The best restaurants in Mevagissey Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

We come here for years, very friendly staff and perfect cappuccino and cakes! Just a few minutes away from Pentewan beach and beautiful walk at Pentewan Valley!

Not many places I’d describe as exceptional, but this restaurant truly is. The food is outstanding, as is the service. Been there a few times and will keep on returning. My fellow diners were of the same opinion, every dish was delicious. Thanks to Pey and the team for another wonderful experience

Fabulous find! I was hankering for a traditional Cornish scone! And wasn’t disappointed! Freshly made and light - with gorgeous latte too - lovely owners and their little dog! So friendly and cosy - will be back for lunch too!

Clearly an independent local business. Top grade food, sandwich made to order, with a friendly chat while doing so. Definitely a business to support.

Friendly polite young lad serving. Can recommend the black cherry ice cream. Good portion sizes but a bit pricey. To be expected I suppose as right on the harbour front.

We've been here twice so far this week! It's in a fabulous position with tables overlooking the harbour. A perfect place to enjoy a perfect cup of tea!

These guys know how to serve good food. Lamb flatbread was delightful, with plenty of salad & flavour, alongside friendly conversation. Wholeheartedly recommend and good luck to them going forward!

Had a crispy bacon and scrambled egg roll after a walk to Porthgwarra - delicious! Best scrambled egg ever and friendly charming service. Highly recommended.

What an absolutely uniquely pleasant experience! My partner and I went for some coffee and a bagel for her birthday with our dog, Tide, and just wow - what service! They had a quaint little ‘canine corner’ with a fresh little dog bed (towels and blankets supplied as well for wet pups!) and they even had a wall filled with pictures of every other canine guest that has been there before 🥹 The coffee was sublime and the bagels were honestly the most delicious thing we had ever eaten before. The staff/owners were utterly lovely and so polite and tentative to us, and they adored Tide (he was relishing the attention😂) Catering to all dietary requirements (my partner and I are vegetarian), this amazing little cafe is truly one of a kind! Immediately upon entry we were asked about dietary or allergy requirements, which just proves their commitment to their patrons and shows a level of care in their establishment that is truly rare these days. We cannot recommend this place enough and will 100000% be visiting whenever is possible!

BEST. HOTDOGS. IN. THE. UNIVERSE. The amazing, very friendly guys running this place, kindly served me the best hotdog I've ever had, last year when we were on holiday down here. They said they only had large one's left, so that's what I bought. I ate it as I walked around the port with my wife & daughter, and I was immensely happy. I wanted to purchase another one on the way out, just out of sheer greed! It's worth the long drive to Cornwall from Yorkshire, to visit this gem of a place. We are visiting again this lunchtime, & I am so excited. Please Lord, let it be open... I don't ask for much in life. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 (If it is closed for whatever reason, I will literally break down & cry right there n then.)

Excellent food, beautifully presented. Initially we were not sure about the small plate concept but it was just perfect. Four plates each with a very nice bottle of wine made for a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Although we are not vegetarian the Korean cauliflower was a particular favorite. The staff were friendly, engaging and knowledgeable and the table service perfectly timed. The new owners have set a very high standard and dining here is thoroughly recommended.

The service was impeccable; the staff are welcoming, attentive, and clearly take great pride in what they do. It’s also dog-friendly, which is a huge plus! Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this café is a must-visit. A truly wonderful experience – I can’t wait to go back! Five stars all the way.
