Faultless. 3 different meals all arrived at the same time pipe hot, very quick service considering the place was almost full and lovely friendly staff.

Absolutely love this place, travel over from Barnstaple whenever we can for the build a breakfast. (I'm the one that has fried, scrambled and poached egg 😂😂). I've never known an establishment have such a positive atmosphere whether rammed in August or quiet in January, makes no difference. The staff are a credit to themselves and the restaurant and the food is top quality. Look forward to my next visit.

19 of us descended on Paul and Tammy for their xmas special,The Loaded roast!! Everyone without exception loved the meal and whole experience,for some it was their first time at The Rock Pool and others of us who have enjoyed our weekly visit during 2024. We also sang quite a few carols which was great fun. Many thanks to the wonderful staff who put up with us!! We look forward to the coming year and many more great times at our local cafe. This place is good for having tea and cake but also lunch with friends or family, the place is beautifully decorated and definitely beach themed though it’s toned down to a simple way, the food is delicious and filling! I’ve been here multiple times and it just keeps getting better and better

My wife I and the little one visited this cafe several times during our visit to Westwood Ho. Management, the staff and food was so good we just kept visiting. They made us feel so welcome and went out of their way to help us. This cafe definitely rocks. Thank you. Darren, Mairead and Aoife x

This week: beef chilli jacket potato; 95% potato to 5% chilli. Barely a table spoon of chilli topping. I’m excluding the salad from this. Come on guys, it’s just not good enough. The potato was nicely cooked. The topping was barely noticeable due to the lack of it so I can’t even comment on it. Not a one-off as it wasn’t the only one on the order. This is how you drive customers to try elsewhere. Bad business 👎

This cafe ROCKS! From the minute you walk through the door to the moment tour leave its friendly, helpfully and has delicious food. Well worth a visit. We live locally and come here all the time.

A good spot for lunch with children after a walk on the beach. The menu is a mixture of American diner food eg. pancakes, burgers etc with British cafe food eg. fried breakfasts. Simple but decent fare and reasonably priced. Staff are always very friendly and accommodating.

Popped in for a quick coffee to then have a cheeky breakfast. Lovey warm atmosphere and very welcoming. Dog friendly/caring. Would highly recommend and the Lemon drizzle cake was delicious.

Visited twice during our week's holiday in Westward Ho! Breakfast and lunch were both delicious. The coffee was excellent and my son loved his milkshakes. Great service and staff.

Day we visited it was raining, had our young grandson with us, staff great, made room for us and the buggy, cakes great

Had an excellent experience at this cafe! Very friendly staff who couldn't help us enough with getting our family seated, kids entertained etc. We had the full English breakfast and it was amazing.

Superb cafe. Choice of making your own breakfast is a great idea with lots of choice. Chamomile tea I had was excellent as is their coffee. Staff couldn't be friendlier. An all round gem.

Wow! What a lovely friendly place this is, all of the staff are so lovely, happy, confident and really take pride in their job. The food was brilliant, breakfast 2 days in a row and we couldn't fault it. Really happy to have visited you guys and we'll definitely be back next time we visit.... the servers were lovely and I enjoyed the conversations had with them, the atmosphere as well was superb making me feel warm and welcomed. however the food wasn't all there for me as the portion sizes were too small for the pricein my opinion. however the food I did eat was quite tasty I just wish I had more of it.

Awesome! Went today for breakfast, a table of 12... Not a problem to Tami, Paul and the girls. Seated upstairs with a lovely view out the window. We had the big breakfast, small breakfast some had extra bits and some had bits taken off, once again not a problem. We had a vegan breakfast, eggs Benedict with ham, eggs Benedict with salmon, tea, coffee, flat whites, Americano, herbal tea, a banana milkshake (huge and very nice) and everything arrived, exactly as ordered and piping hot. You can build your own breakfast if you choose to, and extensive breakfast menu, great selection from the menu. The girls were lovely, serving with a smile and clearly happy in their work, caring without being intrusive like so often happens when eating out. Even though there were a few people waiting to be seated when we left were didn't feel rushed at all. This wasn't a lucky visit, 4 of us went the day before and got exactly the same service. Very highly reccomeded if you are in the area.

Amazing cafe, came in with my whole family 12 of us (we did book). Amazing food and some of the loveliest service we had on the holiday. One of our party is in a wheelchair, they were well organised and helpful with regard to this. To finish though, great food.

The staff were so friendly and the food was great - had one of the best milkshakes of my life. The location was also close to the beach so perfect after surfing. We've been to rock pool twice in the last week and will definitely be back again.

