We got a cuppa and the cream day takeaway for the train journey. Both great - even had oat milk! Lovely staff. Would have been fun to sit in but we had two small ones in tow who wouldn’t have played ball. Well worth a visit.

An excellent cafe just next to the ticket office. We were so delighted to have the fancy looking and exquisitely tasty dessert. What we really appreciated is their lovely hospitality. In fact, the dessert is not in the menu but just found in the google review 😂, they promised to reproduce it and they really did it! An amazing job! The weather was a bit chilly and rainy, but we had a heartwarming day at Helston railway. Thanks for all the staff, especially for those who volunteer to serve there.

What an absolute gem this Cornish Carriages Buffet is. We went today with Helston WI for afternoon tea. Wonderful food, the staff are amazing, and so attentive, and a fantastic atmosphere. This is is our second visit and hopefully we will do it again very soon. A total delight

Wonderful afternoon tea, great food, service and value in great surroundings on board an old train carriage in the sidings at Helston Station. Lots more on offer including Sunday lunch which also looked lovely. Will return

The food was amazing! All very well presented and delicious. Also loved how quirky the carriages are - a very unique experience (felt like stepping back in time). Have already recommended to a few people and will continue to do so! Will be back again for sure!

We went for a full english fry up breakfast and picked the 1st class, aptly named we enjoyed all the elements that made up the breakfast especially the sausages, hogs pudding and mushrooms!! reasonably priced, in a very retro setting of a now out of service train carriage, a cool addition to any meal lol! not a stones throw from Helston and well worth a visit! :)

I enjoyed the best meal of our two-week trip to England at Da Kona. The fish was fantastic, as were the side dishes and the sauce was surprising and very tasty. Definitely a recommendation!

Went to an impromptu gig by the great singer song writer, Roo Panes, after his original gig (at The Minack Theatre), was cancelled. The Crumb was a great venue, a little small...or intimate sounds better, but Roo and band performed amazingly and it was a treat for those that travelled a long way to see him. Thanks to the Crumb for hosting.
