i have been here several times, the atmosphere is lovely and quirky. The staff work hard and are friendly and polite. The only thing that made the visit not 100% is that they have changed the recipe for their carrot cake , which was until last week my favourite. it had always been light and fluffy, but now is dense and claggy. i wont be having it again, and sadly they don't have any other home made cake, so will stick to coffee, which is really nice

We came to Newquay for the day, and after walking along the beaches were longing for a cup of tea in pleasant, comfortable surroundings. Having walked in and out of three places, all of which seemed dismal, my partner suggested we try here. It suited us perfectly as we were able to flop down on a comfortable sofa and share a pot of loose tea for two. It was good tea. The cafe is in a converted Chapel and has parquet flooring, lots of plants, nice tables and chairs, and space for children to play. There is a table tennis table and a small skate board track. I was really aback to see people whizzing around on it. It's mainly run by volunteers and all monies made ploughed back into the community. What a find! We looked at the menu though not eating and would definitely return for food here next time we come. I have to say it's really heart warming to see this Chapel being used to its full extent. It is depressing, I think, to find churches that are only used on Sundays and odd occasions

Wave House Cafe is my favorite spot to unwind and enjoy a delicious meal. The staff are always warm and welcoming, making every visit a pleasant experience. The food is consistently great, with a menu that caters to diverse tastes and preferences. The ambiance at Wave House Cafe is simply wonderful. It has a charming and relaxed feel that makes it perfect for families, especially those with young kids. The dedicated kids' area is a fantastic feature, keeping little ones entertained while parents enjoy their meal. As a local restaurant owner who loves dining out, I can confidently say that Wave House Cafe is one of my top choices. The combination of excellent service, delightful food, and a cozy atmosphere keeps me coming back regularly. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience in town.

this quirky cafe is so worth a visit! It’s such a cool place and is in a perfect location with being in the busy area of town and a 5 minute walk from Newquay beach! 🌊 I Love the idea of a cafe in a church too, it is also charity run! 😄 They have table tennis, a baby/toddler area and skate ramp all inside too Below is what we had to eat & drink: Drinks: Hot chocolate Masala chai latte Revitalising smoothie Food: We chose from some of the specials they had on: Hot pot of the day - carrot, orange & ginger served with sourdough toast 🫚 Brioche bun filled with avocado, chilli jam, bacon, lime & olive oil 🥑 Mediterranean toastie - filled with mozzarella, olives, caramelised onions, sun-dried tomatoes & basil 🌿 Home made sausage rolls Dessert: Homemade carrot cake 🥕 Lemon polenta pistachio 🍋 All of the food was lovely, my favourites had to be the pork & apple cider sausage roll, the hot pot & carrot cake! 😋

Very disappointed. This place had such good reviews. My husband had a chicken wrap, there were pieces of bone in it and alot of inedible sinew. He's not a fussy eater, but he said it was not nice at all. The other issue was price.. 1 x can of fizzy drink, 1 x smoothie, 1 x wrap, 1 x bagel...£24.00!! Ridiculous price. We went because we like to support local businesses, supporting the community, but this was a rip off.

We stumbled across this gem whilst on the last day of our holiday in Cornwall. I don’t know where to start on how fantastic this cafe was! I was expecting a traditional church cafe from the outside but as soon as you walk in, the decor is modern and clean, spacious and comfortable. There were some toys for the children and a hammock which kept them entertained whilst we were there. The menu wasn’t extensive but it didn’t need to be, the food was really tasty and there was something for all of us. I don’t think I have ever met friendlier staff. I could tell they were all genuinely kind hearted people and nothing was too much trouble. Whilst we were eating we saw a homeless man come in and get a salad without paying, we then saw they had a buy it forward scheme for people who for whatever reason, could not afford to buy food. We thought this was a wonderful idea and went back to the counter to buy a salad forward for someone else. Next time we are in Newquay, we will definitely be going back. They also have a skate ramp inside the church … so cool!!

Wave House Cafe was truly excellent in every way, from the amazing and friendly welcome, to the great taste of the coffee and food. This cafe has the perfect mix for people with families and for the people individually to have their own space! Definitely recommended and definitely coming back!! I also love their values and heart of the cafe, to be fully sustainable and non-profitable. Go check it out!!

Very good B&B in a very central location. But it is very expensive so 'value for money' comes into question. Very good cooked breakfast served in the mornings but for the money it should provide freshly squeezed orange juice.

Went into the Orange Cafe Bar on New Year’s Eve day time not actually knowing it was a plant based cafe. Not being vegan doesn’t mean you can’t visit this lovely little cafe, there were four of us and we had meals and drinks, I had hummus and roasted vegetables which was delicious my partner had a flat bread type meal and our other two friends had mac and cheese and loaded fries everyone enjoyed their meal, don’t bypass this lovely cafe in the middle of the village.
