the owner of the spud shack is very obliging in that any combination of a hot potato and fillings are readily available had any a hot spud to take home for an easy lunch

Very friendly guy the jackets are cooked fresh with various fillings at a good rate do also hot and cold drinks

Visited this place for the first time. Very friendly staff, really nice large potato, cooked well, nice skin. Had chilli topping which was also very good. Nice spice but not too hot. £4.50 well spent and would recommend. Nice healthy option fast food.

A quick, delicious meal. We were allowed to sample the curry and the chili before purchasing to make sure we liked them (we did!). We'll be back!

I've tried the Spud Shack a few times and I've never been disappointing. Lots of choice which always includes a fantastic veggie option. Of course most options are Jacket Spuds with fillings but they also do an outstanding pork in a bap with crackling, stuffing and apple sauce - I have just finished one and it was so good it prompted me to write this review. I see they now have tables and chairs so you can eat straight away al fresco. When you have to pay 3 quid for a rubbish tasteless sandwich everywhere else in Taunton it is definitely worth paying an extra quid or two to get a proper hearty and delicious feed. Shame it's closed on a Monday. Top marks.

Being undecided about something to eat, I thought i would try a jacket potato from the Spud-Shack. They have a large selection, which can be quite daunting. The helpful host will give tips, so that is good. After eating my jacket potato, I felt that I had made the right choice for my meal.

My family was fortunate to experience the Spud Shack while at a caravan rallywith Davan Caravans in Weston Super Mare. Superb facilities with confirmed top marks for hygiene from the back of a 'mobile kitchen'! Huge potatoes baked to perfection with six or more fillings available plus the opportunity to mix fillings - served in huge disposable dishes with lids. Additional sauces, toppings, coleslaw and superb chopped Jalapenos were also part of the offering. If you are in the Somerset area and see the Spud Shack, or are near to their restaurant or are looking for a mobile caterer to offer a different sort of party food do not hesitate to book it. Tremendous enthusiasm from staff, well cooked food and they also remove all used containers etc.

A must for spud lovers! Amazing choice of super-tasty homemade fillings and superb finishing touches like fresh coriander to tantalise your taste-buds. Super Slimming World-friendly too - an added bonus and a guilt-free lunch :) As for the warm welcome, great advice and exceptional customer service - loved it!

This may be a small trailer food outlet, however the owner has a big heart and the food is always lovely and hits the spot. I, like many others in the town, am on the slimming world diet, and the gentleman is well known in the local groups as he knows roughly how many syns are in each filling and will weigh out 30g of cheese for your healthy extra a choice. We have brought our dog before with us and he came out with some treats for her to, so even better that he is dog friendly. It's great spot to sit outside to, as you have the shelter from the trees so you aren't in the direct sunlight. I will continue to keep coming back and getting my stamps on my loyalty card.

Love the spud shack, fantastic portion sizes and I always have the chilli with cheese and sometimes sour cream. Always on my lunchtime list

We had the best spud ever today. SlimmingWorld friendly too with the knowledge of the syn values. Great customer service as he obviously loves his job and very proud. Veg curry totally scrummy and the tuna, red onion and lime was fab too. Can't wait to go again.

Id of never of thought that one of the best lunch time meals would have been purchased from a street shack. These jacket potatoes are the best around. All the fillings are home made and the gentleman behind the counter is so helpful and friendly. He knows how many sins his fillings are on slimming world and will even weigh out the amount of cheese to your healthy extra! Its so refreshing to have somewhere to get good healthy food from, at great prices and sooooooo tasty! The vegetable curry is amazing! You get a loyalty card too, after 5 spuds you get a free drink and after 10 you get a free spud! A great place to grab food in your lunch hour, or sit on the provided seats and enjoy it on your day off. People of Taunton and visitors, please support this local business, you wont regret it!
