The best restaurants in Southville Bristol, City of South West

A great little place selling an amazing array of yummy cakes. We had the Basque Cheesecake which was gorgeous. Lovely staff too.

Hated it. Definitely not my vibe. A local place with old chairs and not enough lighting.

This place has been on our list to visit for ages now and last Friday in a late Birthday celebration we went for lunch. On a miserable rainy day we spent a few hours here enjoying fabulous food. Sonny Stores is a really laid back place with friendly staff and amazingly delicious food cooked with love. To have a taste of the variation of food at Sonny's the server advised the two of us should share a dish from each course. Turns out that was excellent advice and we'd recommend that plan to people eating here. We had the Pumpkin Fritto to start, pasta course we had Pansotti and main we went for Cull Yaw Shoulder finished off with a coffee and Tiramisu. The Fritto was awesome, the pasta was perfect and some Focaccia bread mopped up the juices & oil. The Cull Yaw with carrots and drunken poatoes was so tender and tasty, a proper plateful too. Coffee and Tiramisu conpleted our meal. To accompany the meal we shared a bottle of red wine and the total bill was a reasonable £100. Overall we'd give Sonny Stores an easy 5 stars. Not sure why it took us so long to visit but we won't wait so long to go back. Thanks folks for such a yummy enjoyable lunch.

Nice authentic Turkish restaurant

Amazingly attentive and kind staff at this place. Saw them proactively offer a free coffee to a food delivery driver while he waited, and also give a young child an Oreo for “finishing her dinner”. And they were lovely to us too, when ordering and being served! Food was also excellent (I loved the classic felafel in a pita, and the pita chips were amazing), and they were very accommodating with dietaries. 10/10

First time brief visit,but will be back definitely! Clean pub,felt safe and VERY AFFORDABLE PRICES!

ORDER CANCELLED AFTER WAITING FOR OVER AN HOUR? Wtf why couldn’t they just cancel the order earlier.. rude.. never should’ve ventured away from Pizza Workshop gosh what a waste of time this place is

Excellent food freshly prepared by Spanish Particular!. We tried the majority of the menu and you will not be disappointed. Excellent quality and care! 100% recommended.

Visited for a family meal, have eaten here many times in the past. Thought the prices for steak had risen very highly since our last visit and surprised that chips were extra to accompany your meal. Those who ordered steaks said they tasted good although not cooked as requested. Salmon and ribs competitively priced but not tasty. Cheapest wine per bottle, £30 with wine list not including origin. Unfortunately will not be going back in the near future.

I wish I'd remembered to take photos. The service was good, very attentive. The food was cooked in a little kitchen you could get glimpses of. Definitely not bought in freezer food. Don't be put off by its slightly cafe appearance. It is a place to take your loved one on date night. People were just walking in, but it was full inside by 8pm ish. So my advice would be to book. We will be going back. Prices were okay between £10 & £30 for mains. Parking on North Street is free after 5pm.

Excellent food, causal service, and awesome atmosphere (with dogs!). Highly recommend for brunch or dinner, and excited to someday try the roast.

We had a really good dinner at Souk Kitchen, it surpassed our expectations. We ordered most things on the menu between the 4 of us (I think we just didnt order 2 of the mains) and it was enough, perhaps we were 1 dish too much. Good service. Quite pricey but it was a special occasion.
