We went for lunch with friends,to La Pineta Little Castle street Truro.
The food was delicious it was extremely good value everything was homemade, using genuine Italian ingredients. We had pasta, focaccia, cannoli and a wonderful selection on tasty cheeses... so many lovely flavours that we bought more to take home!
The decor was fabulous throughout as you would find in an Italian restaurant.
Thank you so much for such a delicious lunch - we will be back soon!
Stopped by today for a cup of tea. Venue beautiful, music playing perfect, loose leaf tea and wonderful staff. Probably the most peaceful cup of tea I’ve ever had.
Telephoned to see if the cafe was open today and told it was. 10 mins later we arrived and were told all tables were “reserved” and no room
This is a small tea room which I’ve visited on a few occasions as it’s reasonably local to me. I was pretty shocked that it seems you now need to “make a reservation” for a piece of cake and a cuppa! With only 5 tables this seems ridiculous
Won’t be going again and will be advising my family and friends that unless they make a reservation they won’t get in or even be told the information if they ring!!!
Sorry guys, understand you’ve a business to win but what about us locals who just want a nice place to go with a friend for a catch up and cuppa. Having supported you when you first opened I am sad to see the tea room has now turned into this
Also like to add there is no car park so parking is in street. Good luck with finding a place to park!!!!
Tuvimos un gran desayuno agradable taza de té el personal era muy educado y el servicio estaba en su punto. Y tengo una buena elección de comida aparcamiento fuera es bueno
Popped in for a quick ice cream on our way back to the boat. Not only was the ice cream very tasty but the staff were super friendly. The Mango sorbet was delicous!
Husband saw a review somewhere recently which said best bacon bap in Exeter was from Buttylicious. Had to visit furniture store earlier today which is just down the road so thought let's give it a try. What an amazing choice of food at very good prices but decided to stick with our original choice. Three very large thick slices of lovely bacon in a soft bap. Had to go back to the lady to say how lush the bacon was. We will definitely be back but not sure for what as so much to choose from. Maybe a cheeseburger as another customer was just being served one and it too looked delicious. Don't anybody think this is just another butty van in a car park, it is so much more!
Over the years when visiting my dear Cousin Joy in Pewsey I have made a point of popping in to this wonderful bakery.
Bacon roll bursting with at least four layers of tasty hot bacon, a very jammy doughnut & an Eccles cake for just over FIVE pounds in London this combo would knock you back for at least £8!
The range on offer ticks every box of quality and choice. If you want a trip down memory Lane there are long forgotten delights on offer yes I must try the Lardy cake next time!
Bread selection to die for and lovely welcoming staff.
If you have never been to Marshalls get on down!
Nothing to fault. Staff were lovely and so was the coffee. Prices are very reasonable. Clothes to browse too. Very clean. Will definitely return if in the area.
Great lunchtime visit today. Excellent value, warm, welcoming atmosphere, good food and good coffee. 2 children (4+6) were happy to play on the equipment whilst their grownups chatted and sad to leave at the end of our slot.
In search of a snack on a wet and cold March lunchtime, we happily chose The Little Coffee Cup.
An excellent sandwich, made to order by very friendly ladies.
Highly recommended.
the owner of the spud shack is very obliging in that any combination of a hot potato and fillings are readily available had any a hot spud to take home for an easy lunch
Best coffee on our trip through England so far and that includes some pretty big cities including London. We stumbled upon this container and counted ourselves lucky. The owner/barista was very pleasant and chatted briefly about the inception of the place and his expansion. We got 2 cappuccinos and the barista made some fancy artwork in the milk. I also got a piece of pastry from a local baker which was super fresh and to die for. The cappuccino tasted amazing, very rarely, outside of Italy, do you get a cappuccino that’s made with a great tasting bean, not bitter, but strong and a hint of sweet and then the perfect froth on top that’s not too milky or foamy. This one was PERFECT.
Aside from that, I loved the furniture made out of pallets and the tastefully decorated container. I could have happily stayed longer, sipping cappuccinos in the sun there, but unfortunately there was no bathroom on site. As the season picks up, maybe a portable??
My family and I (husband and 15 yr old daughter) stayed here for a week. Although it appears to be in the middle of nowhere, it's in the perfect spot for touring Cornwall.
The lodge we stayed in was clean and spacious, and altho we were all in the same room, the layout of having the single bed in an alcove next to the bathroom gave us all a little privacy. We also really appreciated having access that wasn't via the pub and a separate little parking area just for residents.
But what really makes this place special are your hosts Dave and Bernie, they're so accommodating, welcoming and friendly. After only a couple of days it felt like we were spending time with old friends. And to top it off the food is so good and very generous, you will never go hungry!!
We are hoping to return to Cornwall in a couple of years, and we already know where we'll be staying 😁
