Provides a good range of activities for adults with learning difficulties

This place is facilitated by compass disability services. However the manager of the compass disability cafe will not support parents or customers with children who have learning problems. So do not come here if your child is in any way disruptive or if you have to manage 2 small children at once, as they will go to great efforts to make you feel uncomfortable and force you to leave. Absolutely awful attitude towards customers and they act completely against their own values. And on response to their comments below, all I can say on the matter is this organisation is delusional. They run a stay and play group for toddlers expecting perfect behaviour and good manners from children who are not able to communicate due underlying disabilities. So I would suggest reflecting on the fact that you are running a stay and play TODDLER group at a disability centre and not Eton college boarding school! And toddlers behaving disruptively is a NORMAL part of development and not a reason to scrapegoat a parent. And on a separate note, allowing a dirty buggy to be pushed through a children's play area is NOT appropriate and unhygienic and allowing that is disrespectful towards all the other customers. You should call yourselves The Compass Superiority Complex centre. 😆

Booked a sensory room slot for my 5 month old, and wasn’t informed that they would be hosting a music activity at the same time. My daughter was really struggling with the loud music and noise, so I requested a refund or rebooking because we had only been in the room for a few minutes. The woman on the reception was fairly rude, and wasn’t very helpful. I understand it’s a multi-use space, and there will be clashing with events, but as a sensory room, I would expect it to be a calm place. I don’t appreciate the way my concerns were dismissed. I will not book with compass again, as I am now aware that it is a company focused more on profit than the clients they claim to help access a safe space. My advice for anyone wanting to book a slot for any of their rooms would be to call before you book and ask what events they have going, so you don’t waste money.

Absolutely lovely cafe. Great team that work, very friendly and welcoming! Help with any issues and it’s just a lovely environment to be in. Amazing with everyone, takes time and helps to overcome barriers for individual with needs. Just an amazing place to be at, with lovely warm food. Nothing ever is a problem.

We visit for the family bingo as my autistic son loves it. We have so much fun and it's relaxed x

Well my wife works at Compass well-being and the work atmosphere is so amazing ,she loves it. On top of that her colleagues are very useful. She love working there with whole heartedly

Attended the easter disco today with my 2 year old and 5 month old we had such a fantastic time all of the children (and adults) had lots of fun... we also attend stay and play every week and have to say the welcoming atmosphere from staff and facilities are amazing. Thank you to Michelle and all the team for all of your hard work and for always making me and my children feel so welcome 🥰

Cant give 0 star previous supervisor prewarned me about compass ethics! Do not work for I have mental health and recently physical health issues unfairly terminated and my supervisor made redundant because "I resigned" in sept 2022 both still haven't received our p45 or last month of works pay and they've shut shopmobility down my neighbour still hasn't gotten her scooter back or compensation for it courts are calling!

Great place for the under 5s.... my grandson loves it here .. they also serve a great cup of coffee .And the staff are welcoming and caring

Went to a Stay and Play session for the first time. The staff were so helpful and friendly. A great selection of toys for ages 0 to 5 and superb value for money.

Went to the disco for the ist time,it was really good loved it

Compass Wellbeing is a venue with an inclusive cafe, rentable hydrotherapy pool and sensory room amongst other facilities. It hosts an all ability disco Thursday afternoon. The staff are friendly and keen to help and the food & drink are very reasonably priced for Taunton.

Have been here 3 times now for hire of the pool. So warm and clean. Been in the cafe also very reasonable. Friendly chatty staff. Definitely recommend

Wonderful staff very friendly and it has a lovely Caffè nice food and the hydro therapy pool nice and clean highly recommended if you have a child or adult who has autism

Excellent service for the community. Everyone needs to support this centre to ensure it is not lost. The hydropool is fantastic and you can book sessions for sole use. Staff are very helpful and there , should you need any help or support. Wish we had a centre like this nearer to our home in wales, but was well worth the trip. Will definitely make future trips down there.

Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Didn't realise this place was in taunton, its a little gem and can be so helpful for new mums.

Really fabulous customer service, staff are always friendly, and a Wellbeing Stack really hits the spot! Great activities for little ones, and the sensory room is so calming.

It's great because it helps people with learning difficulties to integrate in to the community and meet new people, make new friends and build relationships. I love going to their disco evenings and during the days we bring our service users to use the hydro pool.

The help that is there. A science demonstration. Kids loved it, bangs, colours, play thing and something to eat.

And serve wonderful fresh ground coffee

Just used the pool but everything was fine.

Wonderful inclusive facility. The staff are fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable and welcome everyone to the centre. The hydropool is warm and the activities during holidays are brilliant. The cafe is great; I recommend the Wellbeing Stack.

Bit disappointed with my purchase of sausage and bacon bap as the sausage was dry and also spread was put on the bap causing it to be very greasy , tip , ask if spread is required as all folk don't want it,the place was very clean and staff who run it were very friendly

Well worth becoming involved the team are very professional and do valuable consideration with local agencies and makes participation very easy no matter your disability keep up the good work and thank you 🙂

We use the hydro pool once a week. The changing facilities are good, especially with tracking out over the pool directly from the accessible changing room, but the bed isn't adjustable so not great if you're a bit short. There is also a bit of a lip between the changing area and the tiled pool area so you need a good support for any children or people with mobility issues not to trip or stub their toes. The pool is small but warm and has a good bubble function which ends up like foam on the surface and slowly disappears. Could do with some sensory lights.

The hydopool is good for all ages and it has everything you always wanted from toys to floats every kind of float

Had a great day at the Wellbeing Centre today. We did our Fitness hour with Martin and some new members. Later we had lunch including whole made vegetable soup and crusty roll. Why not come along for a coffee and see all the activities and the hydrapool. Tomorrow night we will be going to their monthly BINGO great fun and great prizes come and join us eyes down 7.0 pm

We had an absolutely brilliant time at the Santa experience today! All the staff were fab and helpful, my son loved the sensory room and seeing Santa and the bowling particularly whilst the adults made stuff for him and his baby brother! Thank you for an amazing afternoon!

El café ofrece una variedad de bocadillos, bebidas y comidas, y nos han llamado varias veces cuando nos ha venido para sesiones de hidroterapia. El personal es amable; algunos de ellos son muy serviciales. Lo que obtienes es bastante inconsistente; por ejemplo una semana la hamburguesa venía con una pequeña ensalada y parecía muy apetecible, la próxima semana la misma hamburguesa sin ensalada, algunas cebollas añadido dentro del rollo. El personal no son tan estaba al tanto como podrían ser, por ejemplo, cuando le pregunté si la sopa era vegetariana la respuesta fue 'probablemente'! Según la web el café sale un esquema de 'pagar avance" - puedes pagar algo del menú, que luego los medios dieron un cupón para el foodbank cerca alguien te venga en un poco de comida o bebida. Una gran idea, pero por el momento no hay nada en el café para recordarles que hemos destinado a hacer dos veces, pero ambas veces olvidado. Hay mucho que ver en la zona de café; literatura y 2 útiles libros de mano y rompecabezas para la venta. También hay un montón de arte en las paredes, por desgracia demasiado elevado para un usuario de silla de ruedas. Se puede ver que este lugar convirtiéndose en una ventaja real para la comunidad.

El personal amable y el servicio. con asientos. El horario de apertura es extendido domingos incluidos. . Sentimos hambre y la comida y bebida llenas esta brecha.
