Ordered and paid for a coffee and waited twenty minutes and still didn’t get my coffee, service seemed slow and disorganised, eventually asked for my money back. It’s a shame because we really like this cafe although a bit pricey.

If you like being served by surly waiting staff, told no they don't have WIFI when clearly they do, and hearing the staff f'ing and blinding when kids, overly priced poor coffee are around then great, this is the place for you. Service in Cornwall leaves a LOT to be desired. Still, they hate "emmets' so I am sure they will soon get their wish as people fall out of love with this rainy ole place and go elsewhere for their holidays.

Two years of Covid-19 restrictions, not being allowed to enter the cafe or sit in the garden has been sorely missed but it's back with a bang! Run by an amazing mother & daughter team this year, it's reached new heights, with freshly made food, and out-of-this-world homemade cakes, if you visit regularly expect to add a few inches to your waistline. You have to keep in mind this is a small beachside cafe/restaurant with a small kitchen and can't offer endless menu choices, it's not a Michelin 5-star, do that and I am sure you will be delighted. A word of warning though, arrive early on sunny weekends or be prepared to walk the 5mins walk down the hill from the village because the carpark will be full by 10 am. Enjoy the ambiance of sitting in the garden and watching boats sailing, families kayaking, paddle-boarding, or playing in the water, or just sit quietly inside this peaceful cafe, whilst drinking a coffee, eating breakfast or lunch, or just indulge yourself with one of the amazing homemade cakes I dare you! This weekend I visited twice, had my lattes, and could not resist the mouth-watering look of a freshly made Strawberry and Blueberry pavlova, it was so nice I just had to compliment the chef on her baking after I had eaten it. Whilst I was there another customer walked back into the cafe, just to compliment the chef on her Walnut and Cinnamon cake so it's not just me who enjoys the delights of the home made cakes. If you are lucky, you maybe be able to get a booking for their fish n chips night (every other Friday) but be warned they are fully booked a month in advance throughout the summer season I am going back for more, this week and every week until the cafe is closed for the winter, you should come and try it (not on a Monday though as the cafe is closed), I don't think you will be disappointed if you do, I never am!

We walked here from Penpol and it made for a nice stop. The food was good, we both had ham and cheese panini which was nice. It's a little on the steep side in terms of price, bit I guess that's the cost of living. Also, I ordered cheesy chips, and got a bag of grated cheese and a separate bag of chips. Bit odd, but I need not have worried as the meals came with plenty of fries.

The staff were friendly, and helpful and had time to have some banter with all those that attended the cafe. The rowers have all complimented the event and the well run cafe, their food and drinks. Couldn’t falter this place, they were very accommodating; the staff allowed us to bring and serve our own cake and waited on us hand and foot. We attended as an extended family in three cars mainly for the water sports centre. However us mums & dad used this cafe as a bolt hole and for lunch it’s set in one of the beautiful Cornish sea front locations with both rolling countryside and blue sea as a backdrop. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was cooked fresh and appeared to be local, with some of the best ‘skin on’ chips I’ve had in a long time. The tuna melt had loads of cheese and tuna in it... good to see as been to plenty of establishments where they severely scrimp on the filling. Nice range of drinks including locally sourced coffee, elderflower presse. Would highly recommend the cafe as a place to visit! It’s not the cheapest place about but well worth it good food in a relaxed and beautiful environment. Just be aware it’s at the bottom of a very steep hill!

Once again enjoyed Loe Beach Cafe's incredible fish and chips last night. Fish fresh of the boat that day and hand cooked to order alongside delicious chips and pea sprouts as a brilliant twist to the classic mushy pea side. The vegan in our party was well catered for with a beautifully presented fresh salad which showed the care and attention typical of the lovely staff. It is so clear that anyone who makes dietary requests know to the staff will be well catered for, and the vegan of our party was immediately offered milk alternatives for their coffee. A special place run by special people who go above and beyond in every aspect. My unreserved recommendation to all.

Have given it five stars for food quality and servive. If high quality food, good service while sat by the sea is your thing, then it is great. But, only open for Fish n Chips on a Friday, you cannot always get a booking due to justified popularity, it will probably close in the winter. Suggest taking advantage when you can. Probably should have given 1 star to increase the chance of a table on future Friday nights.

