I cannot rate this tea room highly enough. We received a very warm welcome and settled on a cream tea. The scones were warm and there was plentiful cream and homemade jam. Delicious! They support the local community bus so I’d encourage you to buy a book from the second hand book shelf in the tea room.

We were given info on booking re the Azure Restaurant. We booked for dinner this evening whilst on our way out to Truro today. Whilst in Truro we saw the Italian Kitchen Stall, the quality, the energy and we we're so pleased that we had booked. . On arrival we were met by a lovely lady called Becky, very gentle yet passionate and professional (quite a balance) she captured it. Becky was an absolute ambassador for Azure and all it stands for, supporting quality local chefs selling their cuisine, locals and holiday makers alike. Hugo came out and chatted and just wow, what a lovely guy! I grew up with a very professional and renowned Italian family of restaurantuers and this guy Hugo! Second to none! Also me being Vegan the menu hit all palates whilst staying quality! Fresh, tasty and just sooo good!! Oh. . And... Finally.... since being vegan I haven't eaten a Tiramsu ~ This was THE BEST!!! AND you get get hone delivery!! Well done you lovely lot! With love, Lisa & Rich 🌻👌 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Given the slope of the garden, and drinks food etc. having to be brought to the table (COVID rules) - the staff really must be very fit. Service good. Simple pub menu, and pub grub - but the fish and chips were amazing.

Lovely friendly pub in a beautiful spot overlooking the river, conveniently located at the end of the Bissoe Trail, so excellent for cyclists and walkers. Sunday roast was hot and tasty, with great Yorkshires and buttery roasties. Had a pint of Potion No9, which was well kept and good. Will definitely be back.

Food nicely served, good menu but a bit pricey. Had breakfast in a near by supermarket the next day, £10 cheaper. Would use this care for a cup of tea but not a meal.

Stopped here for lunch while visiting the garden centre on a bank holiday and it was terrible. Everything was so expensive- we spent £30 on two coffees, a jacket potato and disgusting “nacho’s” that were just cheap tortilla chips covered with cheddar cheese. I even found a piece of metal wire in my jacket potato which I luckily didn’t swallow. I alerted a member of staff about it to ensure no one else had the same and she did apologise. All cake slices are £4.99 and even the staff member serving raised their eyebrows looking shocked when their colleague told them prices had gone up. We ordered one and it was very average- not worth it. It was a bank holiday so it was understandably busy but staff were definitely overwhelmed with a massive queue and only one poor lady waiting and clearing tables. She coped well but I felt sorry for her. Only good thing is that it’s dog friendly. Overall, an awful lunch. If you want a garden centre with a nice cafe I’d recommend driving an extra 10 minutes out to Chacewater instead.
