Dough Taunton in Taunton Deane

One of the reasons we like living in Taunton. Open from 8:30am. Great coffee, amazing bread and cakes. Lunch was both wholesome and super tasty. Staff are incredibly patient and friendly

I have tried to make sourdough and so far without success. A little internet searching told me about this place and I went in and bought my first loaf today. It made delicious sandwiches for our lunch and we will be definitely buying more - hoping the delivery service starts soon.

I was visiting Taunton with a friend who lives fairly locally and Dough was my friend's choice for a mid-morning cup of coffee. The shop was buzzing with customers buying bread and pastries. We had a lovely cup of coffee inside which did not disappoint. Would definitely recommend a stop here for coffee (and maybe a pastry!)

Delicious cakes and pastries. I will definitely be returning, the menu looks good, its a very small building so not suitable for big groups of people but perfect for a catch up with some friends. Will definitely be returning.

As well as the most amazing food here we had the most amazing birthday cake from Dough for my daughters 21st. The flavour was outstanding. Everyone said how lovely it tasted and looked. Thank you so much, definitely highly recommend a visit here and we will be back here soon.

I'm delighted to have found a really good croissant in Taunton. I mean a really good, properly laminated one. I feel they are underselling themselves by only asking for￡1.90 as these are very time consuming to make well. Also lovely was the pastry on the quiche which was beautifully crumbly. The staff were lovely and polite too and the coffee very good - give the usual chain coffee houses that proliferate in this town a miss. Time to go local and support a wonderful small business.

Sourdough Bakery & Cafe, in historic side street in Taunton. Considering how expensive 'proper' sourdough loaves are to buy, it was exceptional value - 2 x Multi-seed SD loaves for £7.60 (our local one charges £9.00 for 2 and they're not as big). Also has a selection of pastries and Coffee - few tables inside.

We just started to visit Dough for our weekly bread. Better still you can get a lovely coffee too! We’ve not tried the pastries, but they look epic!

Oh my goodness you simply HAVE to go to Dough if you’re in Taunton and you must try the Cruffins!!!!! D-licious! A friendly warm welcome with delicious treats and great coffee!

A gem of a place. We called in here for morning coffee and bite to eat. Lovely cakes and pastries, all made on the premises with local ingredients. The sourdough bread we purchased to try at home later was also great. It will definitely become our go to place when in Taunton.

The best spot in town hands down. A perfect place to meet with friends over a coffee and pastries. The quality of the food is spectacular, the service is extremely friendly and the speed in service is amazing! I must try the bread soon also!

Wonderful bread, so much better than the pappy supermarket stuff. Freshly made and baked on site. If you like real sour dough you are in for a treat! The sandwiches and coffee are so good I often end up having one when I go in to buy some bread. 😳 Great staff, super friendly and welcoming, I can't recommend this place enough. Seven out of five stars 😂

Artisan and independently run. Have a sit inside and chat to the knowledgeable staff. The coffee is very good so too the pastries, savoury items and bread. It is tucked away in Bath Place and is better than any big national chain.

Dough is a great little cafe located in Bath Place, Taunton. It sells an amazing selection of pastries and cakes and also quiche, focaccia sandwiches and cheese and marmite whirls as well as tea, coffee & cold drinks. Well worth a visit if you are in Taunton. Highly recommended.