We always end our holiday with a rock pool cafe breakfast and it never fails to impress me. Staff are lovely and friendly, food is excellent quality and it's very clean and hygienic inside. Would highly recommend!

Friendly and welcoming service from arrival, accommodating of particular requests (my partner asked for a ice latte with chai & coffee), and accompanied with food delivered to an excellent standard at a short wait. 10/10 would recommend to everyone I know, and would visit again if in the area.

A fantastic venue to have a relaxing breakfast/lunch. We’ve been here a couple of times on our trip to Westward Ho! And just like in the past, will return again. Very welcoming and great for our little toddler.

We went today and had a fantastic breakfast . I'm not a milkshake person but thought I would try one and they were delicious . Everyone enjoyed their food and great idea being able to make your own choice of breakfasts . Staff and owners friendly .. If you are staying here try and you wont be disappointed

What a great cafe, serving fantastic good. Staff were so friendly and engaging, made our time there so enjoyable. Really dog friendly, which was a bonus. Food was brilliant. We all had pancakes, but the rest of the menu also looked good.

Went for breakfast twice this week whilst on our hols. Staff really friendly, food was lovely. We loved that you looked after our dog just as much as us. Fresh drinking water and dog treats provided. Milkshakes and smoothies are amazing.

We popped into the cafe today for a bacon & mushroom bap & pot of tea, it was absolutely delicious and staff are exceptionally friendly & very attentive we will as always be visiting the Rockpool cafe several times during our holiday as it’s absolutely the best in Westward Ho !

Sat on the patio with the family and dog for breakfast, had the Builders Bap, brown sauce (obvs) and a Latte. Great service and the Bap was excellent too, American style pancakes went down well too. Highly recommended. (Dogs not allowed inside, but they did bring mine a bowl of water).

Great spot! Had two enormous cooked breakfasts two mornings in a row, then went back the same day for one of the delicious homemade scones - which was really good and served with really nice clotted cream and jam. Would recommend everything and will be going back again to try one of the famous milkshakes!

I was in westward ho! for two nights for a lovely escape from London. I ended up taking a handsome date to the rock pool cafe both mornings where we had great coffee, an awesomely sweet banarama pancake, and a build-your-own breakfast the next day. Food was great, coffee was great, and the service was great! Would 100% recommend! Très Bien!

We were staying in Westward Ho! for 4 nights and every morning we had breakfast in Rockpool cafe. This place is absolutely amazing and has everything what you need: a huge variety of tasty dishes, extremely friendly staff and such a lovely atmosphere. It is really worth money and highly recommend.

I just came to Westward Ho! For a wee break and tripped across this magical cafe called rock pool cafe wow wow wow I have not come across such charming staff in such a long time, at my table I studied the very comprehensive menu I took a chance with the large breakfast my cappuccino and breakfast arrived within minutes the cafe was buzzing and yet the service was 5 star and always with a smile and a willingness to help this is missing in many major restaurants. What a beautiful way to start a day 5 days in Westward Ho 5 all day breakfasts in the rock pool cafe "brilliant" like the terminator I will be back

What an amazing little jewel. This place serves the best English breakfast EVER and I ate here everyday while on a visit to see my dad. The staff are the happiest I’ve ever met and made me feel welcomed every time I arrived. The new owners are all about ‘ Customer Service’ and whether it’s a quick stop for a cuppa or a full blown lunch, this IS the place to go. Thank you Staff and Owners for making what was an emotional trip so much easier with your warmth and AMAZING food. Francine ❤️

Rockpool cafe is simply brilliant. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the food is amazing and did I mention the milkshakes!? We stopped for lunch on our golf trip last week and just had to go back for breakfast the next day too. The team made us feel right at home and I’ll definitely be going back next time in the area. Nothing beats a morning coffee and sandwich whilst watching the tide come in! And yes… I’d recommend the milkshake

I was recommended this place when visiting Westward Ho! It definitely lived up to expectations! Originally just went for breakfast but it was so good we went back the next day! Highly recommend the full English for breakfast and cheesy chips (with a milkshake) for lunch! Staff were also very friendly!

I was in Westward Ho! On holiday with friends for the weekend and we visited Rockpool Cafe for the first time on Friday morning for breakfast, the Breakfast Bap and the coffee were that good that we insisted on going back the following day for brunch and it didn’t disappoint. I went for the berry pancake stack and passion fruit smoothie and it was the perfect meal for a beautiful sunny brunch by the coast. Add to that the fact that the team working there were incredibly welcoming, friendly and chatty, it felt like they’d known you for years and couldn’t do enough for you.

Great spot for some brunch! Manager took our number and gave us a call when a table became free for us which was great, food and service also top notch!
