First time for the carvery today ,food was absolutely delicious, the staff are very helpful and friendly nothing to much trouble, will definitely be returning 😀

Wonderful food and quite possibly the best chai latte I've ever had! The portion sizes are famous for being huge and they didn't disappoint again. It's so nice having this gem on my doorstep.

We've been to the pub every now and then for a long, long time. Wonderful lunch yesterday. Steak and kidney pudding. Good chips and lovely veg'. Also a huge fish and chips. Nice cod. A roaring fire and a pint or two. Excellent.

Great little bakery, pasties are really good and the staff friendly and helpful.

We booked a Christmas Lunch. Food was amazing and we could not fault it. The cook has done a great job with it. Unfortunately the service let us down. It took nearly 3h for our 3 course meal to be delivered. We felt we were forgotten as dishes on nearby tables were served promptly. We ordered some drinks midway for our dinner, and those would never have arrived if we wouldn't have asked for it after about 20 min. The Christmas Pudding came with melted ice-cream which proved the point that food sat in the kitchen for ages before it arrived at our table. We were patient as it was a Christmas Day, but otherwise we would not put up with it. The payment was painful as the bartender could not add up the bill correctly. We left slightly disappointed.

Nice looking restaurant, went in with my partner we got two pancakes and two milkshakes and came to almost £40. The owners child was running around with one sock on. I saw a man (I’m guessing it was her dad) wipe her nose with a green cloth and then I saw the women who was making our milkshakes wipe the glass with the same cloth. Their dog was also going up to other customers sat there begging whilst they were eating.

Do not order food from the pub. Ordered a chicken dish and it came slimy and pink on the inside. Not helpful at all when it came to a refund.

Absolutely fantastic lunch and an amazing friendly service. Such a great menu - I could have chosen so many things. I also think these guys are spot on with their prices. We will be back very soon.

The food was abysmal, my steak was inedible, the menu said 'chips in skins' they were not, they were oven chips. The peas were like bullets. The kids meal was pizza, but was in fact a baguette with cheese and tomato. It was so hard on the bottom it could not be eaten. The toilets were dirty. Not going back.

Misleading description of the location. This establishment is not in Penryn, which is approximately 3 to 4 miles away on the A394 toward Falmouth. This is a fairly fast single carriageway road which is not a safe walk and without pavements/ footpaths for the majority , if you are thinking about it, think again or get a Taxi if you are going to have a drink.

We were expecting to celebrate New Year's Eve 2025, but we left after 90 minutes without any food. There were not enough staff in the kitchen, on the bar, or waiting at tables. We were not the only people experiencing delays. Nobody gave us an explanation for the delays, or an apology. We did get our money back.

Daughter went in Praze chippy for a snack chips fryit and curry sauce fryit was fine and curry sauce ... Chips were awful as usual . Gordie please clean your fat Scape the pans wash em out...boil hot soapy water in them. Cook the chips to order. Jobs a gooden. People don't want to have chipss that are cooked in dirty fat .. if you take my advice you will soon get more customers
