We may have been unlucky! We stayed here for a one night "en route" stopover, we checked in, unpacked and went for a meal in the adjacent Beefeater restaurant. Returning to the room we settled down to "relax" and decided to lower the lighting level. Unfortunately one of the bedside reading lights didn't work - no problem the over bed light would suffice, except, it didn't work either. Nevermind I thought its a Premier Inn, there's always a light on the dressing table, except there wasn't, the switch was there but no light fitting. Obviously nice subdued lighting was out of the question so plans were changed and the tv was put on. Hooray something that works at last, well sort of, some of the channels were a bit intermittent and we ended up settling down to watch a 15+ year old Midsummer Murders. Yep we were getting desperate! Eventually a quick trip to the loo was required, I can't say that I had to take my life in my hands but a badly fitted toilet seat that's obviously a too small replacement for the original meant taking aim or remaining stably seated was a feat of ultimate skill that should be featured on the Crypton Factor. Just when I thought the evening couldn't get any worse it started. BANG! After we'd regained our composure and realised there wasn't a maniacal gunman trying to assassinate us we returned to our new favourite pastime of counting the corpses in Badgers Drift (if you know, you know) BANG BANG this time the source of the percussive interruption became more obvious. The autocloser on the newly fitted fire door next to our room (did I mention they're extending the hotel?) was obviously not adjusted correctly BANG, BANG, BANGEDY BANG. On and on it went precluding any possibility of sleep until the early hours of the next day, of course I went down to reception for assistance. After all, that Brummie bloke Lenny Henry is always banging on about a good night guarantee so they'll sort the problem I thought "no mate, sorry there's nothing I can do! You'll have to tell the manager in the morning" was the response from the night receptionist who obviously felt it was time to put his feet up and grab a few zzz's. O Lenny why did desert me in my hour of need? Of course come the morning the manager was very understanding and gave me the contact details for customer relations who I will be contacting in due course, Being an eternal optimist I'm sure I'll get a sympathetic response?! Anyway, as I said we could have just been unlucky...

Well, it's a typical premier inn, receptionist calling me Darling!! Flirting with me.. I had a long day driving from Aberdeen to Truro.. Then I went to the adjoining restaurant and she's there i felt very uncomfortable.. But she did have a great smile!!

We somehow managed to pull a vip room and very nice it was too for less than £45. It was spacious with super comfy bed although we did need a ladder to get into it! Coffee machine, fridge with complement waters and chocolate, WiFi, easy chair with foot stool, decent bathroom with nice products. We opted for the Beefeater breakfast buffet which set us up for the day ahead. Cereals, croissants, pancakes, crumpets, yoghurt, granola, fresh fruit, juices, coffee, choice of teas, and full English fry up options with toast. All fresh and delicious. This particular stay was booked to save us travelling back after a show at the Hall for Cornwall. It only took 10 mins travel time, so it was perfect. Although there is building work going on close by, it was of no detriment to our stay. Staff were friendly and obliging. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Excellent stay. Super friendly staff. We are a frequent visitor to Premier Inns across the country and staying at their Truro Hotel is always a pleasure. The staff are always super friendly and cheerful, and the rooms are clean, well equipped and the shower is hot! What more can you ask for?!

Premier inn so it is what it is but this one is in desperate need of a renovation ! Parts of it have been but there's still a lot of rooms at the rear that are really showing there age.

Out of the way from truro but the place is old and out dated. Didn't smell nice. Man on reception was really nice. Room not a good standard, black mould in bathroom and a floor that was dangerous and un even. The noise from the people outside was horrific. Kids running in the corridor at 11pm, woman coughing constantly and smoking outside reception making her cough more. Kicking out time at the beefeater and loads of noise. An hour later staff left and more noise. Then a lorry reversed in at 5.30am to start moving cages of laundry. Beep beep beep. Horrific night no. Sleep at all for 3 of us in seperate rooms.

Couldn’t recommend more, rooms were great and staff were both friendly and helpful, especially Kelly. Will definitely use again if staying around Truro.

Awful - dreadful food and service from bar. Water pressure very low in room. The food was wetter than the shower. Generally very tired.

My son competes in a sport which means I spend most of my weekends ferrying him about the country and standing about in draughty sports halls at the crack of dawn - as such I consider myself a connoisseur of Premier Inns. The Truro PI is pretty good. Rooms clean and fresh, none of the issues with mould or damaged surfaces that other guests mentioned, perhaps it has been refurbished. Fold out bed already made up on arrival (sometimes they forget and have to do it after you arrive). They do have the stupid tap in the bathroom that limits the water flow which irritates me. No need to put the key card in a wall socket to get the lights to work. The beefeater next door is fine, nothing fancy but we had a perfectly acceptable dinner and breakfast. Only negative is that it some way out of Truro so pretty much nothing is in walking distance.

Cute place, really nice staff but the rooms need a bit of revamp. Some of the lights don’t work and the exhaust in the room is too loud. But otherwise a good stay.

I have stayed here a few times, the staff are always fab. Sadly room I was in wasnt great this time, two of the main lights weren't working so bathroom was dark and the room was dark, no spare rooms to be moved to and no one available to have a look and try to fix. Luckily I was only staying one night this time so wasn't a big problem but I'm not sure the room was properly checked before I checked in which would have potentially avoided the issue.

Worst Premier inn I have stayed in. Massive car park good, restaurant / bat is good. Accommodation is poorly maintained and run down. I stay in Premier inns a lot, this is by far the worst. Room smelt mouldy, my wife could still smell it when I got home. Wall had flaking paint. Outside the gutter had weeds growing out of them and the sign is faded. I hope this is lined up / undergoing a refurb.

Booked in at 20:30 at night then went to work got back at 02:00 and back up for 07:00 so can't really comment on the service as i only saw the receptionist once, and dropped my key off on the way out, the rooms are basic and the only issue I had was with where the plugs were in the room

Absolutely stunning. Hot (every part of the breakfast!) Freshly cooked and quick service. No fuss, classic, local spot. Will be coming again.