After visiting Trellisick gardens we were pondering where to go next when we seen a sign for Loe Beach and decided to take a look. we parked up in the small car park which is part of the working boatyard and sailing centre and made our way to the beach cafe for a coffee.Whilst waiting for our drinks to be made (from a proper machine) we got chatting to the young girls that were serving and found out that they had only taken over the cafe about 6 week's previously. the coffee was great and the girls really friendly and made us feel really welcome. on this day there were only a few people about probably due to the day being overcast. The next day with the sun beating down we decided to return and found that the beach was busy with lots of water sports going on, we again went to the cafe and ordered drinks and a snack, i had a ham sandwich and believe me i doubt if you have had ham this good before, and the fruit cake was great (made by mum we were told). The cafe is a really querky building with lots of charecter, the menu is small but still under development. in total we visited 3 days on the trott and used the cafe each day for both food and drinks and we were not disappointed with anything we purchased there. good quality tasty food well presented in a pleasant surrounding what more could you ask for. keep up the good work girls we will be back.

Just got back from another wonderful holiday in Feock, we have tried the cafe before and were pleased with the food, this time we thought we would breakfast there before heading back home at the end of our holiday and enquired about an english breakfast for the following morning, the lady said they didn't do breakfast as such but did breakfast rolls, a bit disappointed we returned to the beach with our dog for him to enjoy retrieve the ball from the sea, as a retriever you would think he would do this sadly not, frustrated to see another ball float away and still disappointed at the thought of no full English before we go home we were pleasantly surprised when the cafe lady hopped on the beach beside us " you were asking about an English breakfast" yes I said, she went on to explain she had only taken over the cafe 5 weeks ago and was still working out what people would want, she wants to use all local produce and is still finding her feet, " I don't see why I couldn't make you an English breakfast I have all the ingredients and have just picked up local sausages it wouldn't be a problem. The next morning 5 of us went in and had such a lovely personal service and a great Breakfast loads of toast bacon, eggs, sausage tomato and fried bread topped off with a lovely cup of coffee with locally roasted beans at less than £10pp wow now thats what I call service.Thank you very much Loe beach cafe you ended our holiday in style see you in Sept on our return.

Loe Beach Café is looking very nice, the gravel is weeded, the seating is new and comfortable, the whole place has been spruced up. Better still, the cafe now boasts a selection of simple, tasty dishes plus a good selection of drinks and ice-creams. The coffee is well prepared and tastes goo too. I live locally and I am so pleased to see the place full of people as it was when we visited last weekend. The Loe Beach team are all very friendly and helpful and I am sure could sell some more adventurous food at weekends; perhaps some BBQ in the summer?

How lovely would it be to have a cafe on such a great located spot and the potential it could have!We visit Loe beach many times , mainly for the Watersports. The other day we decided we would have a bite to eat here. To cut a long story short they stop serving lunch at 2 pm to then to be only serving ice creams, cake and drinks. We came at 3 mins past 2 so to our disappointment we couldn't even get a sandwich. What really got to me what the attitude of the young girls who work there. Constantly on their phones to the degree to which I had to walk up to her to ask for a menu and she still was looking down on her phone whilst in a couldn't care attitude told me No Lunch now available. I answered with disappointment and her reply was , it's not my business!Shocking service!Does the owner not realise what a fantastic little business could be created here with the right staff and a menu that could serve simple but good snacks all day long?

What can I say ... such a shame! Staff not very welcoming, menu poor, opening hours variable, ice creams WAY OVER PRICED. £2.50 for small one scoop ice cream on kids wafer cone? Has such amazing potential but disappointing.

I would rate this as one of the nicest beach-side cafes I have visited. It's right next to Loe Beach Watersports (also worth a visit), so there's always plenty going on to the watch the world go by. Food is great. Coffee is good. Staff very friendly. Tables inside and out. Perfect.

