Tucked away in the back lanes of Cornwall, this is an eclectic and vibrant venue for lunch. I can see that during tourist seasons, it’s essential to book to ensure you’ll get a table but Slice was able to accommodate our walk-in even though it was busy. Brilliant food with an excellent mix of veggie and meat-based options. I wasn’t able to do my main course full justice due to my limited ability to eat due to cancer recovery. Despite my pleas not to, the team insisted on deducting the cost of my main course from the bill - a hugely generous and empathetic gesture, and a sign of just how friendly and welcoming the Slice team is. So a very big thankyou to all the folks at Slice and I’ll definitely be back to scoff a full lunch when I’m fully recovered.

So it was very quiet when we went so only 3 stars for the atmosphere. Although it said on their website cavery Wednesdays and Sundays, sadly they don't. However, they did a platted roast for my wife with loads of turkey, so she was happy. The waitress also seated us by the window with lovely fairy lights round it so very romantic. Wish i found this place sooner.

We visited this place for the first time on our way to Cornwall on a road trip, and our experience was good. It is a very nice little place with a nice sitting area outside and animals. It is not a very typical place that you expect to find on the side of the road. It is a little bit pricey, but once there, the food was very good and tasty. My partner and I ordered "the ridiculous share" for £19.50. It was a big portion and enough for two. We both enjoyed it. We would come back for sure. Dog friendly but they have to be good with other dogs, because there is a loose dog on the premises. #travelwithtentbox

Well what a jewel for the beautiful village of Praze the staff and owner could have done no more for me, as I had my works vehicle which is a 14.5 mtr coach and as soon as they saw me pull up they were out like a shot to help me park. Then I went inside and had a pleasant surprise they shown me to my room very nice just one thing I will say you don’t need the shampoos or bath gel they always end up in the wash bags. But quite exceptional I was even offered a carvery because I was away early in the morning so no breakfast, I’ll certainly be back and stay room 2 really comfortable thank you. You’re a little jewel. Awful place. Terrible smell on entering- should have turned around right then. Asked about the set menu that they advertise on their website and the waitress had no idea what o was talking about. She also had no idea whether the louisiana burger was chicken or not and didn't offer to find out. Kids margherita pizza was in fact melted cheese and a tomato sauce on baguette. The Korean burger tasted of nothing and the Asian slaw was a spoonful of coarsely chopped red onion and yellow pepper shoved in the bottom of my burger. Husbands steak and ale pie looked like it needed a blood transfusion it was so anaemic looking. The toilet smelled like an overflowing nappy bin. Overall, a disappointing last night of our holiday. The website looks decent- very misleading.

Be wary of booking a table here on a Saturday evening as the service is very poor. We had a party of 4 and pre booked a table a week in advance. After traveling for 9 hours we thought it would be nice to go for a meal and a well deserved drink on the evening. However after placing our order it took an hour for the food to arrive at our table. On top of that, one of our party ordered Mussels and after eating a frew of them found that they were off. Thankfully the person in question was fine but disappointed not to get a descent meal after a long day. They did knock the dish of the bill and gave a complimentary desert as an apology. Not the start to a holiday that you want.
