pub, sports if you want it, if not sit and chat to the locals.

Always a great atmosphere and I love to watch the Football here with friends. Chris and Kim and all the staff are very welcoming and friendly. They also do a very nice carvery on a Sunday 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Truly wonderful home style cooked Vegan roast, they made a beautiful cranberry & nut loaf with roasted pumkin seeds on top, crispy roast potatoes, roast parsnips, roast sweet potato chunks with fresh spinach, peas & vegan gravy all cooked to perfection.Well done guys n gals! That's not all, they had 3 vegan pudding options, one being apple pie, the other a chocolate caramel tart also vanilla icecream which I had, totally divine! Thankyou so much, highly recommend@

We had a Sunday carvery here, it was fantastic. The staff are very friendly and they serve a good choice of real ales.

It was Green Man Festival day in Pilton when we went. Great atmosphere, lots of joviality, beer same price in all the bars in the village. Staff did really well with the crowds.

Still has that old pub feel with out appearing run down. Service was friendly and attentive.

The staff are all lovely, and the food was amazing. Definitely recommend the carvery 😁

For the first time going in there just for the entertainment of my twin boys thay loved it being able to run free with out all the punters being in same room as them that's how pubs should be have seperate room when comeing to family's with children 😀 will defo gonin again

Attended an engagement party here recently. Over £7.00 for a pint and a glass of what was classed as wine! The 3 oval disposable trays of dried up curled over sandwiches were not even mediocre, cold bland sausage rolls, and some kind of cold bland fried chicken was disgusting. No garnish of any description, no sauce, mayo or mustard not even Salt or Pepper! To cap the whole event the DJ was playing so called music that neither the young or old related to. LEAVE THIS PLACE ALONE. I have been in catering all my life and would never charge £200.00 for a few dried out sandwiches and whatever else they class as food. Even at trade prices £75.00 I would have made a good profit. Worth mentioning is the fact that at the end of the evening which was attended by approx 60 pax nearly all the food was still on the miserably presented table. I think that says it all.