On a recent visit to Cornwall for a wedding we decided to have brunch at Loe Beach Cafe. It's a lovely location and we were looking forward to some nice food. The place was very busy with hardly any spare tables and chairs. There was 1 girl working behind the till who was clearly struggling to cope. We joined the back of the queue, there must have been 7 people in font of us.We queued for approx 20 mins, and asked if it was still possible to order an English breakfast. The Chef came out of the kitchen to say that it was fine, so we paid (£21!) for 2 breakfasts and 2 drinks. We sat at a table and after a further 20 mins there was no sign of our food. I went to the till to find out what was going on. Long story short, we were told that there was no record of us placing the order and that there was no record of our order on the till! Twice the Chef / Manager came to our table to challenge us on this, which was rather embarrassing. I assured her that I had paid £21. It was only thanks to a fellow customer who claimed he has seen us order and pay that she then went off to cook breakfast! When the food arrived I have to say it was lovely. A real shame, worth a visit but if it's busy, perhaps avoid.

Forget customer care, forget politeness, forget manners, it's top prices and oh, without any prior notice, it's cash only!We only wanted some ice creams, but after one of the ultra small scoops fell on the floor, there was no apology, no offer to rectify the loss, just a "no we don't take cards". After my partner explained what had happened (I was on the beach at the time), I went up with some cash and waited, and waited, and waited. No " I'll be with you in a minute sir", no "how can I help", just a blank look of indifference. Finally, I got the two uber small cornets "that's £5". I smiled and handed over the cash. No "thank you", no acknowledgement, no "sorry to have kept you waiting". Worst cafe experience ever. Be warned, take cash, lots of it, and do not expect a please, thank you or anything other than indifference. Be grateful just to receive underwhelming fare. Alternatively, take your own picnic and flask, the view from the beach is lovely.

This little place does what you'd expect. It's changed hands since last year and has been tidied up a bit. You'd be foolish to expect fine dining, but in the busy summer period you'd expect more than one person serving. The young girl serving us was very sweet and helpful, but was struggling to cope. What she did serve up was very nice though.

Have previously been for coffee/ice creams which are fine. Decided to go for lunch, and really have not had such poor food at such an inflated price for ages. Prawns were overcooked, chewy and inedible apart from by our unfussy dog. All other food was sort of OK but far too expensive for the quality. Service was OK but there was quite a wait for the food. This cafe has so much potential in this location, we would go back for coffee, but certainly not lunch.

With a friend we decided to drive to Loe beach for a snack and coffee as we wanted to be near the water, and were in Truro at the time, and didn't want to drive too far.Loe Beach is a delightful spot, not overly frequented during the week and the little cafe has plenty of outside seating to enjoy a sunny lunchtime. So the food is not exceptional, nor does it have the culinary aspiration of the Hidden Hut,but we were well served, and satisfied with the quality of our meal.I had a bacon bun, which was good value with three slices of excellent bacon, cooked just as I had asked it to be, crispy but not overcooked. My friend had chicken tika sandwich on granary, accompanied by a potato salad and lettuce. He pronounced it to be well filled and very good quality. The service was very friendly and quite quick in the circumstances, as the place was busy.If you want an unpretentious slice of the real Cornwall, with people in wet suits and sailors in bermuda shorts milling about around you as you sit in the sun looking over the estuary, this is the place for you.

My family and I including several kids went for breakfast. We had been several times before but not for a couple of years. We were always well looked after by a very pleasant lady. Sadly not this time. We were served if that is the right word by a younger woman. No welcoming smile or even a hello. The place was not specially busy. We took away a menu and returned to place the order to be met with the sullen brusque manner of someone who did not want to be bothered. A friendly enquiry as to whether they did kids portions of the full English was met with a 'No'. Part of the order was for bacon rolls. We were charged the same price as a bacon and egg roll £3.95! We waited for what seemed like ages for the drinks and a whole lot longer before we finally received our food. We had to collect our own cutlery and any sauces. In view of the fact that orders have to be given at the bar It seems that the only service at this cafe is that the food is brought to your table. The food was coldish for the most part and of low quality and the bacon rolls were found to contain just one rasher of bacon. The total bill for all the family members was in the region £70! What a complete ripoff! We will certainly not return again particularly as there is a car park charge of £2 to be paid for as well. In future we will go to the cafe at Mylor Harbour where the staff are charming and the food and service is of a far higher standard.

Could be great, but over £4 for a floppy sliced white bread grey ing tuna sandwich that tasted like old foot is not going to see you open for long. It's a beautiful setting. Get decent food and you could become a destination cafe, but food so bad a one year old won't even eat the toast and cheese is saying something, sorry ladies
