In search of a snack on a wet and cold March lunchtime, we happily chose The Little Coffee Cup. An excellent sandwich, made to order by very friendly ladies. Highly recommended.

I have been to this cafe twice in the past 10 days with my daughter and grandsons. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the service excellent and the premises were immaculately clean. I am shocked by the visitor to Bideford who, having acknowledged all the attributes I detail above, has felt it appropriate to write so spitefully about the customers who were present on the occasion that he went into the cafe. I am equally shocked that TripAdvisor have been happy to post such a review. I am local to Bideford and in addition to using the Cafe myself, I know many people who are regulars. The owners of this cafe provide quality food and drink and a safe, warm, nurturing place for some of the more vulnerable and very elderly residents of the town. I am disgusted by the intolerance and ignorance demonstrated by the person who describes these vulnerable people as being “on day release”. He should be ashamed of himself. Trip Advisor, where is your quality control?

Popped in for a bit of lunch today while wandering around Bideford. Staff are friendly and helpful and the food was tasty and well presented. No problems with that or the cleanliness of the establishment.

We found this little shop by accident and glad we did!! We had cream teas and a children’s beans on toast. The scones were hot and were absolutely delicious!! Plenty of cream and jam and a lovely cup of tea to wash it down! The kids meal was a generous size and our son really enjoyed it. Fantastic friendly service too, thank you. Strongly recommended this lovely little coffee shop

Meeting a friend and called in for a drink as we were early. Staff friendly, service very good and all food is home cooked. Cakes/scones looked absolutely beautiful - (wish we had eaten here and not the choice we made). This is a little gem and deserves 5 stars. Thank you.

But that is more for its food than its view – it being sited part way along a street of shops. Whilst it is obviously famed for its cakes and scones we were more interested in sandwiches and tea. These came generously filled, with salad and coleslaw and were very tasty to eat. Although we did not wish to indulge in the cakes it was good to see that there was a choice of 5 or 6 different gluten free cakes available for celiac sufferers. The September 2016 FSA inspection gave the Little Coffee Cup a 5 rating. To use the loos, one is well advised to heed the warning to hold on to the hand rail on the stairs.

We had a lovely lunch at the Little Coffee Cup with gluten free bread and soup together with 2 cappucinno's and I took home 2 gluten free teacakes and 3 bottles of her delicious salad dressing. This lady has not long taken over the cafe which used to be Gerties but is so much friendlier and we will certgsinlh be back again.

Robbie and Karen took over and renamed this cafe Septemberish 2016. Hailing from the North East they brought with them the good value no nonsense attitude famous in the area of the country they come from. They stay open for their advertised times, unlike some of Bidefords eateries who could take a leaf out of their book. The coffee is lovely, the tea cakes are the biggest and best in town. All the food looks and tastes lovely and freshly made, with changing daily specials. and the selection is wide enough to cater for everyone, including those looking for gluton free food. They are already gathering a wide circle of regulars, but newcomers and visitors are equally welcomed here. Try it for yourselves I don't think you will be disappointed. The only thing to note if you are not good with stairs is that the toilet facilities are on the first floor.

I popped in here for a quick coffee, mainly because they sell gluten free cakes and sandwiches. I was offered a choice of four gluten free cakes, and I chose the chocolate brownie which was served warm with a small amount of cream on the side. This was very nice and a reasonable price. Friendly service and clean facilities. I will return the next time I'm in Bideford and try the sandwiches/rolls.

A lovely, friendly cafe with freshly made food and great coffee! This is my fourth visit here, I only visit when coming to Winkleigh and I always come back. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food is lovely, my only feedback would be that it would be nice to have a couple more vegan options. I opted for avocado on toast and my partner had the veggie breakfast without egg and both were delicious.

We were visiting family in Bideford and decided to come here for the first time for breakfast. We’re glad we did as the veggie breakfasts were excellent and good value, and service was friendly. We’d definitely return if we were in Bideford again.

We stayed the week in the local area and discovered this lovely pub, full of character and great people. We enjoyed some excellent food and a great variety of beers 🍻 Very reasonably priced , given the quality of the offerings. We were able to bring our dog, who was given a bowl of water by the friendly bar staff. Overall, I would highly recommend, will certainly be returning next time we are in this part of the world.
